Esmeralda never accepted the dead baby because it was a boy while Esmeralda claimed she gave birth to a girl but everyone thought she was crazy because all the scan results before she gave birth indicated her child was a boy.
Later even Esmeralda started doubting herself thinking she was delusional because of her post maternal trauma. Last year all of a sudden she demanded to get her dead baby's remains because she felt that her child was still out there and the dead baby was not hers. To satisfy her ego, the remains were released to her and a DNA test was run.
The results came out proving Esmeralda's claims, there was a zero percent match in DNA which would not be possible if she was the biological mother. This led to a series of investigations that revealed that a couple's baby went missing during the same period of Esmeralda's face birth in the hospital but the couple did not bother to sue the hospital for their carelessness.
