Chapter 80 - Tyran's hesitation

General yin nodded and they both turned their horses to follow him, both horses walking side by side.

He leaned sideways to whisper into the knight's ears

"A faint one I percieved as he walked past us"

"Look!"the knight motioned with his head for general yin to see the deep cut at the back of his head.

The cut partly covered by some of his hair was deep enough to expose part of his brain.

"Could anyone have survived that?..and look at those wounds, the blood isn't fresh,I am sure you can smell it"Lindau whispered back then placed a hand on his head to establish a telepathic link

"We should use telepathy now, something doesn't seem right here"

"Young knight... he's a general why are ye so surprised he lives".

"My lord...you know too well all generals could have mastered healing magic, even some Chief Knight's as well,if he is a general why has he not healed himself, his wound is still exposed,I am surprised you do not know that my lord...an..an..and I dont think anyone could have survived that".

The general considered this for a moment, raising his hand to his jaw while holding his horse reigns with the other.

"General Wang is a morph demon and the one element he can't control is fire"

The general looked thoughtful for a while, suspiciously eying the general Infront of them.

"You know him?"

"Seen him a couple of times and at the briefing, never spoken in person".

"If so...then something evil is going on around here"Gerald yin said.

"Act natural...don't let him know he has been discovered till we can decipher what is happening"Lindau suggested, his hands on the horse reigns trembling.

"Could he be_dead?"

He turned his head to face the knight beside him.

Lindau felt his skin crawl as his eyes widened.

"Dead?"

"I have heard stories of some black forbidden ancient magic that can raise the dead...Leblos..advanced Necromancy"

General yin eyed his hands before his gaze settled on the Knight's face.

"Does the dead walking frighten you?"

"No my lord...I just haven't heard of such before".

"You're a chief knight for goodness sake, get yourself together".the general scolded

"It's not him that frightens me but the one who controls him....he must be close by"

They both halted their horses, their gaze fixed on general Wang who kept walking.

"You!" General yin called out"who are you?"

The general stopped and turned to face them with diabolical grin on his face, only then did they notice his black eyes and pale skin.

Before they became suspicious of him,he looked normal and usual but something else now stood Infront of them,a living corpse.

General Wang placed a hand on his chest as the duo watched closely, observing the quantity of blood rushing from it.

"General Wang from Urah...I am leading you back to the em_"

Before he could say another word General yin reappeared Infront of him, pointing a sword at his throat, his gaze piercing

"I'll ask again and for the last time...who are you!!!"

Tyran arrived at the group south of the forest, there was still no sign of Gerald,he tried contacting Ren via telepathy but he was out of his telepathic range.

The south group led by king Zephron and parlu had captured hundreds of Savages in cages and had begun moving the cages through portals to Delvin.

The group Tyran thought with the least caualties, included the squires that had gone with them, none seemed to have died.

The Semonios all rose to their feet as Tyran appeared, bowing simultaneously to greet him.

Tyran's face had a worried look on it that alerted everyone who saw him.

Every Knight that had teleported back to the imperial field with cages was expected to return immediately for the march through the streets of Urah after they returned.

It was the normal ritual after every hunt after which an all night feast was thrown in honor of the kill.

The Emperor immediately ordered a search for Gerald dividing them into groups lead by two generals or one of the Kings.

He recalled the flame flare and beastly growl he had heard many distance away before he had arrived here.

A part of him had wanted to go check out the source of the noise but having heard the dying growls of the beast,he concluded it was dead and going there to be a waste of time right now nothing was more important than finding Gerald and he didn't have the luxury of time for that but he had sent two Chief Knights to determine the source of the flame.

For a while now,he had not heard from Gerald nor seen him, with any more time wasted he could be in more danger.

There was no way a savage could make his knight call out for help.

The Gerald he knew would even stand a chance against the Alpha or hundreds of those beasts.

The last thing he needed was an taking any of his time and he had flown southwards instead in search for Gerald, also get more people to search for him.

Tyran looked in the direction he had come from, his mind urging him to go check out the noise earlier but his body hesitated.

He concluded on going back to the knights he had asked to wait for him earlier in the west.

Gerald had probably returned and was waiting for him with the others.

With his whole heart he hoped to see him.

First he would take out his scabbard and hit him for disobeying orders then he would let him enjoy the feast by his side when they returned after which he would punish him properly the next day.

He longed so much to discipline him.

Right now he could not think straight, could not think of anything else, all he could think about was seeing his Knight again.
