Chapter 18 - Breakfast with a Werewolf

Flower felt goosebumps shadowing her delicate body every now and then. She kept following Regina trailing every steps she took and turning everytime she turns like a duckling trailing its mother for protection and food.

From the walking, Flower had already grasp another view of the luxurious mansion and everything in it. Portraits were hung on the wall vertically around the passageway of the mansion, Flower had guessed that perhaps Anthony was the one who drew it. Eventhough Flower was still anxious about meeting him, she couldn't help but admire his skills and talents.

Later on, Regina led Flower towards a particular room which was supposedly the dining room.

"We're there," Regina informed.

Flower entered in, shifting the white curtains aside. She casted a thorough glance at the place with every step she embodied.

The room appeared expensive and luxurious as always, no surprise there. A round table was placed in the middle of it, and about ten chairs were surrounding them. Their meals had already been embellished on the table and arranged neatly. Flower could perceive pies, omelettes, fried chickens, baked potatoes, pork meat sandwiches and so on.

'So many meals for only me and that scoundrel, are we doing thanksgiving or what?' She thought, '…and where is that scoundrel anyways? He's nowhere to be found. Well it's a good thing, I'll quickly eat something before he comes and create a scene here for me.'

'But… it's not polite to eat without him when he has promised that we were going to be having breakfast together. He's the owner of the house he can do as he pleases, even if he wishes to come late to the dining room then I would have no choice but to wait for him.'

"Young Lady. Have a sit," Regina indicated, pulling out a chair for Flower to sit on.

"Thank you Mrs Regina," Flower replied with a smile to Regina's kind gesture.

"You're welcome."

"Where is that scoun…" Flower hastily kept her mouth shut, quickly realizing that she could only call Anthony a scoundrel in her mind and not to his personal housekeeper.

Then she begin a whole sentence afresh, hopefully, Regina wouldn't have been able to grasp her nonsensical first unfinished sentence. Flower cleared her throat, "I meant to say where is Anthony? Weren't we supposed to be having breakfast together?" Flower asked.

As expected, thankfully for Flower it didn't seem as though Regina had heard it clearly. With a smile as always, "He will come soon. Please be patient," she said, "If it happens that you've waited for a long time and he doesn't come, then you can start eating. As it is, we need you to eat well so that you can get the proper strength you need and in that way your internal injuries will get some more chances of healing quickly."

"Have you taken your medicine this morning? I had placed it earlier in the room for you when you were still asleep," Regina said.

'Damn! I knew I was forgetting something this morning,' Flower gave a trivial thought before finally replying with an awkward smile.

"I haven't done that yet. When I'm done eating, I'll make sure to take them, I promise."

Regina who was standing beside Flower the whole time widened her smile. She caressed Flower's hairs like that of a little girl.

"That's okay. Just make sure you take them, it's for your own good afterall," she said.

"Sure I'll take…"

Flower halted her sentence after witnessing a passionate brumal wind which was as cold as ice and as bone-chilling as fresh drops of rain water. It accelerated into the room, causing the white curtains at the entryway to soar forcefully up in the air like an angel ascending from heaven.

'He's here," Flower thought. Assuming that such wind would only be generated after someone arrived into the room. Thus, it could be no one other than good old Anthony the great.

Spontaneously after that thought, Anthony came by like the wind. He stood behind the table with both his hands placed on the edge.

His dressing when Flower saw him this morning had changed. This morning he was wearing the black trouser and black shirt which he had once wore yesterday when they were going out.

However, now it seemed that just like Flower he had also taken a proper shower and he was accurately effigiated in a black joggers and a black and white oversized hoodie. Half of the hoodie were overwhelmed with black colours, while the other half were overwhelmed with white colours. Making it appears as though he was a chessboard.

His shoulder length blond hairs were neatly covered by the hood of the hoodie he was wearing and he was wearing only a white socks with no footwears.

Not too long after his arrival, Flower's nostrils had already been overshadowed by his distinguish captivating scent. Loving his scent too much made Flower hated herself so much, then her cheeks burnt red excessively.

Breaking the awkward silent, "Alright then, I'll take my leave. Enjoy!" Regina said with a trivial bow, moving away from Flower, she walked towards the entryway and left the dining room for both of them.

Anthony pulled a chair opposite Flower's direction. Knowing that his choice of sitting was going to give him a better chance of percepting Flower's adorable face.

Anthony relaxed his back on the chair, his hands were perfectly hidden behind the pockets of his oversized black and white hoodie. He didn't appear to have a frown on his face, neither did he have a smirk or a smile on his lips. He looked as expressionless as ever.

He stared directly at Flower's face with his sharp emrald coloured eyeballs, making it utterly obvious that it was Flower that he was staring at. He stared to the extent that Flower herself who wasn't looking at Anthony could sense the intensive gaze that was capable of penetrating ones heart being given to her by Anthony.

Flower continued to look down and her cheeks burnt red more excessively. She couldn't simply start eating first when Anthony himself hasn't started to eat.

Unexpectedly, Flower's stomach grunted. Making it abundantly obvious and certain that she was hungry. However, she just couldn't eat yet since Anthony wasn't eating yet.

"Eat!"

Anthony stated, jolting Flower slightly with his deep and hoarse voice. He had probably heard Flower's grunting stomach, perhaps this was the reason for his word.

Flower nodded delicately, partly out of fear and shyness and partly out of nervousness and because indeed she was utterly hungry. Although Flower nodded, even so, she didn't look towards Anthony to see his face, as she was still sure that he was staring at her. Flower had witnessed this with the corners of her eyes.

Flower slowly and steadily lifted her hands that were once situated on her laps. She began to serve herself with the mouthwatering delicacy that were embellished on the surface of the round table.

After she was fully satisfied with her choice of food, she shifted the plate towards herself and immediately clenched a fork and began to eat up.

Anthony on the other hand perpetuate staring at Flower. He sat there as quiet as a snowflake, he didn't even touch the water, nor the orange juice and not even the food. His emrald eyeballs were obediently trailing Flower's every move.

Anthony substituted his position, adjusting himself on the chair. Then he continued staring at Flower who was halfway through her meal.

Flower sensed that Anthony had just switched his position, so she had guessed that he was going to start serving himself some food. Therefore, Flower lifted her face upwards, to see if truly what she had thought was true.

However, to Flower's surprise, the moment her own eyeballs met with Anthony's own, she saw that Anthony was still not eating anything and was sitting there patiently with his hands inside the pockets of his oversized hoodie.

Flower promptly looked away from him, seeing that Anthony was still looking at him. Flower couldn't assimilate the expression on Anthony's face, he didn't look happy, neither did he look sad.

Then a thought popped to Flower's head, 'Wait a minute… could it be that he is expecting me to serve him a meal just like a wife does for his husband?' Flower thought. 'Perhaps I should just do that, at least that would make him stop giving me those hard stares. He's so impossible.'

Flower stood up, she grabbed a plate and served the same thing she served herself to Anthony, hopefully he would eat and stop piercing her with those stares.

Anthony kept looking at Flower, keeping an eye on everything that the girl was doing without changing the expression on his attractive face.

When Flower was done, she served him the food, placing it in front of him.

"There you go," she said shortly. Then she sat back down on her own chair in hopes of finishing her own meal.

Soon enough, Flower noticed that Anthony wasn't touching the food which she had specially served for him. 'I wonder why he's not eating,' Flower thought, 'Does he not like the food? But it tastes so delicious.'

Flower couldn't help but speak;

"What happened? Don't you like the food?"

"I don't eat this types of food," Anthony said curtly.

From Anthony's words Flower then reasoned that since Anthony was a werewolf, it only makes sense that he doesn't like to eat this types of food.

"Oh. Why then did you say that you wanted to have breakfast with me when you don't eat this types of food?" Flower asked, a little furious.

"I never said that I was going to eat the food. I only said that I was going to have breakfast with you," Anthony stated firmly.

Flower then realized that she had misunderstood the whole situation. She had even served him food thinking that perhaps the reason he hasn't been eating was because he was expecting her to serve him. But then, now it wasn't the case. Flower couldn't help but want to facepalm herself.

"What then do you want to eat?" Flower asked. Hopefully, she might be able to make it for him or even have Regina make it.

"You," Anthony stated with a straightface.

After hearing Anthony's words, Flower coughed to the extent of almost choking on her meal. She quickly gulped down some water and calmed herself down, now trying to decipher Anthony's words. She didn't really understand if he wanted to get intimate with her or eat her flesh since he was a werewolf, therefore, Flower didn't assume anything of his word yet.

"Me?!" Flower said in a bewildered manner, she wasn't really expecting that from him at all, she was utterly shocked.

Anthony nodded once, "Yes you," he said, "I want to make love to you."
