Emma Hart came downstairs and inquired, "Where is he?"
"Sir just went out," Mrs. Harris replied.
Emma nodded and got busy with something. Soon after, she carried Bailey down from upstairs, "Mrs. Harris, I'm taking Bailey out for a bit."
"Miss Emma, you..." Mrs. Harris looked at Emma worriedly, recalling how Emma always seemed eager to venture out. Although security around the villa had been tightened, Mrs. Harris still felt apprehensive.
"Don't worry, Mrs. Harris, it'll just be for a little while," Emma assured her as she and Bailey headed outside.
Bailey, happily trotting ahead, kept looking back at Emma as if afraid she would disappear suddenly.
Each time Bailey looked back, Emma met its gaze, reassuring Bailey before it joyfully set off again.
In the nearby garden, many residents, all from wealthy families, walked their prized dogs, chatting occasionally.
