Chapter 12 - Night Watcher

Staring at the video once more, Aoi sighed deeply.

Unfortunately, "Nightblade" is merely a summon to imitate an imaginary person.

It can clearly be seen that she was totally controlled by Aoi alone. After killing the monster, she vanished without a trace and was never ever spotted again, being equal to a stand-in for himself.

"If 'Nightblade' actually existed, it would be ideal."

Enko made his appearance from the library exterior.

In his hand, he was holding a beautifully packaged breakfast box, which had the look of a gift from some sweetheart.

"Hey."

Enko's eyes instantly glimmered and he lifted up his hand as a way to greet Aoi.

But his speech was really soft, because any noise was strictly prohibited in the library.

Aoi turned his head and glanced at Enko without making any sound.

Enko trodded over to him and smiled, not reading a book, but holding on to his cell phone while scrolling through the video.

"Aoi, today is extremely monotonous, isn't there something in the video that might get folks excited? Ah, screw it!"

His expression swiftly altered, cold sweat dripped and he muttered under his breath:

"This, this video cannot be publicized, as to why preserve it rather than erase it...Central main street, this shall take away the recollections of an extensive amount of individuals."

As a Beyonder, Enko was distinctly familiar with the truthfulness of that video! Yet, as to why was the video left and not erased?

How was it possible?

"Huh?"

Aoi abruptly turned his head and looked over.

"What are you speaking about?"

"Nothing, I'm examining my comprehension for the examination."

Enko nodded his head and straightaway lied, showcasing a simple and near smile.

He is definitely conscious that Aoi is simply a normal person and it's best not to entangle outsiders in Beyonder's matters.

Very precarious.

Enko had never informed Aoi his true identity, because of strict regulations.

"The Magician."

This was Enko's nickname.

He was a senior Nalthis City Bureau of Enforcement member, Class 1 Night Watcher, who was also a "Metamorphosis" Rank.

"The Magician is definitely not the strongest Dark Watchman in Melthis, but he's definitely the most annoying one."

"As a strategic person, The Magician always has a backup plan."

Beyonders and others were exceptionally acquainted with Enko's presence, conscious that this individual was difficult to cope with, and his skills of problem-solving were far greater than his force.

There are quite few individuals who will voluntarily poke fun at "The Magician" Enko, so the majority of the rivals he faces are not feeble individuals.

Enko glanced at Aoi who wasn't very distant away, playing around with his cellphone. Speaking of which, the only reason Aoi were in the library was to play around with the phone.

Aoi was just a person who was rather ordinary. He understood and didn't wish to draw in classmates in dealing with things in the actual world.

That video presently was truly quite significant, directly disclosing the existence of Beyonders.

Although there were some locations where Beyonders openly existed, this wasn't the situation in Melthis.

About savage Beyonders, Night Watcher had to be kept an eye on. If an adversary showed clear criminal propensities, they required to be controlled or captured.

"From the video, it appears as if she defended a lot of innocent individuals. I hope that it's truly an ethical action."

Enko perceived that despite what, he had to first proceed to the Bureau of Enforcement.

Aoi played with his phone, totally clueless of Enko's reflections.

"I need to leave for a while, it seems like there's a misunderstanding about my relationship with a girl that's causing me to have a crisis"

Enko stood up to say goodbye, and soon departed, utilizing a lie to agitate Aoi right away.

He proceeded to the governmental construct close to Nalthis City and entered a enormous construction of an independent department.

Bureau of Enforcement.

Aether has been at odds with wickedness for ages.

The Bureau of Enforcement had founded groups in every city, Night Watcher were in charge of safeguarding Aether citizens and thwarting evil.

Numerous individuals in black and white outfits moved around the construction, appearing concerned, it was transparent that the matter was very serious.

Upon observing Enko enter, most of them would begin a conversation.

"You're here, Enko, something mighty sizable has taken place, you know?"

"Aren't you going to school to flirt with girls today?"

"Scum, no!"

Enko smiled and nodded politely, amongst the workers he was regarded as outstanding.

Very rapidly, he reached the conclusion of the workplace hallway and encountered his immediate superior.

That guy was consuming alcohol.

In a vacant office, a middle-aged man sat in a chair, holding a silver stainless steel wine jug and often sipping directly in his mouth.

"Enko, you know the wine, Whiskey, quickly, isn't the particular Vodka different?"

The suit was ashen, the hair was ashen, and the entire figure was a circle of ashen from head to toe.

He inspected the waste and mess with a touch of carelessness.

"Number One Ace," "Vampire Nemesis," "Nightmare," "The man who will never die".

Everyone referred to him like that, even though this fellow had decayed and was not as strict and severe anymore, all still profoundly admired this myth.

Lee.

This man genuinely and unquestionably rescued Melthis.

Now the hero has also declined.

He sat behind the desk, a slight odor of alcohol in his breath, somewhat intoxicated.

"Answer me a bit, do you know the contrast amongst these wines?"

"I am unaware, I have never partaken in alcohol."

Enko glared at the old man, effortlessly chirping about avoiding alcohol, but this individual was not drunk in any way, shape or form.

Lee snickered, nodded his head to express disapproval, and subsequently poured a voluminous sip of wine.

"I've been proactively abstaining from alcohol as of late. Previously, I used to consume twenty bottles per day, nevertheless presently I'm down to just ten bottles."

Enko wanted to voice it again, so he kept quiet and grursed:

"Let us still converse about the facts."

Lee casually bobbed his head and take out the laptop, then started the pivotal video.

"This video cannot be erased, some type of Enigmatical Power protects it."

"How come yall can't delete it? Is what you say correct?"

Enko considered it utterly shocking.

Lee nodded amiably, his expression gradually turned serious, took out a flask of Vodka and a flask of Whisky hidden beneath the table, and started swapping wine for the silver liquid in his gourd.

"The source of this force is very powerful and extremely mysterious. At least it's something we can't shake."

Lee altered the wine as he continued speaking:

"The Tower of Babel, need to be a mysterious contemporary institution, with a powerful God standing behind it."

"For now, we are still unaware of the details, but we can first research from here on the young lady."

Enko glanced at the girl in the dark tee brandishing a significant sword in the video, perpetually experiencing that there was a blurred sentiment of recognition, yet was unable to recollect where he had seen her before.

Suddenly, he proclaimed:

"Yes, additionally to wanting to look into the Tower of Babel, there also exists a highly important subject."

"Why did the Outer God Relatives suddenly launch an attack? Is this in connection with those two?"

Lee narrowed his eyes and kept quiet for half a day.

He calmly vocalized those two things that terrified everybody of their actuality once they heard about them.

"You mean The Pastor and Queen of the Scarlet Moon?"

"Right."

Enko inhaled deeply, prayed and stood at the summit of the two formidable people who were better not to have contact with each other at all.

"The Pastor's predicament is still unclear to me... However the Queen of the Scarlet Moon sent a letter explaining her stance 10 minutes ago, yet I haven't analyzed it yet."

Enko lifted his consciousness and gargled his spit.

"Might it be that dispatching letters to plan for conflict? Will it actually have any connection with her?"

His expression grew increasingly concerned, then he stated:

"The Blood Tribe leader is a very Powerful existence, enough to rattle the entirety of Nalthis City."

Lee grinned widely and uttered with a contemplative smile:

"Enko, you have to understand that the actual difficulty isn't these Blood Tribes, those disgusting mutants who merely possess the exterior, have been concealed inside for an extended period of time. Reveling in the delights of the world, the sole real risk so far is herself..."

"The Queen of the Scarlet Moon herself!"

Enko nodded and asserted:

"Throughout my youth and maturity, I have constantly heard about her fabled name. If I ever come across the Queen of the Scarlet Moon, I shall immediately flee with no hesitation."

Lee serenely turned his head, glanced intently at the other person's eyes, and stated:

"If you encounter her, don't imagine fleeing, but promptly crouch down on the ground and beg her forgiveness. This is the most suitable way to do it."

Too exaggerated. Enko smiled ironically and refrained from talking.

He retrieved the letter and carefully tore it open, taking out a paper with handwriting on it.

Enko swallowed his saliva and paid attention to what was written on the letter. The fresh blood in the drawing was quite mesmerizing.

"It has nothing to do with me."

Enko sighed, it appeared that such an issue had nothing to do with the Queen of the Scarlet Moon, a proud and noble existence would never lie!

Lee held the wine jug and murmured in his head: "The Tower of Babel... Who established this institution? What sort of presence is hiding in the background, and what purpose does it have?"

Enko was silent, yet he perfectly grasped that all these responses were of great significance.

—————

The leader of the mysterious Tower of Babel, the unusual Mr. Aoi, just came back home to his modest little bedroom.

He reclined on the bed, gestured with his finger on the mobile phone's screen, and adjacent to it was a container filled with chocolate cookies.

"Nightblade" had endured all sorts of abuse, no, practice, and was close to being wrecked.

Aoi throw her at "Healing Spring" in anticipation of Mood to rise again.

"Take it easy for a bit, my operator."

Uh-oh.

Game notification:

"Nightblade" enters the "Healing Spring," mood elevates once more inside.

Though it still expends 10 Source Force!

Fine.

Indeed, Aoi has made a resolution.

"In the future, I still want to continue to study the limits of Ms. 'Nightblade.'"
