Mei Lin was unsure if this approach was the right one, but as the platform started slowly falling apart, she felt it was. As more natural energy poured into the platform, it took her another day until it started to crack, and Mei Lin could crush it with her hand.
As soon the platform in the middle of the strange face broke apart, the glowing light suddenly dimmed and odd noises from the face stopped shouting and withered in front of Mei Lin's eyes and cracked in the middle.
Mei Lin felt relieved, that this formation was only preventing her from her or anyone else getting inside and didn't attack her as soon as she broke the center of the formation. In response, the formation slowly crumbled apart.
As soon as the path was completely dark again, Mei Lin pushed the doors open with noticeable excitement. Mei Lin went inside and stopped as she saw even more horrific scenes than a skinned twisted face on the door.
Mei Lin entered a huge room as big as a main building completely covered with array formations all over the walls. Inside the room were wooden tables and cages, with demons chained. Inside the room was a special light shining like an artificial sun created by burning the spirit stones at the ceiling.
As soon as Mei Lin saw the burning spirit stones creating light, she was immediately amazed by it. 'I must find a way to do it. Then I will not need torches and other things for making light.' As Mei Lin was admiring artificial light, she slowly went to look at the book to see if there was something useful and find the way out.
As she opened a few of them, she found that each of them was a different kind of record which didn't help in the slightest. Mei Lin didn't find anything else and went straight to the cages.
As she was moving forward, the demons awakened as if they had found their prey. Mei Lin went to one of the cages and started looking at the demon. Demon couldn't speak, so she didn't get any useful information. Next to the cages were books with a brown cover and some writing on them.
As Mei Lin picked up the book and looked at what was written there she saw "Bai Fey" on the cover. Mei Lin slowly opened the book on the first page.
She found out basic information about Bai Fey. He was an outer member of the Fey family picked up into their ranks as a soldier. After falling in love with Li Fey Lianhua, her father Li Fey Zen promoted him to his guard and then sent him here. That was three years back.
As Mei Lin turned to the next page, she saw details of what kind of spirit medicine he ate and what kind of blood they fed him. The more Mei Lin read she felt that she stepped into much more trouble than just meeting the bandits.
Without further reading, she placed the book back on the table and left. Mei Lin went all around to look at the cages to find out that a few of the demons were turned from people of Fey mansion and few of them were real demons.
As soon as Mei Lin stopped inspecting the demons, her spirit sense spread through the room, and she felt overweathered. The whole place was covered with strange formations like the one on the doors, but much more complicated and with much more sophisticated and complicated than before.
Along the formation inside the room was one more strange formation in the middle of the room with five mid-grade spirit stones inside each part of the formation. Along the formations, Mei Lin also found another monument door hidden after another set of formations.
As soon as she found the doors, Mei Lin retracted her spirit sense and went to the doors. As soon as she was in front of the doors Mei Lin once again looked back and discovered that the formation was somehow like the one on the doors.
'Such a large number of formations must mean something. Shi Fey Lianhua was not even a cultivator, and they have here such formations.' Mei Lin was more and more interested in the formations, so she decided to learn more about the arrays here placed a hand on one of the symbols, and started pouring its natural energy along with spirit sense. Her natural energy was quickly depleting, so she stopped.
'Even after pouring natural energy into the formation, nothing happened. This formation must be more powerful than the one on the doors.' Mei Lin didn't waste any more natural energy or time and went to the wooden doors.

Inside the blue zone, Peng sect.
Deep inside the Wang family territory one of the six parts of the Peng sect was among the vast stretches of spiritual land stood "Verdant Emerald Peak". Towering above the endless sea of mist more than ten thousand feet tall was a standing mountain peak shrouded in ancient ruby spirit trees burning under the morning light. The waterfalls full of fire cascaded from its summit moving into the fire ponds all over radiating with rich natural energy.
Within one of the secluded pavilions, deep in peak, sat an old-looking cultivator in quiet meditation. His red robes emanated a terrifying fire aura and seemed to blend into the surroundings as if he were part of the peak itself. Around him, carved jade tablets engraved with intricate runes pulsed faintly with spiritual energy, forming a triangle formation, which was dormant.
Suddenly, as the old man's breathing deepened and his spirit energy circulated, one of the tablets began to glow with sharp, verdant light breaking the stillness. The elder's eyes flashed with excitement as he gazed toward the tablet, the natural energy around him shifting with a subtle tension.
His sleeves were more in the air and a glowing tablet flowed before him his spirit sense rushed into the tablet, and he immediately sensed Mei Lin's spirit sense from it. As soon as he felt her spirit sense, tables disappeared in his sleeves and the elder left the pavilion.
