After confirming that Ryan Garcia was at Green Mountain Retreat, Damien Sterling and Emma Hart drove there.
The night was quiet, filled only with the sounds of insects and the distant murmur of the sea. They parked outside Green Mountain Retreat and walked to the entrance. The red lanterns outside were still brightly lit. Emma Hart knocked on the door, calling out loudly for Ryan Garcia.
It wasn't long before Ryan Garcia opened the door, appearing in his pajamas.
Inside, Green Mountain Retreat was pitch black and lifeless, indicating that Ryan Garcia still hadn't overcome the grief of his loss.
"Why don't you even turn on the lights?" Damien Sterling reprimanded.
"Ah… I slept all day," Ryan Garcia stretched and led them into the hall, turning on the lights. The table was cluttered with empty water bottles and takeout boxes.
