It was the third day, and Emma Hart's sleep quality remained poor, with her total sleep over the past three days not even reaching the amount a normal person would get in one day.
Damien Sterling, running his company, had made arrangements to bring his personal doctor to the premises.
"How was she when you saw her this morning? How is her condition?" Damien inquired.
The personal doctor's expression was laden with concern. "The situation doesn't look very optimistic."
"Is medication the only option? She's pregnant," Damien pointed out.
With a tremble in his voice, the doctor replied, "Actually, Mr. Sterling, the primary cause of Miss Emma's insomnia seems to be her depressive state. If her mood could be improved, it might resolve her sleep issues."
"Improve her mood?" Damien echoed.
The doctor nodded, feeling inexplicably intimidated each time he spoke with Damien Sterling.
