Chapter 2: Lost in the Woods
Alex, still in shock from the teleportation ordeal, finds himself in a dang forest. Trees everywhere. Like, big trees.
Alex: "So, this is the 'enchanted' forest? More like 'I have no idea where I am' forest."
Elara, the elf chick, floats over like it's no big deal.
Elara: "Hey there, chosen one. Welcome to our green wonderland."
Alex: "Chosen one? I chose to read a weird spell in a dusty book. Does that count?"
They start walking, and Elara spills the magical beans.
Elara: "You're the hero the prophecy talked about. The realm's in trouble, and you're the solution."
Alex: "Great. I was just trying to escape Monday meetings, not save worlds."
Later, they come across a bunch of talking animals. Yes, talking animals.
Alex: "Am I in Narnia now? Does Aslan make a cameo?"
Elara laughs. "Nope, just our chatty woodland pals. They're cool."
They finally reach the elf village, and Alex realizes he's in way over his head.
Alex: "I'm just a regular guy. Can't we find a hero who's, I don't know, more heroic?"
Elara: "You've got something special, Alex. Let's roll with it."
And so, off they go, navigating through the enchanted forest. Alex mutters under his breath about wanting a GPS and a cheeseburger, but deep down, he knows there's no going back.
