[Celia's POV]
Lucian was already worried when she returned. She came to know from a very annoyed Mrs. Gibson that he had gone out in search of her when she failed to turn up after a certain amount of time.
"Worrying him like that. You are something," the older woman said in a disapproving tone. She wasn't able to refute that. She was not at fault, but if she told her the truth, the older woman would be even more furious.
Celia's worries had skyrocketed when she thought of the things she was about to tell him. She paced in her room anxiously as she waited for him to return. How could she break the heart of such a nice man who cared for her, liked her, and was kind to her? She shouldn't be going to live in that castle and marry that heartless and arrogant man who never seemed to talk to her gently.
