John's villa had remained mostly unchanged since the last time Diana visited. However, there were now many blue roses in the backyard of the villa. Diana was moved by this sight, as blue roses seemed to have become a silent understanding and symbol between them.
She crouched down and touched the lush leaves, then looked at their location as if she knew something. "John, this location is right in front of your bedroom window, isn't it?" she said.
John nodded slightly. Seeing the flowers reminded him of what she said at the airport. He would feel better just thinking about it. "When I come over, I want to plant some under the window too!" Diana said naturally.
When John heard this, his pupils shrank slightly. She said... she would come here in the future... Although they were already engaged, John always felt that it was not real. He even worried that it might be a scam, and one day he would wake up and everything would go back to the way it was before, when they couldn't stand each other.
But now, she actively said she would live with him... He was a little dazed for a moment.
Meanwhile, Diana had stood up. She clapped her hands and pulled John's wrist. "It's not time to eat yet, John. Let's go upstairs first!" she said.
"Upstairs?" John asked.
"Yes. Didn't you say last time that I was too drunk to play the piano for you? I'll play it for you now!" Diana said sweetly, revealing two little dimples.
John was moved, and he held her small hand tightly in his palm. "Okay," he said.
He led her into the villa. Diana felt that her fingers were tightly grasped, as if she would disappear if she let go. She was a little puzzled. Did he still feel insecure?
The two of them walked up the stairs, and only then did John reluctantly let her go.
Diana ran towards one of the rooms and opened it with precision.
Inside, not only was there a piano, but also some other instruments, including a guitar on the wall that caught Diana's eye, causing her to momentarily hesitate.
In a previous life, she had smashed that guitar viciously, driving John out of her world.
Thinking about it now, she felt regret and heartache.
"How did you know it was this room?" John followed her in and was surprised.
"...I stumbled upon it last time." Diana blinked guiltily before sitting down at the piano and smiling at him.
"I'm going to start now."
John leaned against the door frame, his eyes fixed on her.
After so many years, he wondered how the little girl's piano playing had improved.
He needed to be prepared and ready to say something nice no matter how strange the sounds might be.
Just as he had that thought, he was suddenly interrupted by several sharp and crisp notes that emanated from the piano, followed by gradually softer sounds, like a shy girl's secrets.
Diana sat focused in front of the piano, her ten slender fingers moving quickly across the keys like fluttering butterflies.
John was familiar with this piece, and even professional piano professors had to approach it with great caution as it was not an easy one to play. One misstep could ruin it.
But Diana appeared relaxed, with slightly narrowed eyes, effortlessly gliding through the difficult piece with a confident and proud attitude, like a little princess.
John remained motionless, watching her exquisite profile, completely captivated by the girl in front of him.
This little girl was not like her usual adorable self, but was elegant and charming in her own right.
As the piece came to an end, Diana released her fingers from the keys, stood up, and even bowed gracefully.
"How was it?" She eagerly stood in front of John and asked.
John did not speak, he simply walked towards her, closing the door behind him with ease.
"That was beautiful, the best performance I've ever heard," John complimented.
"Well, my true skill goes far beyond that," Diana replied with a smug smile, feeling pleased with the praise.
John couldn't help but chuckle at her self-satisfied expression. He reached out and brushed a strand of hair from her forehead, tucking it behind her ear. As his fingertips grazed her cheek, his hand paused, hesitating before coming to rest on her face, lightly caressing her skin.
Diana was caught off guard by his sudden touch, her eyelashes fluttering as she realized what he was doing. Her face turned red in an instant, feeling the atmosphere between them become a little awkward.
What was he doing?
But her reaction seemed to please John, who had expected her to shy away or feel uncomfortable. Instead, she appeared to be so adorable and bashful.
He couldn't help but desire to touch her more.
"Little girl," John's deep, magnetic voice rumbled softly.
"Hmm?" Diana replied, like a quail, lowering her head and avoiding eye contact, feeling nervous under his gaze.
John's eyes dimmed a little as he looked at Diana, who was standing before him. His fingers trailed down and he held her chin. Diana was forced to look up at him, and when she met John's unabashed desire in his eyes, her face flushed red to the neck. She felt her heart pounding in her chest and couldn't help taking a deep breath. She was nervous, but she didn't feel like escaping or feeling disgusted. Instead, she seemed to be expecting something deep inside...
"It's strange. Why am I feeling this way?" thought Diana.
As John looked at her damp gaze, his sanity finally crumbled completely. He narrowed his eyes and his slightly cold lips covered hers slowly. This was the first real kiss between them. The first two times were when she was not in a clear state of mind, but this time, she was willing.
The thought of it made John feel incredibly excited, and the blood in his body began to boil. He held Diana's waist with one hand and firmly grasped the back of her head with the other, deepening the kiss. Diana had no experience and was completely responding to him. With his guidance, she felt that her body had undergone some strange changes.
Lost in her feelings, she couldn't help but make a low sound, "Mmm..."
This sound was like a fuse, completely shattering John's sanity. He picked up the girl in his arms and pressed her against the piano behind him.
Diana's eyes widened in alarm as she stared at the man in front of her, who seemed to be on the verge of losing control.
Behind her was a cold piano, while in front of her was what seemed like a volcano. This combination of fire and ice made her feel a bit dazed.
John buried his head in her neck, kissing her passionately when he suddenly heard an excited voice outside the door.
"Boss, boss, I'm back!"
Jackson, wrapped in a huge down jacket and not even having changed his clothes, had rushed straight from the airport to John's villa, eager to see his beloved boss.
He thought that since his boss had been so eager to have him come back, he must have missed him just as much!
Upon hearing the commotion, Diana immediately snapped out of her daze.
She pushed John away from her, saying, "Someone's here!"
Upon hearing the noise, Jackson immediately ran to the door of the piano room and pushed it open.
"Boss, I...," he began to say, but upon seeing the scene inside, his mouth fell open and he almost bit his own tongue.
John had shielded the person underneath him tightly, his eyes like a pair of icy blades, aimed directly at the stunned Jackson.
He wished he could have ripped him to shreds.
"I'll leave on my own!"
Before John could even say anything, Jackson quickly spoke up. He then reached out and slammed the door shut.
Standing at the door, both of Jackson's legs were trembling.
That look in the boss's eyes just now was even colder than the Siberian cold front!
He was done for!
Was it still possible for him to escape now...
Jackson's sudden interruption caused an awkward silence between Diana and John, and the atmosphere in the room instantly changed.
Diana looked down at her disheveled skirt, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Oh no. She had been too enamored with John's charm and nearly lost control!
Compared to her shyness, John remained composed. He tidied her hair and straightened her clothes.
After they both regained their composure, he spoke softly, "Are you hungry?"
"Mmm..." Diana responded absentmindedly, "Are you hungry, too?"
"...Yes, I am," John replied, his gaze burning with desire, sending a clear message of flirtation.
Diana's mind instantly went wild with assumptions. Was he planning on devouring her entirely?
Once Diana's emotions settled a bit, John led her downstairs.
Downstairs, the food was just being prepared.
There were numerous dishes on the table, mostly consisting of meat and seafood that she loved.
