Venessa's eyes popped out at Sinclair's sudden action. Before she could complain about how close he was, Sinclair spoke, "How sure are you I am not spoiled or proud like the rest of them. Who knows, I might be like this just around you."
Venessa's stomach fluttered upon hearing her voice. She found it peculiar that Sinclair was remarkably charming at the moment. "Are you implying that you've never been rude to anyone in our class before?"
"How can you be certain I'm not concealing my true nature from you? I might be a devil masquerading as an angel, Vee. What do you think?" He whispered near her ears, a teasing smirk playing on his lips as he gazed at her. Venessa felt his breath on her earlobes, sending shivers down her spine. She couldn't help but wonder why Sinclair was teasing her so much today.
