Chapter 32 - Embarking on the Journey Part 1

Eiji wondered, since Jujutsu Kaisen wasn't just an anime, what about other anime? Could they also be their own worlds?

He sought to verify it thoroughly.

Based on Lin Fan's memory, some anime characters had the ability to travel between different worlds. For instance, most dragons in Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon.

Coincidentally, the Limitless Technique's ability was to distort space at the user's will. Eiji had conducted countless experiments to develop the skill of inter-world travel.

It wasn't easy. Even with Lin Fan's memory as assistance, Eiji needed several years to accomplish it.

.....

The next day.

Gojo Family Residence.

In his room, Eiji typed a message on his phone, then pressed the send button.

He arranged for the message to reach his cousin an hour later.

"Food, water, tent, clothes..."

Eiji checked the supplies in the Storage Ring. Once confident in his preparations, he calmed his mind.

"This is the fourth time I've been to another world. Hopefully, I'll arrive in a world with a power system."

Recalling his three previous experiences in other worlds, Eiji sighed.

In fact, this wasn't his first time going to another world. He had successfully developed the Limitless Technique's ability to travel to other worlds at the age of 13.

However, he wasn't pleased with his achievement. On the contrary, he worried about the time difference ratio.

For example, if he went to a specific world and stayed there for three days, and when he returned to the Jujutsu Kaisen world, it turned out that 30 years or more had passed, Eiji would undoubtedly regret missing out on many things.

Therefore, he needed to know the time ratio in each world before exploring it with a calm mind.

Making himself the experiment subject, Eiji entered the portal and arrived in another world for the first time.

Setting the stay time for one day, he began to wander in that other world.

The first other world wasn't different from his original world, except that the entire city was filled with zombies that would bite humans and turn them into their kind!

Eiji strolled through the city as if zombies didn't exist. With Infinity, he had no need to fear infection.

Perhaps because the surviving humans were hiding in safe places, he didn't encounter any humans, so he couldn't determine the world based on any anime.

Why was Eiji so sure that the world was anime?

Simple, among the zombie hordes, there were many people with colorful hair.

Eiji knew from Lin Fan's memory that the ordinary world only had black, blonde, brown, and white hair colors.

Just when he thought he wouldn't have a chance to meet the protagonists and heroines in this world, he coincidentally encountered them on the highway as they were driving an RV.

Tendou Akira!

After seeing him, Eiji identified the anime of this world, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead!

With Akira's kind attitude, he offered Eiji a ride as he saw him walking alone on the road.

Eiji accepted him offer. He wanted to see what was special about the protagonist.

He got to know the heroine, Mikazuki Suzuka, and the protagonist's best friend, Ryuuzaki Kenichirou, or more familiarly called Kencho.

During the journey, they encountered obstacles like nails that caused Kencho to injure himself while riding a motorcycle. Next, they met a faction led by Chairman Kosugi, the former leader of Akira's work team.

Eiji knew all these misfortunes were caused by Chairman Kosugi, and Shizuka had a vague guess, but none of them said anything because the other party had many people, and in case of a conflict involving violence, they were on the losing side. Of course, for Eiji, no matter how many people the other side had, they were still as weak as babies in his eyes. However, he had no intention of intervening and watched calmly.

Then Chairman Kosugi offered Akira and her group shelter in his truck workshop, complete with food, spare tires, and other necessities.

Akira was grateful for the offer without realizing that Chairman Kosugi had hidden motives. Finally, they arrived at the truck workshop and found many other survivors.

Eiji saw Chairman Kosugi utilizing zombies to pull the truck. He had to admit that the cunning man was very innovative. Moreover, zombies didn't need food, rest, and wouldn't complain, which meant free labor.

Then Chairman Kosugi insisted that Akira and Eiji work for him for two days and used the threat of zombies to force compliance.

Unfortunately, the threat was ineffective against Eiji. He refused to be ordered and stated that he wouldn't touch anything in the place.

Not accepting the defiant attitude, Chairman Kosugi ordered his lackeys to attack him. Akira tried to stop the fight, but it was in vain.

Relying on his extraordinary physical strength and self-defense skills, Eiji easily defeated over twenty people. After that, Chairman Kosugi didn't dare to provoke him again.

In the end, Eiji spent his time with Shizuka, who was taking care of Kencho.

He talked about many things with Shizuka, such as the history and development of the world, and so on. He found not many differences between this world and his original world.

After 24 hours, at 3 am when everyone was asleep, Eiji opened the portal and returned to the Jujutsu Kaisen World without saying goodbye to anyone. Nevertheless, he realized Shizuka woke up from her sleep due to his activity and saw his ability.

Ignoring Shizuka's surprise, Eiji entered the portal.

After returning to his room, he checked the timer he had set earlier and found that 24 hours had passed since his departure.

In other words, the time synchronization ratio between the Jujutsu Kaisen World and the Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead World... was 1:1!

Of course, one sample wasn't enough for Eiji. What if it was just a coincidence, and other worlds had a significantly different time ratio?

So, he intended to experiment again.

However, he had to postpone it because his Cursed Energy was running low. Anyway, opening a portal that connects different worlds is an extraordinary thing.

Even with the Six Eyes that allowed Eiji to suppress Cursed Energy expenditure to zero, the Cursed Energy consumption to open the portal was still exceptionally high!
