........

Alaric pondered for a second, then nodded...

"Professor Dumbledore is right; I didn't consider it properly."

With another snap of his fingers, there was a "pop."

Immediately, all the pointed wizard hats of the Wizengamot members transformed into soft red Christmas hats with white furry brims.

The red hats, worn by some elderly wizards, made them look like Santa Claus.

Several wizards curiously touched the soft white pom-poms dangling by their ears, showing keen interest.

However, some were enraged and threw their Christmas hats on the ground.

Some had already risen in anger, ready to say something to Alaric. But before they could react, Alaric spoke again.

Muttering to himself, he said, "Do you never provide refreshments for visitors? Is this the hospitality of the Wizengamot?

How impolite. But I'll do things differently this time. Consider it my treat."

With another familiar snap of his fingers, in the next moment, a cup of English breakfast tea appeared in front of everyone.

Delicate teacups sat on small saucers, accompanied by a plate of exquisite pastries.

Each person's pastry was different, ranging from minced meat pies to Christmas cakes and crispy peanut brittle.

Of course, Alaric didn't forget to provide fresh milk and sugar cubes.

The wizards stared at the refreshments before them in disbelief.

They began to question if they had come to the wrong place—not a courtroom but rather some Christmas tea party.

Cornelius Fudge was almost speechless with anger. He noticed that Dumbledore had already begun enjoying the refreshments before them.

He added milk and sugar to his tea, stirred it gently, and then actually lifted the teacup to savor it, looking satisfied. He even began recommending it to the wizards around him.

Near Dumbledore, several wizards had already begun to imitate him, tasting the tea and pastries.

Some even engaged in conversation, exchanging pastries, truly creating the ambiance of a tea party.

And such people were not just one or two; nearly a quarter of the Wizengamot members, close to a hundred, began to enjoy themselves, chatting and indulging in the refreshments, completely disregarding the trial.

It was not surprising. In fact, the invasion of Dementors into Hogwarts had left most wizards discontented.

Among the members of the Wizengamot, at least a third had children attending Hogwarts.

Without Alaric's timely intervention, their children might have been seriously harmed by the Dementors. Therefore, these people were inherently indebted to Alaric.

Among the other members of the Wizengamot, many held either favorable or neutral views towards Alaric. This was due to Alaric's talent and strength.

Not to mention Alaric's academic achievements, just his Animagus and Patronus charm alone showed that, at only fourteen years old, Alaric was already a powerful wizard.

Wizards who could summon a Patronus could easily rise to high positions in the Ministry of Magic and the Wizengamot because it demonstrated their magical prowess.

In fact, this trial was indeed a conspiracy against Alaric.

Cornelius Fudge, after distancing himself from Dumbledore, began to lean towards pure-blood families.

This trial was a collaboration between him and these pure-blood families.

He needed to handle Dumbledore and establish his own authority, while the pure-blood faction hoped to change the growing dominance of Muggle-born and half-blood wizards.

Suppressing Alaric, a Muggle-born, was an effective means for them. So, they reached this agreement.

With the support of the pure-blood faction, along with a group of neutral wizards Cornelius had won over, nearly half of the Wizengamot members had already decided to stand on the side of the Ministry of Magic in this trial.

Understanding the conspiracy behind the trial, the purpose of Alaric's series of actions upon entering the courtroom became clear.

After entering the courtroom, Alaric immediately asserted his dominance.

He snapped his fingers five times and used five Transfiguration spells to transform the oppressively dark courtroom into a warm Christmas tea party scene.

This powerful display of Transfiguration and wandless magic indeed sent shivers down the spines of the Wizengamot wizards.

This was almost on par with Dumbledore and Voldemort's level of power.

But what did it mean to have power on par with Dumbledore and Voldemort?

Firstly, with Alaric's wandless magic ability, there was no chance that the Aurors could apprehend him.

Even if he willingly submitted to arrest, Azkaban couldn't hold him—Dementors would flee at the sight of him.

Those who had offended him had reason to worry; after all, this young man was indeed powerful, but not as noble as Dumbledore. He might even be very impulsive.

Those who had voted in favor of his condemnation would have reason to fear retaliation. And they were completely powerless to resist.

So, although Alaric's actions blatantly insulted the Wizengamot, it also served as a warning.
