I flew back to the place where they camp as fast as possible but they were already left. I didn't blame them because they must be in a hurry since the possibility of being pursued by their enemy is quite High being a leader of a country.
But still since they were on ground means they can't travel very fast so i can quickly catch up with them and helped them reach the outskirts of the forest. So with that thought i leaps into the sky .
I admit that I really underestimate the human of this world, now it's almost night but i still can't catch up to them. They didn't even came up in my detection range which is quite wide.
As I'm about to give up chasing them two people appear on my detection range and i head towards them as quick as i can. When i reach them i hide my presence as much as i can because they may be different people.
They are different people, these two are both men which wear black hood with light armour underneath. I can't really see their face because both of them gathered near the fire . As I was around 20 feet I use my magic to enhance my hearing and Start to eavesdrop their conversation.
The one on the right looks like a leader,and their conversation goes like this "..... didn't we just finish them off when we got the chances?? There's only two of them" said the one on the left. The other one said " why?? Because we can't just finish them off with just the two of us. Even though he lost his kingdom that man is used to be known as 'sword master prince' . It is said that he can finish off entire squad of knight with his own!!... There's even that woman whose name is famous for her talent in magic".
"We are only task to tail them through their way to the confederate and gives information to the elite spy and the rest will be done by them". " So that means we are only meant to observe them??? Crap what an boring task"
So they are from the empire huh.... Let's kill them before they know what is happening. I gather magic into my chest and shot a weak breath toward them ...it flew quickly towards the enemy and when it's 5 feet away from them it tore through some kind of barrier ( which I failed to detect) and hit the leader behind. He exploded into dust but the other one quickly draw his sword and looks my way and with a wide eyes he mumble " it's just a ..a baby dragon??" .
And with that he takes out something from his cloak . Not knowing what that was i ready my body just in case I have to fly. It was a vial which contains wicked energy and said just you wait and start to chugging down into his mouth, is he and idiot??? Not wanting to know what that vial will cause i quickly gather my energy and shot another breath which is slightly bigger than the previous one towards him. He had no choice but to stand still with wide eyes and wait for my breath to reach him as he is currently drinking that vial. He also explode into a dust..not even a trace of his clothes nor any remnants were to be found. This reminds me of a song I used to listen which say that all people whether they are wise ,fool,rich,poor,weak or strong they will one day return to Ash and will bow down equally to death.

Just a few metres from where the spy were eliminated stay two people, they are Leon and Larissa. Larissa was already sleeping and Leon stay awake in order to guard if some unwanted stranger appears. He feels down , he can't understand where the hell did things go wrong. Leon is a genius in sword since he's young as he is the only son he didn't have much friends except one person. He never indulge in pleasure, women,money or liquor. He always undergo training in order to become a good King one day just like his father who fend of the advance of the empire for two years and even managed to reclaim the territories they've lost to the empire during the reign of Leon grandfather. But unfortunately his father whose name is Anders face assassination by one of his guard knight who is a spy from the empire and after that he never recovered from the poison used by the assassin. Anders died a few years at 46 age. And when Leon as crown at 20 age , at first everything went well he even managed to make alliance with the confederate and even married their beloved princess. But after their marriage the one he called as friend which he think of as his brother and right hand man betrayed him out of jealousy and schemed with the empire which he found out just before they escaped from the capital was quite a huge blow to him. No we no longer wonder how they lost the frontier castle which are famous for their heavy defence quickly fell into the hands of the empire.
As he was lost in his thoughts an explosion just a few metres cause him to snap out of it and quickly rouse Larissa and pack their belongs and made their way towards the confederate as quick as they can.
