"Put on your seatbelt, would you?" He commanded without bothering to look at Flower's face or even checking properly if Flower had already buckled up her seatbelt. Perhaps he had took a guess or he saw this when Flower wasn't looking.
This was when Flower noticed that, truly, she hadn't make use of her seatbelt. 'Must I always forgot?!' Flower scolded herself, almost facepalming herself.
Back in Florida too whenever she was in Julius's car, she would always forget to activate the seatbelt. This was an habit that she had concurrently tried her best to change, despite that, she couldn't.
Thus, meticulously, Flower accurately did as she had been told. Since it was for her own good afterall and hopefully an accident wouldn't eventuate.
When Flower was done with the seatbelt, she assumed a relaxing position on the car seat and closed her eyes.
'Huh…?!'
Instantly! Her eyes flung themselves widely opened. She was presently perceiving some sounds which she wasn't expecting. Then with a scrupulous gaze, she peeked at what was making those unexpected sounds.
Later on, Flower saw that it was the car speaker that was making those unexpected sounds. She calmed down and then she ignored it.
Out of the bloom! Anthony spoke;
"What types of music genre do you love to listen to?" Anthony asked in a cool and casually tone whilst revolving the car's steering wheel.
Flower at first thought that she didn't hear him clearly, but after a minute of replaying what Anthony just stated, in her mind. She could unyieldingly understand that she had truly heard it right and that Anthony was talking to her and was trying to manipulate a conversation between both of them.
Flower didn't want to reply at first, but then she felt as though Anthony had known too much about her already. But then again, how would she also know more about him if she doesn't start up a conversation. This was all what Flower was thinking about.
Then soon enough, Flower thought about what type of music genre she prefers the most. Afterwards, she gave an honest reply;
"Soul music."
A slight smile appeared on Anthony's face.
"Soul music, eh?" He repeated. Accurately looking towards the speaker, he stretched his arm towards it and switched the music genre to soul music.
As soon as that was done, a solemnize song began to play softly. Sending its thrills into their ears. Forcing them to surrender their attention to it.
'I know this song. It sounds so much more catchy with a proper speaker.'
Flower thought and listened to the song attentively. She connected her mind with the song to the extent that she didn't even knew when she began humming the song as it was being played.
Anthony took a peek at Flower. Then he noticed that Flower was humming the sounds of the song being played. Turning away from Flower, he focused on where he was driving to. Then he spoke;
"Sounds good. I'm speculating you know the song already. Mind telling me the title and the name of the musicians?"
This was when Flower realized that she had been humming the song unknowingly all along. She hastened quietness and kept her mouth shut.
"The title of the song is 'passion'," Flower said. "A band named TZN sang it last year. One of them died about six months ago, and since then they haven't released any music. Hopefully, they would heal from it soon."
"Of course healing will come. It might be slow, but surely it will," Anthony said.
Somehow, Flower couldn't help but feel as though those words that Anthony just uttered were meant for her and not the TZN musical band. She knew that Anthony was also an human being with emotions eventhough he was a werewolf. Thus, perhaps this was his own way of showing his condolences towards Flower. Although his words were pervaded with coldness, even so, it sounded acceptable, since he doesn't seem like someone who often shows that side of himself occasionally.
With a trivial saddened voice, Flower replied;
"Yes it will."
The atmosphere in the room became quiet, with both sides not uttering anything out of their mouths. It was so silent in there that even sounds of pin drop could be heard. Only the faint sound of the resonating car could be perceived.
Everything remained silent, until Flower decided to speak. Causing destruction to the awkward silence that had once assumed a boastful position over them.
"What sort of music genre do you like listening to?" Flower asked.
Shortly after that question and without giving it a piercing thought, Anthony perpetuate an authentic reply;
"Reggae fusion."
He continued. "Originally, listening to reggae fusion is my second favorite thing to do, other than…" Anthony couldn't finish his debate due to Flower's unwelcomed interruption.
"Drawing?!" She exclaimed. Widening her eyes. She took a sly peek at Anthony so as to witness his expression to her words. However, as always, the werewolf had a cunning, sinister smirk on his charming young face.
Looking away from him immediately before he caught her staring at him again. Flower awaited an answer, it's not like he owed her one, but if he was willing to answer then it isn't a bad idea too.
"You got that right baby girl," Anthony said. "It's good that you're starting to know more about me. This is very important because, with this, you would be able to satisfy and understand my needs and wants in the nearest future."
Flower couldn't get over the name that Anthony just gave to her. 'The hell! Did he just call me 'baby girl'?'
Flower couldn't help but want to laugh about what he just called her. However, at the realization of Anthony's last sentence, Flower couldn't let out that laugh that she had intended on letting out.
'Needs and wants my foot! To hell with them. I would rather commit suicide than to have to remain obedient to you throughout my whole lifetime,' she thought with a flat lips and a scorned facial expression. 'He must think he has every right over my life. Not for long Mr Werewolf! As soon as I make sure Amanda and Julius were buried properly, then I'll try to escape. Hopefully I'll be successful, and sadly if I'm not successful in doing so then, there's always a backup plan… suicide I guess. At least that would be better than living as a prisoner.'
Flower took a deep breath and turned towards the car window which was already covered with frost. She could barely see anything through it. Even so, she still continued staring through it, at least it was better than having to stare at Anthony's face while he's driving.
Flower had already manifested a deep hatred towards Alaska. She hated it to the core. No one could blame her for doing so. Indeed Alaska had caused her nothing but calamity upon calamity and heartbreak upon heartbreak. She had lost both her fiancee and her little sister who was also her best friend, her gist buddy and her partner in crime. Thus, even hating Alaska was an understatement for her. She had deep resentment towards the state.
…
Flower yawned lazily. "Is it still so farther away?" She asked, since they had been driving for almost up to an hour now. The car seat was aching her butt as she wasn't comfortable with sitting in one place for so long.
All of a sudden, Anthony stepped on the break. Causing a sudden stop. Flower was a little bit startled by his actions.
'Goodness gracious! I hope I didn't get him angry by saying those words,' she trembled slightly.
Quickly catching a glimpse of Anthony's face. She saw that his smirk had disappeared already and his face now looked serious.
"We are there already. If you had just been patient for about two more seconds then you wouldn't have had to bother about asking me that," he stated. "Follow me. We would tread the rest of the way."
Like a young and innocent duckling, Flower nodded to Anthony's words. Entirely respited that Anthony wasn't actually aggravated by her rude words as she had thought.
"Phew! Thank goodness he's not angry," she heaved a voluminous sigh.
Flower attempted to get up from where she was sitting, since Anthony had clearly stated that they would be ambulating the remaining journey. And anyways, Flower wasn't going to wait for Anthony to get the door for her this time, she also had arms and limbs too, therefore, she could walk and get the door for herself.
Unfortunately, Flower couldn't get up from where she was sitting. She was pulled back with fortified force of the seatbelt which she had forgotten to take off.
"Ah!" She whimpered.
This made Anthony who was also about to vamoose out of the car prompted his glance towards his woman, instantaneously. He distributed his glance around Flower's body to percept what was wrong and what happens to be the matter. That was when he could see Flower quarrelling with the seatbelt and contending to get it off herself.
Anthony ridiculed with a fragile scoff. He rolled his emrald eyes and exhaled tiredly.
"Flower. Let me get it for you," he said.
Without counting the girl's response as important. As soon as he said that, he stretched his hands forward in order to help Flower with her seatbelt problem.
"Wait…!" Flower said hesitantly. She still wanted to protest. However, Anthony wasn't the type of person who needed anyone's permission to touch his properties or make use of them. And before Flower knew it, Anthony's hands were already around her tiny waist.
Flower closed her eyes, even she wasn't sure of why she did so. Perhaps out of impulse or out of fear of what Anthony might end up doing next since he seemed like someone who would always take advantage of every opportunity he gets when making contact with any sensitive part of her body.
In no time. Anthony was done. He then withdrew his hands from the girl's waist. Immediately after unbuckling Flower's seatbelt he attempted to leave the car.
But then, he saw that Flower's eyes were concealed. Anthony stared at this gesture for awhile.
He exhaled.
Then, impatiently he spoke with vehemency;
