Chapter 1 - The Boy and His Master

Magicā€¦

What is magic?

Magic isā€¦ Magic isā€¦

Looking up, his eyes directly look into her eyes.

"Magic is love."

Hearing him speak, she nods.

With a simple wisk of her wand, the entire sea turns, as in agreement with the kid's words.

"Laplace, you're correct once again." Grabbing his hand, she waves her wand again, and their bodies shift.

"Your brother wanted me to show you this one special thing."

Putting her wand to the side of her, they begin to walk on a simple path. Looking around, many trees and mountains surround them.

"La, what do you think your older brother fears the most?"

Staying quiet for the most part, he stops for a second. Looking down at the leaves that he was stepping on, his face crunches.

"Non-Purity witches & wizards."

Hearing his response, she takes a small second to think.

"You're halfway right, he may despise them but his other half. Or rather. His main fear is protecting you."

Hearing this, he looks at her with contempt.

"Don't look at me that way, his hate for them was here for a reason. The killings of his fellow wizards are something he rather not see. What do you know of the warlocks of the old ages?"

"Not much."

*BOOM*

"Seems like they're listening."

Pulling up her wand, all he hears is a silent whisper, a whisper that brings great dread upon the people it is cast to.

Shortly after everything simply fades back to what it was.

"Master Morgana-"

"Let me focus." Shutting him out, she casts another spell.

"This should let us be safe." Moving again, they come across a simple cave.

"What do you see?"

"A cave."

"What do you feel?"

"Nothing."

Moving her hand to him, she tells him to close his eyes.

"What do you feel now?"

Opening his eyes, the air looked to be blue, and the cave emitted a dark context.

"This is seeing magic with your eyes. Our brother wasn't lying, you're quite talented."

Ruffling his hair, she takes his hand.

"This is when things get dangerous. Make sure to keep close. It will be a problem if you get lost."

Taking him into the cave, they quickly find a path to take.

"This is your destiny, Laplace. Though, I must say. You'll be the one to change the course of history."

Saying something so vaguely, her hands appear to hold something.

"This was a quicker journey than I thought it would be."

Flipping through the book, she smiles at the content.

"Learn everything in this, this is knowledge I attained at your age.."

Handing the child the book, Morgana takes her wand and waves it again.

Appearing back to the original spot, she smiles and ruffles his hair again.

"I see you back in the castle."

Walking back to the castle, Morgana takes off first.

Looking at the vast lake in front of him. He looks at the book in his hands. Opening the book, he immediately closes it.

Feeling instant fear, he keeps the book closed. Moving back to the castle too, he gets stopped by someone.

"Laplace, where did Morgana take you?"

Standing in front of him, his master's master, or rather his master's enemy is standing there.

"Nowhere Merlin."

"Really now?" Moving closer to him, Laplace feels like he can't move.

"Whatever you are plotting." Saying that the entire area becomes a frenzy with magic falucating everywhere. "I will figure it out." Disappearing like nothing happened, Laplace stands there.

Still shaking, none of his thoughts can form, the only thing in his mind is the immense magic that was pressurized on him.

Moving to his room, mindlessly, he doesn't know when. But he feels his hands shifting through the book.
