Inside the wilderness, and not too far away from where Flower was hoping to walk towards before stopping her steps in dread and overwhelming fright. Atop a nearby tree layed five full-grown fierce white bears, with sharp claws and penetrating yellow vicious fangs, they were fast asleep, or perhaps they were just hibernating, since bears often loves to hibernate during winter seasons. Either ways it wasn't a favourable situation. They were all hung separately on the tree in different segments and angles. Some shooked whilst hibernating, while some just wiggled there ears unknowingly as they were weak and vulnerable.
They weren't aware of Flower's present. And indeed as much as she counted herself unfortunate, the fact that they weren't aware of her present was a good thing. For someone like Flower who had basically spent most of her lifetime educating herself about the wildlife out there knew that those bears were already in their hibernating period.
So therefore, a ray of hope was still present. Snapping out of the daze she was in, Flower subconsciously regain her true demeanor. Although not fully confident, because she knew that if one of those bears accidentally opened its eyes and caught sight of her, then she would just have to kiss her precious life which is the most important thing to her, farewell.
She despised her present situation. But this wasn't the time to hate. Thus, she rapidly took some mild but agile steps backwards and backwards, making sure to not carelessly make a sound to foil her plans or put her life in jeopardy.
She bite her lips really severely. Trying simply not to recklessly create a sound that will mistakenly announce her presence to the enemies.
Her heart palpitated unfathomably to the extent that she could hear it thumping loudly. And this made her worried so much, knowing fully well that even her heartbeat at this rate could wake those bundles of nightmares up and cause her eternal torment. So she tried her possible best to relax herself, but she just couldn't. She was too impulsive already.
She continued drifting backwards gently, not even making the slightest sounds. As it is, if she ended up staying there for too long, they might end up perceiving her scent, and assume her as their prey. Besides, although those five bundle of nightmares were all in their hibernating period, it still didn't mean that they weren't still absolutely dangerous. Still thinking all this, Flower perpetuate drifting back, until she was faraway enough.
And when she was sure that those flesh hungry scavengers wouldn't be able to hear her anymore. She then began running away, faraway from those five dreadful flesh hungry scavengers. Tears continuously dripped down from her eyes as she had once watched her life flash right before her eyes not too long ago.
She knew that bears were populated in Alaska. She also knew that they were so scary, but however, compared to their videos which she had always watched, and which she had naturally seen from the zoo back in Florida, they presently appeared more vicious and scary. Perhaps it was due to the fact that she was the only one at the environment and out in the wilds alone like a lost and wounded cute little lamb.
She panted profusely whilst running.
Accidentally, her leg hooked behind a small stone on the floor. Causing her to fall down truculently. Flower who would have began to rant and ramble if such had transpired on a normal day, couldn't even stop to acknowledge the pain of the fall, hasten her body upwards and continued running away from the hibernating bundles of nightmares.
With so many thoughts running through her mind.
'Oh no. What if there are still multiple bears that aren't hibernating out here? Oh heavens, I'm doomed!'
'What if I end up being sighted by another set of bears? I can't literally climb up a tree to avoid them if I'm being chased by them, they're expert climbers. Oh heavens help me.'
'Goodness gracious! What have I gotten my self Into? I should've just stayed back at the mansion instead,' Flower lamented inwardly. Realizing now that even if she doesn't die now, eventually she would have to because she just got lucky today, and she knew well that luck just wasn't always on her side.
Hot, and painful tears rolled down her red cheeks ceaselessly as she perpetuate running. She continued lamenting inwardly, 'I shouldn't have tried to escape. I shouldn't have, I should've just stayed back and heeded to their commands. I'm definitely going to die here sooner or later.'
Immediately after that thought, Flower meticulously prompted her legs to halt once again. As she caught sight of those flesh devouring scavengers which she had spotted atop a tree not too long ago again. They were akin to the ones she had percepted earlier, be it by their piercing yellow fangs, vicious and ferocious sharp claws and hefty figure, and by their white furs, they appeared so much alike.
The only difference between those she discern not too long ago and those she was presently speculating now was that they had some piercing black eyeballs that were capable of making a toddler cry in anguish if stared at. Meaning, they were fully awake and patrolling the area. They were three in number, and they don't look even fatigued yet, which means they weren't going to be hibernating anytime soon.
Flower didn't even know what expression to advertise on her face. She was basically staring away at three hazardous beast like a circus show, she didn't know if it's to cry, or shiver or even hide away, she couldn't comprehend what to do next. She was still trying to decipher the unfathomable amount of dread that were aggravated inside of her being already.
She swallowed hard. All she wanted to do now was to just scream her lungs out like a banshee. She stood in one place, still staring at her nightmare.
The only advantage she had against them was just that they were pretty faraway from where she was. She had spotted them atop the hill somewhere, however they hadn't spotted her yet.
But Flower knew absolutely well that, they would soon pick up her scent and began trailing it.
Staring at them made Flower's face already seemed ghast and bleak. She now appeared like a snow ghost. Her hands tightly clenching the reins of her backpack as though they were trying to runaway. She shivered dreadfully, not because of the coldness, but due to fear.
'How many bears could be out here?' she wondered apprehensively. 'What if I'm only going closer to my death with every step I take? What if I come across so many of them if take another route? Am I going to die today? Oh gosh!' She panted immersely in timorousness. Clenching much more tighter onto the reins of her backpack as though her life depended on it, making her palms turn white as though drained of blood completely. She rapidly wiped her tears with the sleeve of her hoodie.
On impulse, she hastily scampered towards another unsure direction. Hoping on seeking a safe haven. Flower then hide behind a tree to relieve herself of her heavy heart. She relaxed her back on the tree and breath heavily in and out. She couldn't contain all that she was detecting.
Lifting her hands, she used them to adjust her hairs which had scattered around her face roughly whilst scurrying for her precious life. And then afterwards, she gulped down some water, and let out a satisfying sound. She closed back the water container, and she continued panting, but not as heavily as before.
Opening the water container again. She poured some water on her face and used it to wash it. Immediately after that, she began to hear sounds of growls and roars. Flower was so bewildered by it.
'Are there lion's in Alaska also?' Flower asked herself inwardly in pure amusement after hearing sounds of loud, penetrating growling and roaring coming from somewhere around her.
Flower's brain began putting two and two together. She knew that there was no way that a lion could leave in such cold places, lion's were only present in the wildlife of Africa, and in the zoo of any continent that were able to get hold of it from Africa. Alaska wasn't a natural habitat for lion's.
But then again, since Flower could come across a human werewolf here, it meant anything could happen here. So she shouldn't be too baffled.
"A lion?" she mumbled in disbelief.
'Impossible!' she thought.
Then Flower thought about it again, 'But… what if it's true? If a werewolf could exist here, then a lion could also too. I don't think I should…'
Flower was jolted out of her thinking state when she speculated that the growling and roaring sounds were getting louder and more intensed. She didn't know what to do, should she runaway or stay? What if she runaway into another direction and ended up running into the clutches of whatever was creating those horrible sounds. No, she shouldn't act rash.
Flower peeped at her environment, and this was when she caught sight of something. It took her by surprise.
"Huh?" she squinted her eyebrows.
