{ In 1957 - Black Manor at 12 Grimmauld Place, London }
Pure-blood by birth, Octavius Black was the miracle his parents awaited. After the birth of three daughters, Cygnus Black III no longer believed he would have a chance to have an heir for his house. He would have to use his daughters in political marriages to strengthen the House of Black and maintain it as one of the strongest pure-blood lineages in the British wizarding community.
Transforming the young wizard into a worthy heir was the only thought that passed through his mind. "Finally, an heir, my love. Thank you for not giving up," Cygnus said to his wife Druella, who was lying in bed after childbirth. Even being a cold man, this moment, when he finally held his heir in his arms, shook his heart.
Druella, still weakened, smiled at the joy her husband was expressing. "All for you, my love," she said weakly.
"Monster!" Cygnus yelled, calling the house-elf of the mansion.
With a popping sound, the deformed-faced house-elf appeared beside the Lord of the House of Black. "What does Master command Monster to do? The Lord of the noblest House, Mr. Black."
"Ensure that everything is arranged so that Druella and the child have a peaceful rest," he commanded the servant.
Monster nodded in agreement with the order given to him.
Returning the child to the mother's arms, Cygnus left the room heading to his office, contemplating the decisions he would have to make ahead.
There was an unspoken rivalry between him and his brother Orion Black for the hegemony of which of their children would inherit the position of Head of the House of Black.
For years, his wife had only given birth to women for the Black family – their daughters Bellatrix, Andromeda, and Narcissa. It was possible that in some time his brother could have a male heir and be at an advantage.
But everything changed now with the birth of his son Octavius.

This magical world was created by the being named Death, who reigned over control of all events. However, the birth of an heir for the House of Black was not yet decreed in its plans, so how it emerged was the question.
Even though this world was under its control, other distant entities in the vast sea of stars tried to influence the events in its realm.
And Death felt a slight magical disturbance, one she knew the origin of, invading her domain. However, as it could generate satisfying entertainment in her world, she didn't mind.
Since the relics she had given to the brothers were not generating enough conflict to alleviate her boredom.

{ Hogwarts - 1968 in the Great Hall for the Sorting Ceremony }
The Great Hall of Hogwarts was bustling with excitement, for today was September 1st, and as in all previous years, new wizards were eagerly waiting to have their names called by Professor Minerva McGonagall.
Among the new students waiting in line, one stood out from the rest. Octavius Black exuded a noble aura that was hard to ignore and set him apart from the other young wizards. With short hair as black as the darkest night and bright blue eyes that could captivate anyone.
Octavius stood in line, waiting for his name to be called by Professor McGonagall, a stern-looking woman with a serious demeanor but with a well-proportioned body and curves that accentuated her beauty, even though she was covered by the thick robe she wore.
Raised on the teachings of his father, the mentality of pure-blood superiority was always on his mind, leaving no doubt about the choice the Sorting Hat would have for him regarding the Hogwarts houses. As the first names were called, he glanced at the Slytherin table, where he found his sisters.
Bellatrix was a beautiful witch with black hair and a severe face, revealing her smile only to her younger brother, whom she had cherished since his birth. She was already in her final year at Hogwarts, a recognized witch in Slytherin House, of which she was very proud.
Andromeda had the warmest face of all. Even away from their parents, since she loathed the teachings of Black Manor, she looked with pride at her younger brother. She was in her fifth year at Hogwarts and showed as much potential as Bellatrix.
Finally, he spotted Narcissa, with her long blond hair, always the most spoiled of the sisters by their parents, carrying an air of arrogance at all times. As the youngest of the sisters, Narcissa was a third-year at Hogwarts and excelled in Transfiguration classes.
When his name was called, Octavius snapped out of his thoughts.
"Black, Octavius!" his name was called by Minerva McGonagall, the beautiful red-haired professor.
He made his way to the seat where the Sorting Hat was located and sat down as the professor placed the hat on his head.
"Hmm... very interesting... indeed..." the hat murmured. "Another Black wizard, but your pride in the lineage you possess is the greatest I've seen among all the Blacks I've sorted," it commented.
"I am the future of the House of Black," Octavius calmly spoke to the hat, and the pride in his voice was evident.
"The future indeed... then like all the previous Blacks... you will be placed in... SLYTHERIN," the hat announced for everyone in the hall to hear.
At the Slytherin table, applause was heard as he made his way to sit. All his sisters, despite their different personalities, smiled together with the arrival of their younger brother at Hogwarts.
