December 24, 2017.
5 p.m.
Standing on the rooftop of an office building, with hands in pockets and sucking on a lollipop, Eiji gazed at Tokyo, now deserted like a ghost town.
The Jujutsu Headquarters responded seriously to Geto Suguru's declaration of war.
Using earthquake disaster warnings, the Japanese government issued evacuation advisories in Tokyo, Shinjuku, and Kyoto.
Except for the Jujutsu Sorcerers scattered in the three cities, no civilian was in sight.
"Have I overestimated Suguru-san? I am clearly a variable that needs to be eliminated, but nothing happens. This is strange..."
Looking down, Eiji saw Principal Yaga giving instructions to the Jujutsu Sorcerers.
"When Satoru Nii-san realizes Suguru-san's true intentions, he will surely ask for help from the school, when that happens, should I refuse or agree?"
Compared to Satoru teleporting Toge, Maki, and Panda to the school to support Yuta, which takes time, Eiji is the most efficient option.
*DING*
The sound of his phone interrupted his reverie. Eiji took the phone from his pocket and saw a message from an unknown number.
"A photo?"
For some reason, a bad feeling suddenly filled his heart.
Clicking on the photo, his intuition proved right.
Seeing the photo, his pupils contracted, and a hint of anger surged in his heart. Nevertheless, his expression remained calm, with no visible emotional fluctuation.
"So that's it. This is indeed a good plan to keep me uninvolved. I didn't expect Suguru-san to resort to dirty tricks to lure me away."
Just based on the photo sent by the unknown number, Eiji understood the ins and outs of Suguru's plan to lure him away. Moreover, this is not a complicated plan; instead, it is very simple.
The photo showed Onodera Kosaki and Onodera Haru, with their hands and feet tied, and their mouths taped shut. Fearful and anxious expressions were clearly visible on their faces.
The two girls were kidnapped!
"Hello, Kamiki-kun, what's up?"
As soon as Eiji called, a MILF's voice came from the phone's speaker.
"Nanako-san, have Kosaki-san and Haru come home from school?"
"Hm? Why do you suddenly ask this? Do you need something from them? Why not call them directly?"
Unaware of the urgency of the situation, Nanako could still tease.
"Their phones can't be reached."
"Oh, they might be busy and didn't have time to check their phones. Haru recently joined the Tennis Club and practices until late. Kosaki is attending tutoring sessions to prepare for university entrance exams; maybe her phone is turned off."
"So that's it. In that case, I'll call them again later. Good night, Nanako-san."
"Good night, Kamiki-kun."
Ending the call, Eiji was sure that the Onodera Family's older sister and younger sister were truly kidnapped.
*DING*
As Eiji pondered a solution to this problem, another message from the same number with a photo appeared.
"Hm? Map coordinates?"
Clicking on the message, the application directed to maps and showed a route.
"New Delhi, India, huh..."
Although there was no context in the message, Eiji knew the sender's intention.
Kosaki and Haru are imprisoned in New Delhi, and he must go there if he wants to save them.
"No other choice."
Without considering his options, he firmly chose to save the two girls rather than participate in Hyakki Yakou.
Whether he is present or not, the outcome has already been determined. Unless there is an irregular like himself, there will be no change in the plot.
"I hope I can return in time to crush Suguru's body."
After muttering, Eiji stepped forward, and his figure fell from the skyscraper.
When he was only a few meters from the ground, his falling speed slowed as if he were free from gravity, and he landed as light as a feather.
Eiji's landing caught the attention of the surrounding Jujutsu Sorcerers. Not all of them could jump from skyscrapers safely; although not dead, at least they would be severely injured.
Although Kamiki Eiji's name as the youngest Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer was known among the Jujutsu Sorcerers, not everyone had seen him directly.
"Kamiki, you—"
"I'm sorry, Principal. It seems I can't participate in this event."
Interrupting him, Eiji was straightforward.
"What's your reason?" Principal Yaga asked, furrowing his brow.
"I have to go to New Delhi now."
"What? What are you thinking at this crucial moment! The sun will set soon, and Hyakki Yakou will start soon. You can't leave!"
"Well, my two friends were kidnapped and placed in New Delhi. If I don't go, I'm afraid the kidnappers will do something to them."
Then, Eiji explained Suguru's threat to him.
"Damn it! Geto, you've fallen so low! I don't remember ever teaching you to use such despicable methods."
After hearing it, Principal Yaga cursed angrily.
"Go. Gojo is here, and in Kyoto, there's Tsukumo who happened to stop by to meet her student. Hyakki Yakou will not cause a major disaster."
"Thank you, Principal."
Eiji didn't expect Principal Yaga to allow his selfish actions.
"Never mind. Go quickly, don't let your two friends wait long."
Knowing that the two girls were just ordinary people, Principal Yaga urged him to hurry.
"Um."
Turning around, Eiji teleported to Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
Beforehand, he had checked travel applications. Currently, there was only one flight to New Delhi left today.
When he wanted to buy a ticket at the counter, the staff told him that ticket sales had closed because the plane would take off in 30 minutes.
Regarding this matter, Eiji did not give up easily. He searched for passengers with flight tickets to New Delhi in the terminal. After a while of searching and negotiating, he bought a ticket from a young man who wanted to go on vacation, with enough compensation that the other party couldn't refuse.
Waiting for 30 minutes, finally, the flight to New Delhi was about to depart.
Sitting in the economy class cabin, Eiji leaned his face against the window and looked out.
"Too bad, I didn't get to bid farewell to Suguru-san."
As the plane began to leave the airport, Eiji couldn't help but reminisce about the beautiful past with Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru.
