Rain toppled down the streets of Urah the next day, pattering on rooftops and gradually drenching everything in it's path.
The sky was grey, pregnant with dark clouds ,the weather showing no sign of day light.
This morning had all the general's and selected knights gathered at the imperial palace field along with their horses which some had concluded they won't be needing,but orders were orders.
The Chief knights busied themselves with walking in between rows and sections formed by their knights, giving admonition and yelling out orders.
The rain didn't bother them rather their minds remained fixed at the battle at hand,the look in their eyes one of curiousity mingled with eagerness and fright.
At the far end of the field stood the only shelter occupied by Kings along with their generals who watched the drenched knights while eagerly awaiting the emperor's arrival.
Immediately Tyran appeared with his Knight under the shelter,the generals alerted the Chief knights and soon enough all eyes fell in the emperor's direction before they began marching towards the shelter.
As the emperor stepped out of the shelter accompanied by Gerald,the water elementarists among the knights formed a water film over all present in the field.
Immediately Emperor Tyran stepped into the middle of the gathering he could sense the tension lingering in the atmosphere,from where he stood he could read the expression on their faces as they awaited his orders.
He wondered how much effect his words would have on them.That was part of being a leader.
The effects of his words on his subjects was one Tyran had never ignored ever since his reign as the emperor.
He knew the damage they could do and the extent to which they could heal and what these set of demons gathered before him needed was healing,encouragement,that was what he would do.
The only manner of comfort they would be needing from him was his assurance,to see through him,his faith in this battle and that everything would turn out all good, exactly as planned.
Tyran's eyes travelled from the knights to his generals.
Apparently all generals from the six kingdoms had gathered though he could recognize only few faces.
His eyes settled on General Ren,dressed in his usual white robe who stood with the other generals in the shelter.
So far as he could see, every one except the scarlet prince was on full armour.
It was a battle rule which he always broke,infact he was certain this general had no battle armour, probably because he never had any need for it.
Tyran doubted even a stain would be found on his spotless white robe.
He turned again to the knights infront of him,cleared his throat and spoke up.
"You are all welcomed to join me in this battle today, though I'd rather not refer to it as one.Thats why it's called a hunt.... Friends why do predators hunt prey?....is it not for their survival and that is why we march today to the human world,not for war nor to cause trouble but for our own survival only today....."Tyran paused and shook his index finger as he walked from one solider to the other.
"Only today we become the predator and they.... the prey!!"
Cheers and Loud battle cries arouse from all corners of the field that it almost defended him.
As he began talking again his voice was swallowed by the noise from the crowd that he couldn't be heard.
One of the general's hot three balls of flame into the sky to silence the crowd.
The knights watched in astonishment as the flames reached the water film.
It tore through it,surging into the sky and quenching only halfway.
The open patch in the film let the water drip through,wetting the ground below it.
The elementarists quickly closed up the open patch and all the soldiers fell silent as Tyran continued.
"Knights! generals!....I must adjoure you....you have no cause for fright neither give room for it for their size and aggressiveness not withstanding,we are much stronger and smarter than they are...that again is why I would rather not call this venture a battle but a hunt.... Today_Today we march to the human realm to hunt and capture these untamed beasts"
Tyran raised a fist in the air.
"Victory for us today is inevitable!!"he yelled out Finally and again the battle cries recomenced,this time only louder as the knights raised their weapons in the air.
The general's only watched, exchanging silent nods and whispers.
Emperor Tyran nodded towards the direction of the shelter and they watched as a young black haired general dressed in a golden armour stepped out.
He reached where the Emperor stood and both Tyran and his Knight stepped back so did the soldiers Infront of him.
The general took a solid stance and stretched out both hands, letting a clenched fist hit the spread out palm of his other hand.
With his hand still streched out,he freed both the index and ring fingers of both hands,curling the remaining fingers while letting the two freed fingers meet with that of the other hand to form a diamond shape which he immediately inverted.
Finally,he slammed a clenched fist of both hands against each other,realeasing an outburst of energy.
They watched a large portal to the human world slowly form Infront of him,when it was completed,the stepped back and bowed to the emperor.
Tyan stepped in, Gerald followed and so did all present in the field.
The general closed the portal when everyone had crossed.
The portal led to the forest surrounding the great walls containing the remnants of the human race,close to the mouth of a huge cave.
Immediately,the Knights assembled with their chief knights in front along with the generals in formations and rows,each company being led by the king of that nation infront,three kings each on each side of Tyran.
They halted at the mouth of the cave immediately Tyran's horse stopped walking.
Gerald turned to Tyran
"They are not here!...but how?why_"
"However.....There is one in there"Tyran cut in and he knew exactly what it was....the Alpha who never leaves home,the only thing he hadn't mentioned about this hunt was this monster who controlled the other savages,the only one with rational thinking and powers amongst them all,whose existence was known to but a few.
The plan was to ambush the savages in the cave,that way it would be easier to take down a few hundreds at a time but it seemed it had been expecting them.
Tyran thought of going into the cave to kill it in order to prevent future tricks but that was suicide.They could be ambushed from the opening and that would only increase the number of casualties.If that was what the Alpha was planning too bad for him,it wouldnt work.
Tyran's horse took a detour around the soldiers in the other direction and the company behind him did the same.
Where ever the savages were hiding,he would find them.
