Chapter 4 - Chapter Four: Revelations

The figure holding me was not the beast but Sebastian himself. Confusion engulfed me as I struggled in his grip. The beast, my fiancé ,grinned and said,

"You can't escape, I've been waiting for a long time."

His voice was chilling, sending shivers down my spine. I managed to free myself from his grasp, stumbling backward. The fear in my eyes was palpable, mirroring the terror that enveloped me.

Sebastian's demean-or changed. He no longer wore the mask of the man I thought I knew. His eyes glowed with an unnatural intensity, and his grin widened. The handsome yet terrifying figure before me radiated a twisted sense of beauty, making the fear even more surreal.

"I enjoy the hunt, Kassie,"

he explained with a sinister pleasure in his eyes.

"Your family, they knew the truth. They tried to protect you by leaving, but you couldn't escape fate. And now, you're here, with me."

I took a step back, my mind racing to make sense of the surreal situation.

"Why didn't you just kill me that night?"

I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, my heart pounding with fear. The beast laughed, a guttural sound that sent chills down my spine. The room was splattered with blood, evidence of the horrifying reality unfolding. Sebastian's eyes reflected a twisted mix of love for me and a dark pleasure in the violence he had caused.

"I wanted you to suffer, to live with the knowledge of what I am. But it seems you've forgotten, fallen in love with the illusion "

he said, the pleasure in his eyes contrasting with the fear in mine, fear welled up inside me, overshadowing any trace of anger. Sebastian desperately tried to reach me in the chaos, his handsome yet monstrous figure intimidating. His eyes held an unsettling intensity, an obsession with the thrill of taking lives

.As I fell to the floor in pain, the realization of what had just happened hit us both. Sebastian, now horrified, cradled me in his arms, the love he once had for me mixed with guilt. The beast, having inadvertently caused the demise of his unborn child. He then took me to the hospital.

He changed his form from the horrifying creature to the familiar face of Sebastian, carrying me with a tender yet conflicted care .After the hospital, we returned home, but the care he showed on the surface couldn't mask the turmoil within.

He was dying inside, haunted by the consequences of his actions, the loss of his child weighing heavily on his conscience.

The darkness in his eyes, once masked by an illusion of normalcy, was now exposed, and the beast within him struggled with the love he still had for me, creating an internal battle with himself.
