Chereads / Born as Gojo Satoru Cousin / Chapter 14 - Simple Domain

Chapter 14 - Simple Domain

In the teaching building of a high school.

"Hey, am I pretty?"

The one asking the question was a tall woman with long, messy black hair that reached her shoulders. Most of her face was covered by her hair, but a few eyes peeked through the strands, and her face was also wrapped in bandages.

Anyone living in Japan would instantly recognize the woman's identity.

Kuchisake-onna (Slit-Mouthed Woman)!

Currently, Eiji was in the Simple Domain of Kuchisake-onna.

In the Simple Domain, users could trap their opponents and establish a set of rules that both parties must follow.

For Kuchisake-onna's Simple Domain, it enforced a Binding Vow that prohibited violence between her and the target until her question was answered.

(Kuchisake-onna should have been killed by Toji a few years ago. The only logical explanation is that Kuchisake-onna is an Imaginary Revenge Cursed Spirit, so as long as humans still believe in the urban legend of Kuchisake-onna, its existence will reappear even after being exterminated)

Eiji analyzed the situation quickly like a supercomputer.

He found that he couldn't attack Kuchisake-onna before answering her question.

(Even individuals like Kenjaku and Sukuna can't violate the Binding Vow. At most, they find loopholes in the clauses of the Binding Vow)

Eiji gave up trying to use violence in Kuchisake-onna's Simple Domain.

The Binding Vow is something used by Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Spirits. This method is used as a condition of exchange to gain greater power or fair and favorable conditions. Therefore, anyone who violates it will usually be bound by their own Vow.

"No. You're too ugly. You're not my type," Eiji answered nonchalantly.

Instantly, dozens of giant scissors surrounded Eiji, attempting to tear him to pieces. However, all the scissors stopped in mid-air and couldn't get close to him.

Eiji took one of the scissors and threw it towards Kuchisake-onna.

*Whoosh*

The scissor produced a sonic boom as it flew through the air.

Kuchisake-onna's head was cut off by her own scissor. With her death, the Simple Domain disappeared.

"Mission accomplished."

Eiji turned to leave.

Walking through the quiet corridor, he deliberately slowed down his pace.

He observed the school environment with curiosity.

Due to the presence of Grade 1 Cursed Spirits that posed a threat to life, there was no one else in the school area except for Eiji. Both students, teachers, and staff were on leave until this issue was resolved.

Eiji stopped in one of the classrooms and entered.

"So, this is the classroom where students study."

Seeing empty desks and chairs, his gaze focused on one chair, and he headed there.

"Oh, is this the protagonist's seat... Nothing special."

Sitting in the back row near the window facing the sports field, Eiji stood up after feeling nothing.

For studies, he was taught by a tutor. He didn't know what it was like to attend school like a normal person.

"Forget it, a normal life is impossible for me."

Standing up from the chair, Eiji walked out of the classroom and left.

Leaving the teaching building, he saw Ijichi waiting for him in front of the gate.

"Kamiki-san, did you encounter any problems?"

Previously, Eiji exterminated a Special Grade Cursed Spirit in less than 5 minutes, and in less than 1 minute, he exterminated two Grade 1 Cursed Spirits. Now, he had been in the teaching building for more than 10 minutes.

Ijichi thought something had happened. For example, there might be an error in ranking the Cursed Spirits. Moreover, there have been some cases like that.

"No, everything went smoothly. I just took a short walk."

"Is that so? Thank goodness there's no mistake."

"Ijichi-san, how much is the salary for Jujutsu Sorcerers?"

"Eh?"

Ijichi was surprised to hear that question.

As a main member of the Gojo Family, was Eiji short of money?

Suppressing his curiosity, he explained to Eiji.

"The salary for Jujutsu Sorcerers in Japan varies depending on their rank. The higher the rank of a Jujutsu Sorcerer, the higher their salary."

"Grade 4 is paid ¥300,000, Grade 3 is paid ¥1,000,000, Grade 2 is paid ¥2,000,000, Grade 1 is paid ¥3,500,000, and Special Grade is paid ¥10,000,000."

[Author's Note: This is just my composition as I couldn't find the data]

"Oh, quite a lot?"

Eiji was slightly surprised to hear the amounts of Jujutsu Sorcerers' salaries. Moreover, the pay difference between Grade 1 and Special Grade was quite noticeable.

"There's always a shortage of people in this industry, and it's also a dangerous job. The mortality rate of Jujutsu Sorcerers is always high every year, so it's reasonable for the pay to be high."

(Not everyone is a monster like you and Gojo-san)

For the last sentence, Ijichi didn't dare to say it.

"Makes sense." Akira nodded, then asked again, "How is the payment method? Every month or every time a mission is completed?"

"The payment I mentioned earlier will be paid every month to the active Jujutsu Sorcerer's account who completes missions. Sometimes, there are special missions that have their own payment as a reward." Ijichi answered.

"Um."

After understanding this, Eiji stopped asking.

Seeing him still standing in place without intending to get into the car, Ijichi couldn't help but ask, "Kamiki-san?"

"What?"

"Uh... Let me drive you home."

"I refuse."

Eiji had long awaited to see the outside world. How could he go home so soon?

"But if something happens to you—"

"Ijichi-san, how many people in Japan do you think can do something to me?"

"That..."

The arrogant statement made Ijichi unable to deny.

Based on Eiji's appearance today, it can already be confirmed that he will receive a Special Grade ranking.

Besides other Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers, Ijichi didn't know who could harm Eiji. Moreover, the famous Limitless Technique was nearly impenetrable.

"Well, I'll inform Gojo-san about this."

"Um, I'm bothering you. Goodbye."

Ijichi watched Eiji turn away.

"Sigh. Whether it's Gojo-san or Kamiki-san, both of them are troublesome kids. Maybe it's a characteristic of strong individuals?"

Ijichi sighed tiredly, shook his head, got into the car, and started driving.

As a manager, he was very busy. Before that, he had to send the recording of Eiji's fight to the higher-ups in Jujutsu.

....

Among the crowd of pedestrians, there was a young man with white hair and striking blue eyes compared to other men.

His handsomeness successfully captivated the women who saw him.

Single girls, housewives, widows, women dating other women— even lesbians couldn't resist Eiji's charm.

Wherever Eiji walked, women would turn their heads towards him.

Anyway, he didn't wear sunglasses to hide his Six Eyes like his cousin, so others could clearly see his handsome face.

"Before, I could only watch from afar, now I'm here. Freedom is the best."

Ignoring the gazes of women around him, Eiji felt comfortable in the midst of the crowd.

Although he felt joyful and happy, for some reason, he didn't express it through his facial expressions, giving the impression that he was a man who was cold and indifferent to everything.

"I've always wanted to try ramen."

Opening the map app on his phone, Eiji searched for the nearest ramen shop. Then he followed the directions provided by the app.
