Venessa and Jayden had lunch together in an eatery in the mall. It came to Jayden's notice Venessa was distracted throughout. She refused to say anything about what happened in the restroom or why her hair was slightly damp.
She kept on playing with her food while staring at her plate. A tired sigh escaped Jayden's mouth. He wanted to know exactly what Petra had said to her but he could not force her to talk if she didn't.
Venessa moved her gaze from the plate to glance at Jayden. She was immediately caught by his clear hazel eyes which were a perfect blend of gold, green and brown. His eyes were so beautiful that at times she stared at them she was spellbound by them.
"Is there something bothering you?" Jayden's calm voice brought her from the trance-like state she was in. She quickly averted her eyes embarrassed she was caught staring brazenly at him.
