Seeing that Emma wanted to add something, Ava quickly continued, "Besides, the manager didn't want to fire me. This was all for the sake of the company, and I don't want to put him in a difficult position."
Perhaps it was Ava's genuine sincerity that resonated with Emma, for she finally dropped the idea of complaining to Damian Sterling.
However, her expression remained somewhat sour.
