"Babe," Cynthia repeated, a bit taken aback. Kaycee pulled his hand away from the brunette's hold. "Cynthia it is not what you think." He said, trying to reach out to his fiancee, who evaded his touch.
"It is exactly what it is, Kaycee, and I am not even shocked. Men will always be men, and you don't owe me anything. We are just engaged in names with no feelings involved." Cynthia laughed off, brushing it away like it didn't matter at all, but you could see from her eyes that was not the case. Even though she and Kaycee were not emotionally involved he should have at least honoured the engagement he wanted so badly.
It just reminded her of how Thomas, whom she was ready to give up everything for, also cheated on her. "Cynthia, please don't talk like that; you are scaring me." Kaycee looked sad like he was a victim and everything was just a misunderstanding, but Cynthia didn't want to hear a word more of it.
