Light Army General's POV
For as long as I can remember I've been made to train. I never really understood why I had to train this much when nothing happens here in Tamra, but it was the king's order to pick the best of the best and train them into elite soldiers since the king has always been known to be wise, everyone just went with the flow. Have I ever doubted the king's wisdom?, yes, yes I have. Until today, earlier this morning I've been having certain weird feelings and my left eye had been twitching and whenever my left eye starts to twitch it signifies a bad omen, I figured this out during my training, whenever danger approaches from an opponent, my left eye starts to twitch (sighs), I remember the rest of the soldiers laughing and calling left eye a rader. After my training I have yet to experience such a thing, that is, until today, my left eye had been twitching, my assistant was rather surprised because this was a phenomenon that only occurs when danger is approaching and suddenly it stops, so he made a suggestion and asked that we go scout the area for any approaching threat which I would have gladly agreed to but we are the king's elite soldiers, we can't make any decision on our own. While trying to figure out a way to go scout the area without attracting the king's wrath, a trumpet blows signifying an urgent assembly of the light army, after rushing over, we were informed to go scout the land and report back any vital information found and that's how I found myself here in the forest. Going deep into the forest I noticed a scent following us, a scent different from that of my soldiers, at first I was vigilant waiting for the owner of the event to appear but no one came forth so I decided to ignore but at the same time not ignore the scent. Going further into the forest I could feel that a battle had occurred somewhere around and it did not look like a simple one, I decided to be cautious and prepared just in case when I felt something flash in front of me and out of instinct, I kicked it away and there it was squatting not too far from was a young elf man, it seems my kick and suppressing aura had given a big blow seeing how pale he was. He seemed to be struggling to take something, curious, I decided to reduce the suppression on him, he took that opportunity and threw something towards me, if I had not noticed he had no bad intention, I would have thrown whatever it was that he threw at me right back at him but it seems I had made the right decision to see what he was up to, turns out what he threw at me was his waist pendant signifying his identity, I signaled to one of my soldiers and he brought it to me, surprisingly he turned out to be the child of a noble official (calming down his aura, he turns to him)
"what do you want?". I represent the king's elite army(scoffs) of course am a little bit prideful and I also cannot stand people being weak around me.
Son-Wook POV
(internal monologue)
"Shit, he's definitely not one to beat around the bush (touches his rapidly beating heart, he chants) Calm down, calm down, you've got this, (facing the general, he attempts to stand up but couldn't, so he sat down back and spoke to himself before speaking to the man) at this rate I've probably broken a rib or two(faces the man, surprised) he sure looks tough. (placing his hand on his head to make a formal greeting) greetings to the light army, my name is Son-Wook, son to his Lordship, il-Hyun, I urgently request help, (eye twitches)I and my 'brother' were on our way to the river when we discovered a maiden unconscious on the roadside, we decided to help out but we have no idea who this maiden is or where she lives so while my brother watches over her, I was tasked with the responsibility of looking for help".
General's POV
Looking at the man who looked kind of drained I had a little bit of disdain for him, call me unfair but am someone who is surrounded by people constantly trying to improve their talent and physical traits, and to encounter someone like this just didn't sit right with me but hearing what the man had to say I can't deny that I was really curious, what if this was a clue? At the same time, what if it was a trap? I mean so what if he was the son of an official, that doesn't mean he couldn't be a traitor or a mischievous being(frowning)
"you do realize that if you are caught lying only death awaits you, right?"
".... I am most definitely aware"
" lead the way"
MERMAID POV
(with a frustrated smile while looking at the almost blackening sky) what exactly have I gotten myself into? If I had known all this would happen, I would have just minded my own business and gone my way but nooooooo.. I decided to help a certain someone (grabs her hair and screams out of annoyance).
Chung Jo looks at the screaming girl with a look that screams "Have you suddenly gone mad". While Joon-ha looks at the lady in his arms with a frown while wondering if she was disturbed by the sudden scream.
The mermaid sees all of this and just rolls her eyes(asking no one in particular)" Why is the one we sent not coming back (gasps) it couldn't be that he had abandoned us, right?"
Chungjo's inner monologue
" wouldn't that be perfect, it would be even better if he encounters a demon and never returns"
Joon-ha inner monologue
" (slightly worried) Did he maybe come across something dangerous or did he not find someone yet? (suddenly tenses up) whoever is coming is definitely not any ordinary being (raises his vigilance) it seems they are more than one. With my state right now, at most, I will only be able to deal with three or four but it seems like there are more than six of them (turns to look at Chungjo and sees her also staring in the direction he felt the incoming people would come in through) (sighs) even though I hate to admit it, she's quite good.
Son-Wook POV
(sighs with relief) we're finally here. I bet Hyung will never see this coming(smiles mischievously). Meanwhile, he is being carried by two soldiers because no matter how hard he tries to move on his own his legs refuse to give in. At first, he was so embarrassed but now he had accepted his predicament and decided that he would just enjoy the ride after all he was tired.
Meanwhile, Joon-ha could feel footsteps approaching closer, he got up intending to find out what the approaching people wanted before making any move. Seeing him get up, Chungjo gets up also and draws her sword making a battle stance just in case. Seeing the both of them in action, the golden-colored-hair mermaid turns pale and decides to stand up also. If one paid attention to her right now, you'd discover the once brightly colored hair had gone dim.
Suddenly they heard a mischievous voice calling out "Hyung". Looking around they saw the person who had left their presence on his two feet being carried by two huge men. Joon-ha's first thought was 'What is this idiot up to(in a worried manner)'. The mermaid on the other hand looked slightly better except for the hair which was still dim. As for Chungjo, when she saw the two people carrying Son-Wook, she was only slightly surprised until she heard a voice that turned her pale.
"Your Highness".
