"But isn't this a bit inappropriate?" Emma Hart's gaze was unsteady. Although she was in a hurry, having Matthew Taylor give her a ride seemed less than suitable.
"What's the harm in it? We're friends, after all. Plus, if you're in a rush, it's better to take my car. It's hard to get a cab at this time." Matthew Taylor said with a smile.
Emma Hart hesitated.
Matthew Taylor continued, "If we're any later, Mr. Sterling will probably be home already! My car is parked in the underground garage of the Great Hall."
"Well, I'd be grateful, Mr. Taylor," Emma Hart finally agreed. As long as she got home before Damien Sterling, everything would be fine.
With that, Emma Hart followed Matthew Taylor towards the underground garage.
Seeing Matthew Taylor's car, Emma Hart's eyes lit up. It seemed she had a good chance of beating Damien Sterling home.
