Chapter 16 - Fodre and Vulcan

The very next day after Aindri had left the room with Caspian, Fodre and Vulcan stayed in the guest room until they were rested enough to leave. As soon as the morning comes the maids come and wake Fodre. "Can't believe we have to wake him up today, just yesterday it felt like he could kill us if he wanted to."(Main Maid) "We got no choice, Caspian told us to send them away as soon as they rested up for the night."(Maid) One of the maids go towards Fodre's bed and just before she touches him to attempt and wake him up. "Don't touch me,I am awake."(Fodre) "Oh sorry, I didn't notice. Umm Caspian told us to let you guys know that your ride back home will be arriving shortly. "Right…"(Fodre) Fodre stands up from his bed, he glances at the door again but nonetheless closes his eyes and looks towards Vulcan. "Is he okay?"(Fodre) "We gave him the best treatment our house could offer, he might just be a heavy sleepe."(Main Maid) Fodre stands up from the bed and walks towards Vulcan's bed. "Hey, wake up."(Fodre) As he says that he continues to move Vulcan body gently back and forth. Until Vulcan finally opens his eyes. "Good morning princess, did you sleep well?"(Fodre) "What…what happened?"(Vulcan) "A lot, but what you need to know right now is that we have to take a carriage back home."(Fodre) "What? We aren't back home? And what about Aindri, I don't see him around."(Vulcan) "He said he would meet us back home…so let's go."(Fodre) Vulcan notices that Fodre's have eye bags beneath them, like he couldn't sleep or has been crying all night. "Hey…is everything alright?"(Vulcan) "I told you, let's go."(Fodre) With a deeper tone then usual Fodre walks away into the bathroom to clean and and change clothes for the road home. "Did something happen while I was asleep? He's usually sad and all but it seems like today is different then normal."(Vulcan) He asks the maids, but they chocked on their own word's, unable to tell him the truth. "We don't know anything, I assume whatever happened, happened without us being present."(Main Maid) "Oh okay. Where are we by the way?"(Vulcan) "You're in one of the Noble families home. The Harold Family, and our Lord Caspian rescued you from an attack. He told us to heal you guy's and send you home the next day."(Main Maid) "I see, so we all got beat up and ended up being rescued."(Vulcan) Vulcan made a serious face and clenched his fists. "Why isn't Aindri here? Where is he actually? Did something happen to him?"(Vulcan) The maids who were doing their best to not say anything were shaken up by his questioning and strong look, almost making them actually tell him the truth. "Vulcan."(Fodre) A cold voice came from the outside of the bathroom, where Fodre stood. This time he had a cold look on his face, signaling to the maids not to say anything and to Vulcan to stop asking. "What?"(Vulcan) But Vulcan wasn't gonna stop so easily, he could tell they were keeping something from him, and most likely it was about Aindri. "Don't make me repeat myself again. Stop asking questions and clean up so we can go home."(Fodre) "Home? Home, you say. Why aren't you including Aindri in your words. And why do you not want them telling me anything. I need to know what really happened, I won't leave until you tell me."(Vulcan) He stands up and a feint fiery aura can be seen in his eyes, he will no longer back down. Even if it came down to a fight. "Very well."(Fodre) Once Fodre finished his sentence he sent a spike towards Vulcan, not the normal grey color as before but a red spike, covered in smaller spikes and black roses. Vulcan was barely able to evade it and ultimately bled a little from the attack. "You're serious aren't you."(Vulcan) "If you won't listen then I will make you listen, also I was holding back. I know you could tell."(Fodre) Vulcan acknowledges that fact, but asks again. "Where is Aindri?"(Vulcan) After a few seconds of silence Fodre was the first to speak again. "He's dead, they weren't able to save him in time. I didn't want you to know because I know how much it would've hurt you, so I tried to protect you from the truth."(Fodre) A bold lie, nonetheless Vulcan believed it. "What?!? No!No!No! Why would you wanna keep something like that from me? I am his friend, I deserved to know."(Vulcan) "He didn't want me to tell you so you could stay happy for as long as you could, he knew his death would sadden you."(Fodre) Vulcan let's out a deep sigh but ultimately closes his eyes and takes everything in. "You're right, we should go home and mourn about this later. We need to find those two that killed Aindri and end them. Then his soul can finally be at rest."(Vulcan) "Yes, that's right. Let's find them first."(Fodre) Vulcan and Fodre walk out the door, accompanied by the Maids and reach their destination. Outside there is a carriage with an old butlet in the front seat, and two horses. "Well, this is it. Hope you have a safe trip."(Main Maid) "Thank you very much, here's a rose for your generosity."(Fodre) Fodre creates a rose from his hand and hands it out to the Main Maid, she accepts it blushingly. "Maybe I thought wrong of you, you're actually really nice."(Main Maid) "I'm sorry for coming out like that, I was just stressed."(Fodre) As soon as he apologizes he walks towards the carriage with Vulcan beside him. "Alright, let's go bro."(Vulcan) "Yeah."(Fodre) Fodre and Vulcan continue to walk towards the carriage and once they close the door Fodre makes a quick glance back. He sees the maids waving them away with a gentle smile. "Are you gentleman ready?"(Butler) "Yeah, thank you."(Fodre) The butler swiftly commands the horses to move forward and they set off on the path home. "Can't believe he really gave you a rose, I wasn't expecting him to be so nice."(Maid) As the main maid goes forward to smell the rose a single spike comes forward from the center and stabs her through the head, and as the other maid begins to realize what just happened another spike came forth and stabbed her as well. Killing them both. Fodre and Vulcan talk about the mysterious people that had attacked them during their way back. "Still haven't found anything out? Don't even know why they would attack us in the first place."(Vulcan)
