Most things haven't been in favour of Flower lately, and even she knew that, but then what was giving her confident was a saying 'it's better to try and fail than to not try at all'. Even in a tough situation, one has to stay bountifully self-assured and impudent at all time, although it might not be able to help the situation in whole, but at least it gives one hope, and in every battle, hope must be the leader.
…
Flower sneezed. Then she sniffled her runny nose. She shivered tenderly like a cat which had just been sprayed with water from an hose. And as though she was going to freeze anytime soon, every part of her delicate body had been overwhelmed by coldness.
Flower sneezed again. Wiping the spatters away from the side of her mouth and atop her mouthwatering lips. Not too long after that sneeze, she sneezed once more. She felt slightly dizzy.
'Oh heavens!'
'I hope I don't die here.'
She sighed. And she kept walking groggily off to nowhere, hoping to tread the path left for her by grace and the way prepared for her by fate. On the contrary no one really knows what the next day might bring, so for Flower she was going to except whatever the next day gives her and embrace it partly because she had no choice, and as long as it isn't death. Even if it was death she couldn't literally do anything about it. All that she was certain about was that Anthony wouldn't be here to save her this time, so she had to fight for herself and strive for freedom and the right to be alive, besides, if one doesn't fight for themselves, who will? And then presently her biggest enemy was the cold here in Alaska and how it was treating her body, and the painful part of it was that she couldn't do anything about it or have any ideas on how to put a stop it.
She sneezed once again. Her throats felt sore and her body wasn't really treating her fairly as we speak, it turns out her body was now her biggest enemy and was doing everything to keep her away from her sinistral tactics.
Flower could feel all the bones in her body jerking as though they were going to escape out of her body and fugitive. She had experience this type of situation before, however, back then she was still under the shadow of her fellow students and a supervisor—expert, so she had nothing to be afraid of since it was just camping, and camping in the wilds was a must for people wanting to be a professional wildlife reporter activist, so all that was going on back then wasn't as scary as this.
Flower momentarily kept treading deeper into the wilderness.
Around Flower, there were enormous tree, and all of the trees barely had any leaf atop them. They were spikey and looked harsh, giving it a more unpleasant, creepy and spooky aura which was capable of scaring the pants of someone's bottoms at night. Some of the trees had little leafs on them, but they were all frozen.
Miles away and up ahead of Flower, a large snowy hill slope was layed down smoothly and dangerously. It was overwhelmed in snow from top to bottom, and it was a very long one to be precised. It looked really nice for snow kayaking. But snow kayaking was the last thing in Flower's head at present. Anything having fun had totally hidden itself away from Flower, or perhaps Flower was the one who hide it away from herself.
It is inevitable for Flower to not cross that enormous, paramount snowy hill slope if she wanted to cross over to the other side. It looked exactly like that snowy hill slope that had caused her to roll truculently and violently whilst attempting to escape from her room yesterday.
Lucky for Flower, the hill was still utterly faraway from her, she still had a very distant way to go before reaching there. She was just looking at it up ahead not that she was almost at the snowy hill slope and it would take her approximately at least the next day to be able to reach it and attempt it.
So therefore, all that is left for Flower to do was to anticipate in dread and make plans for the snowy hill slope up ahead so as to secure a better experience whilst sliding down it. However, the snowy hill slope preparation will be prepared tomorrow, because presently, Flower was still too weak to put a lot more pressure on herself or ponder about other ulterior motives. So she was going to leave the planning phase for tomorrow and perhaps who knows, tomorrow might be good to her unlike today.
Flower used the sleeve of her hoodie to wipe the mucus off her nose. She sniffled and snorted profusely.
Flower glanced down at the snow filled container which was in her hand at present. It was transparent thus she could see through it, and she could also perceived that fresh, cold liquids were dripping out from it non-stop. Which means, the snow which she had packed inside it was had already melted into water. This was good news for Flower, finally she could drink water after so long.
Flower managed to secure a fragile smile on her dry, frozen and trembling lips. She held the container in her hands and stared at it, before opening it and gulped down some fresh water which her body and organs really needed. The water still contained some unmelted snow, but Flower didn't care, she mashed the uncrushed snow with her chattering teeth and then consumed it in.
'Ahhhh!'
She let out a sound of satisfaction after consuming the waters to her satisfaction. She panted slowly, as a result of forgetting to breath whilst swallowing the water.
Flower belched not too long after.
She hastily covered her mouth with her hand. Flower had been thought from a very young age about how to behave, what to do and what not to do. Belching was part of what she had been cautioned about by her mother. Her mother would always tell her to always cover up her mouth when she wants to belch.
But then presently, it doesn't count because she was alone unlike before when she was always surrounded by lovely people. Her mother's training was still with her and now she realized that it doesn't really count anymore.
Flower removed her hands from her mouth and her demeanor switched. She almost felt like crying and lamenting about her unfavorable life. A tear quickly slide down her face and down to her chin, she couldn't help but remember her mother back in Florida and how she missed her and how her sweet mother must be hurting right now after hearing that they were missing or that they had died.
Flower sniffled. She then hastily wiped her tears and walked away and further into the wilderness. Her view had became blurry and her eyes was still filled with profound tears which was striving to slide down her cheeks, but then Flower was reluctant to cry.
Her eyes became more blur by the second, as it became more occupied with fresh salty liquids. It became so blur to the extent that she almost tripped and fell due to lack of light.
Flower determinedly regained her balance, casting her hands upon her eyes, she roughly eliminated all the liquids in it and wiped them away with her sleeves harshly. She sighed, then she perpetuate her walking phase.
"I'm… coming mum," she mumbled slothfully.
Flower's big eyeballs scanned her environment thoroughly and continued treading like a lost lamb in a lion's territory. She held unto the reins of her satchel and advanced as the wind formidably send her long, black hairs backwards beauteously, forcing it to dance in the air.
Her skin was as pale as ever. Particles of snows overwrought her head and black hairs like a snowman.
The weather at hand was not as pleasurable as it seems. It was abundantly snowing at present, not too heavily, but it deems as though it was going to increase soon enough and it seems a snowstorm was coming soon. The environment was coalesced with mist making it more harder to see in such weather.
The worst part was that Flower had already gone a long way already and she couldn't even see any houses or buildings or even cottages. All these was making Flower more anxious and nervous. What if, just what if Anthony was right about the fact that no one other than him, Horatio, Regina and herself lives in this wildlife reserve. If that was the case then it only meant one thing, meaning, she was going to die here. These was all that Flower was contemplating.
'No it can't be. There must be a way!' she reassured herself.
Flower's stomach grunted. Making it more obvious that she was hungry, she hated the state that she was presently in. She knew that she was very hungry, and she had been trying to not acknowledge the feeling of hunger which had submerged her early this morning, Flower had done her best to not acknowledge the feeling, however, now Flower couldn't do that anymore.
The urge to eat was too overwhelming. It made her weak in the knees and was making her feel dizzy. If only Alaska wasn't this cold, just if only!
Flower rubbed her belly and she continued walking around against all hurdles.
