The Gala had come to an end so the hallways of the main hotel were a bit crowded. Venessa's hand was hooked with Jayden's arm as they made their way to their room.
She stole glances of Jayden's face which had turned stoic immediately they got into the public. He truly seemed like someone completely different from when he was just with her.
Jayden stopped his confused Venessa. He pulled his arm from her hold, making her clamp her hands together, scared he didn't like her touch or was uncomfortable because she had not given him an answer earlier.
Jayden eyes were locked on her, which made her more uncomfortable and confused about what was going through his head.
Jayden pulled off her jacket and wrapped it on her back before whispering. "You might catch a cold." She wanted to protest that she was not feeling cold, but his eyes turned sharp, not giving her a chance to refuse him.
