With in the endless black void, the soul of a mortal man has once again returned. A fairly uncommon occurrence but an occurrence nonetheless.
//Sato POV//
'Cold. So cold.' I thought as a began to stir awake to a piercing cold. 'No… it… can't even be called piercing… it's… as if… there is no warmth… to begin with.'
I opened my eyes to see what changed. Wait, eyes? Looking down at my body, I found… well, my body. But it wasn't my body either, in fact the only way to describe my new form would be like staring at air in the middle of blank space. You know it's there, but you can't really see it.
I was here, but not here. I exist, but I don't. When I finally looked at my surroundings, I realized this wasn't the same void I was in before. If the one from before was a waiting room, this would be more comparable to a vacant lot.
There is nothing here. No up nor down. No left nor right. Not even space or time.
There is no heat nor cold, but my human mind is rationalizing this absence as cold. How do you even describe nothing in its truest form. Even the "me" now is nothing. And to make this experience even more strange, the 'nothing' I'm perceiving doesn't exist because nothing can't exist without 'something'.
'What the hell?!' I tried to voice. Can't speak, figures. I guess this is my new reality now. I guess I'll sleep, nope, can't do that either, the concept of sleep doesn't exist. Damn it.
'Sigh. I guess I'll just wait for the rest of eternity. Not like I have anything to look forward to anyway,' I thought with a mental sigh. 'This is frustrating.'
And with that I began to wait in this grand void of nothingness.
I waited.
And waited.
And waited some more.
And eventually made a game out of it. 'Four plus Four is eight.'
A very simple math game. 'Eight time four to the power of four is two thousand forty-eight.'
Well maybe it isn't a game and is just math, but if I think of it as a game then it's fun.
'If Sal has two thousand forty-eight bottles of shampoo and the market price of shampoo, then how much should Sal have sent excluding tax's because screw tax's.'
A very simple game that will definitely not evolve into something more complicated.
'A train travels from station A to station B. If the train leaves station A and makes 75 km/hr, it arrives at station B 48 minutes ahead of scheduled.
If it made 50 km/hr, then by the scheduled time of arrival it would still have 40 km more to go to station B.
Find the distance between the two stations, the time it takes the train to travel from A to B according to the schedule, and the speed of the train when it's on schedule.' I pondered.
'If x be the scheduled time for the trip from A to B, then the distance between A and B can be found in two ways. On one hand, this distance equals 75 (x− 48/60)km.
On the other hand, it is 50x+40 km. So I would get an equation like 75(x− 48/60) = 50x+40 which equates to x = 4 hr is the scheduled travel time.
Which makes the distance between the two stations 50⋅4+40=240 km. Meaning, Then the speed the train must maintain to be on schedule is 240/4 = 60 km/hr.' I completed. This is fun. I'm fine, this is fine.
'The square root of 906.01 is 30.1. The square root of 912.04 is 30.2.' I'm sooo bored… I wish someone would play with me. Furthermore, I don't know how long I've been here in nowhere.
I've solved every equation I could come up with, counted till infinity by every interval. I've played every game that doesn't involve a board. At this point, the only thing I can do is use math to count to infinity.
What I'm trying to get at is that I've been here for far too long without outside sources of entertainment. 'I think I might go insane if this continues.'

[START] [DECLINE]
'Although I don't think pressing big white (A/N Or black if you're a heathen who uses light mode) floating text could lead to anything good, but I'm bored and anything is better than nothing, right?'
Looking at the big bold white font on a navy blue screen which flickered in classic hologram fashion felt a little uncanny and strange. Reaching out and touching it, however, revealed a glasslike texture.
'Hmm. Should I? What am I saying, of course I should. No second guessing in boredom!' I thought as pressed start.
After I pushed the button, the panel disappeared, and I felt a shift in the void. A profound change began and there was no going back. It is an indescribable feeling, like being in the presence of an unstoppable force.
I was startled and started to panic. That is, until I saw it. The first light to grace the void, appearing, as nothing more than a small sparkle on the horizon like a lone star on a night sky.
Off in the distance, a silent white ball of light flickered. The light held its place for only a moment, bringing a profound "something" into the void of "emptiness" before, without warning, it erupts in a cataclysmic explosion. It filled the empty space in all directions in a violent spectacle similar to a supernova. And I felt it in my core, this is a true start, a new beginning, a grand birth for everything.
As the light drew closer, it began to change colors in an ever shifting display of creation. An overwhelming surge of energy envelops me, and I am swept along as space and time themselves are born. Bringing with it gases, black holes, and blazing stars filling the void, no filling space in a chaotic dance of creation.
As the seconds turn into minutes, the searing heat begins to cool just enough for basic building blocks of matter to begin a dance of their own. I watch, awestruck, amidst the rapidly expanding cosmos.
The light from this primordial fireball bathes everything in a warm, uniform glow. It's a dim, reddish light that gradually fades, leaving me floating through a vast, silent darkness. Eons pass in the blink of an eye.
The universe, now filled with vast clouds in a dark and cold expanse. Slowly, gravity begins to pull these clouds together, forming the first stars. I witness the ignition of these massive, luminous giants, their brilliant light piercing the cosmic gloom. They live fast and die young, exploding in supernovae that forge heavier elements and scatter them across the universe.
Galaxies form and merge, a grand cosmic dance that gives rise to solar systems and planets. Among them, a small, rocky world orbits a young star, and on its surface, life begins to stir.
From the initial singularity to the emergence of consciousness, I have witnessed the birth and evolution of the universe, an eternal observer to the magnificent, ever-unfolding tapestry of existence.
