Chapter 3 - Problems? They've barely begun |Part 3|

In the end, we didn't even order dessert, I found out that ordering the menu had just been a trap by Vivian to make me or Amy disenchanted. I rolled my eyes when she told me this.

Lucky for her that she had only mentioned it when we were already out of the restaurant, otherwise I would have embarrassed her inside and I'm sure Amy would have supported me.

-Good.. I'm going this way. - Vivian pointed to the northern part of the city. "See you two tomorrow?" - pouted.

"All right," Amy nodded. - See you tomorrow. - she blew a kiss to her friend.

- Be careful, if you need it you can call. - I said nodding. - I'll call you tomorrow.

As soon as Vivian turned her back, Amy and I went on our way, our houses were in the southern part of town, only mine was to the left and hers to the right.

Vivian, on the other hand, lived in the noble part of the city, her parents were rich and yet she had always been humble, that was what I liked most about her... The true essence of a friend.

- Goodbye time. Amy stuck out her tongue. - I'll go this way, take care. He waved and turned to the right.

"Until." I waved and gave a small smile, then turned and went on my way.

My house and Amy's were not much different: a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a suite and a bedroom. Our salaries covered the expenses, in fact, I was in need of a new job, I had been fired from the last one... So many problems in my life and now I still had to deal with my crazy transformations.I

was passing by an abandoned playground when I heard a strange noise, I cautiously followed my hearing and came across a puppy cowering under a bench. He was shaking and whimpering, he flinched even more when he saw me, I tried to reassure him, but I could feel his little heart race.-

Hey, little one. I held out my hand for him to smell it. - I won't hurt you. - he said softly.

The animal looked into my eyes and it was then that I gained his trust, slowly he stood up and walked to my arms. I picked him up and caressed him, I could almost hear him purring.

I discovered that I had just made a big mistake, but it was too late. I fell to my knees on the floor, the puppy ran scared, my vision began to change and I knew this was the beginning.

My back arched against my will, I fell on my side, I felt twinges all over my body. I wanted to scream, but that would only draw the attention of strangers who would run away as soon as they saw a girl turn into a wolf. I clenched my fists, trying to maintain my original shape, my muscles tightening as I made a huge effort to get up. I

punched the ground, frustrated, was I really going to lose control? It seemed so, instead of my hands, paws and claws appeared, I growled... Great, now it was getting wilder. I felt one last string of twinges through my body before I completely transformed.

My breathing was labored, it had always been difficult to make this change, but today it was unbearably worse. No one around, at least that in my favor, would be problematic if any human had seen this horror scene. I observed the place, the puppy was no longer there, its smell was impregnated in the rags that were once my dress... Good thing it wasn't my favorite.

As usual, I ran to Trevarch which was the safest place for a wolf, the last thing I wanted was to be hunted or seen as a threat. Soon, I

was already inside the woods, I advanced without paying attention to anything, only stopping when the smell of humans invaded my nostril. I sniffed a little and realized it was a girl and a boy, maybe a couple or just friends. I wanted to shrug my shoulders, but that's pretty weird when you're an animal.

I ignored the fact that normal people had entered the forest to make room for more of a wild feeling, I knew that the mountain was very close, my hobby was to climb it when I was little.

My hair bristled, a breeze crossed my face inviting me to adventure, I raised my head and saw the moon... Another mistake. I felt the claws press against the earth, my ears and nostril become more sensitive and my teeth sharper. I had to climb the mountain, I had to howl from up there again, I had to feel free.

Without further ado, I shot in the direction of the climb, knowing where it was easiest to climb soon I reached the top, which was not very high, but provided the best view of all. I stood right on the tip, letting the wind shake my fur, watched the moon once more before closing my eyes and howling.

It

took about half an hour for me to get back to normal, when it finally happened, I ran to the cave, I knew the way so well that I didn't need my senses to find it.

I grabbed another coat, this time a very large black one, then counted the others and realized that I still had clothes for eight more transformations. Shortly after leaving the cave, I heard a noise, it was actually giggles. I snorted, a couple in love, it could only be that.

I made my way through the woods, wanting to get out of the woods as quickly as possible, all I didn't need was to be seen that way.

As soon as I was out of Trevarch, I took a deep breath and remembered that I had left the bag at the site of my defeat. With quick but small steps, I made my way to the playground, my things and my rags of clothes still there. I

grabbed my bag and stuffed the rags in it, not that I was going to try to fix it, but someone might find that and who knows what they were going to say in the media. And the high heels, I decided to take it in my hand.

I walked slowly home, my mind didn't seem to be on my body, which was heavy. I stopped for a while and stared at the sky, several stars and a very bright moon, I gritted my teeth... I hated feeling that feeling, that happiness that possessed me after I was transformed.

I clenched my fists and put them on my chest, I couldn't understand what was happening to me. I fought so hard for this normal life and now that I needed control the most, my world had come crashing down and I no longer had my aunt to help me.

I felt a tear run down my cheek... I was sure I would start crying, but a smell very familiar to me approached. I lifted my face, wiped away my tear, and turned around, to find a familiar face of Jennifer Falter. Great, my night couldn't get any better. -

Oh my God! Jennifer was flabbergasted. "I knew you were weird, but walking in the middle of the night like that?" - he pointed at me.

Better that way than naked, I wanted to say, but I restrained myself and sighed before answering her.

"I wanted to see what it was like to go out in that coat.

She started laughing and I knew I could silence her without much effort. Jennifer might have been taller than me, but she was thin and weak, and I had my savagery to help me... Argh, I can't believe I said that!-

That's comical! - she stopped laughing little by little. "Really, I don't know what boys see in you.

yes, I'd also like to know since most of them look at me like I'm in heat constantly. I turned my back and left, leaving Jennifer talking to herself, scolding about how cowardly and rude I was for leaving her like this.I

raised my hand and showed him the middle finger, it was the nicest I could be at the moment.

I came home with my head about to burst... I thought of everything: Amy, Vivian, I-Kristine, I-wolf, Trevarch, moon, Jennifer, lost puppy, coat, my rag dress. I sat the couch and threw all my body weight back, I felt my coat open, I didn't even bother to close it, no one would see me anyway.

I stood there for a while, staring at the ceiling, wondering what might happen from now on. If things continued as they were, I would soon have no control at all... My options were to try to take back control or move away and live in a place far away from civilization.

The second option was so surreal to me that I started laughing, then I regained what little sense I had left and got up, crawled into my room and put on my cold pajamas.

Before going to bed, I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror while brushing my teeth, now even the dark blue of my eyes was more intense. I left the bathroom calmly and took the opportunity to tidy up the pile of animals that were still lying on the floor.

The last one of them all was my favorite, a beautiful saber-toothed tiger gift from Bryan, my best friend. I went to bed with the plush, put it next to me and watched it, it was so cute and meant so much to me. Bryan means a lot to me.

I closed my eyes and remembered the time when we were dating, everything was so perfect, but we had to break up... My secrets were killing me, having to lie to him about my true nature was horrible. I

opened my eyes as if I had just come out of a nightmare, I ran my hand over the tiger feeling the fake fur of the animal... I liked it so much when Aunt Ju and I would go for a walk in the woods, her fur was so nice and real. A smile welled up on my lips as I remembered the day Judely had approved me as a full wolf.

Kristine, I'm proud, you were able to learn everything pretty fast. However, you can never forget the rules I told you about, remember that they are all of equal importance.

First, do everything not to become public; Second, never bite or attack a human (except in self-defense); Third, always have a suit nearby when returning to human form; Fourth, only transform someone if it is really necessary; Fifth, never tell anything to people who aren't our species.

I don't know if it was good or bad, but I was always faithful to my aunt's rules... Even when my heart almost broke breaking when I broke up with Bryan. I imagine and hope I'm over all of that by now, at least that's what it looked like since we had returned to the status of best friends.

I was already prepared to try to stop thinking when the doorbell rang, I jumped up and went to see who it was. I didn't even have to open the door to know who was there, its smell was sweet as honey.I

opened it and greeted him with a weak smile, as he was not a fool, he realized that something was wrong and before he dared to say anything I went forward.

- I'm fine...

"Liar," he said as he pushed me inside.

He closed the door and pulled me over to the couch, we sat next to each other and then he lifted my chin and made me look into his caramel eyes. Ah, those eyes that have held me for so many years. Bryan Hall, what are you doing on my couch at this time of night?
