Diana left the room with a smug smile on her face, leaving the others inside to exchange puzzled glances. Brandon was feeling humiliated after what had just transpired. As soon as Diana was out of sight, he quickly put on his clothes, trying to regain some of his dignity.
Ava, clearly displeased with Brandon's behavior, threw his shirt at him. She used to find Brandon charming with his street dance moves and romantic words, but today was a complete nightmare for her. "You couldn't even beat a girl, Brandon. What's wrong with you?"
Brandon was already feeling agitated, and her words only made it worse. "You don't understand! Even if it was someone else, they still wouldn't have been able to beat her!"
"I don't understand? All I know is that you made a complete fool of yourself today!" Ava yelled back.
As Ava and Brandon were having a heated argument, Maddie adjusted her dress and walked over to them, speaking softly, "Ava, you've misunderstood Brandon. Diana really did know Kung Fu. She told me herself, and I thought she was joking... Anyway, it's her fault. I'm sorry."
At these words, Ava suddenly realized that Diana's fighting skills were the reason Brandon was beaten up. Maddie continued, "Let's not be upset about this. No one else knows what happened today. If we don't tell anyone, everything will be fine."
Lily nodded in agreement, adding, "Exactly. If we keep quiet, no one will find out." Hearing this, Brandon felt relieved. Ava remained silent. This was precisely what Maddie wanted. She needed them all to get along, so she could manipulate them to her advantage. If they fell out, she would lose a few weapons in her arsenal.
After they all calmed down, they opened the door and walked out of the room. As soon as they stepped outside, they saw a man in a suit standing at the door, with two men behind him, who looked like bodyguards. When he saw them, the man immediately handed over a bill and said, "I'm in charge of the first floor, and this is your bill. Who will be paying for it?"
"I'll take care of it." Brandon reached out and took the bill, turning to the group. "I'm the one who suggested coming here, so it's only fair that I pay." He had just lost face earlier, and now he had to salvage some of it.
But when he saw the amount on the bill, Brandon's eyes widened, and he took a sharp breath. "How can it be so expensive?!" It was $400,000! He had already spent his pocket money, and he had only brought $100,000 with him, thinking it would be more than enough.
"Wait a minute, we didn't even drink these outrageously expensive bottles of red wine, did we?" Maddie, with her sharp eyes, noticed the category on the bill and became somewhat puzzled. They had only eaten some snacks when they arrived, played dice, and drank beer afterwards.
The manager politely informed them, "These bottles of red wine were brought in by Miss Thompson, and she said to charge them to your account."
"What nonsense! Diana is not in our team! Why should we have to pay for what she brought in?" Brandon was livid, his lungs felt like they were about to burst. This woman, as she left, was still trying to swindle him!
"Exactly! These bottles of wine shouldn't be charged to us. If you want to collect payment, go ask Diana!" Ava was equally incensed.
The manager didn't say anything, but his eyes narrowed slightly, a dangerous glint flashing through them. "So, are you saying that you won't pay the bill?"
Brandon was about to speak, but Noah stopped him. "Brandon, we're at Diohn Club," he reminded him. With that one sentence, everyone woke up from their stupor. Brandon immediately shut his mouth and reluctantly checked the balance on his cards. Added together, he had just over a hundred thousand dollars.
Upon seeing the situation, Noah was also very troubled. He said, "I bought a lot of things last month and now I only have $60,000 in savings." Lily chimed in, "I went on vacation with my cousin this summer and I have $40,000 left." Ava then revealed that she had emptied out all of her savings and only had $100,000.
Suddenly, everyone's attention fell on Maddie. She was about to say that she had no money, but Ava interrupted her and said, "Oh, wait Maddie, didn't you say last time that you saved $200,000 over the years? That's great! You can just take out $100,000!"
Maddie's heart skipped a beat and she almost vomited blood. She really liked Ava's carefree and reckless attitude, but when it was directed towards her, it made her so angry that she could strangle this fool! She had saved $200,000 over the years, but some of it was even scraped together from Diana. Although James Thompson was wealthy, he was always strict and controlled the spending of the Thompson children.
Maddie's allowance was also not much, and now she was being asked to take out $100,000 at once, which would be a huge loss for her! Maddie felt like she was about to explode. She wanted to yell at Ava and tell her to mind her own business, but she knew that wouldn't solve anything. Instead, she took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
"What's wrong, Maddie? Hurry up and take it out!" Ava couldn't help but urge when she saw Maddie not moving.
Lily frowned and could sense Maddie's dilemma. She said, "Maddie, if it's inconvenient for you, just take out a little less. After all, it's not a small amount."
Maddie breathed a sigh of relief. She was just about to say that she could only take out a small amount of money. However, Ava interrupted her and said, "It's okay. Maddie has such a good heart and such a close relationship with us. She will definitely give! Right, Maddie?"
Looking at Ava's trusting eyes, Maddie felt a lump in her throat and couldn't speak. If she didn't know that Ava was always this foolish, she would have suspected that Ava was doing it on purpose! What a terrible teammate! Now that she was put on the spot, Maddie found it hard to back out. She knew that if she didn't give the money, not only would the plan fail, but it would also cause a rift between them. So she held back the pain in her heart, forced a smile and said, "It's okay, I'll take out $100,000. After all, we're all friends here."
Maddie felt uneasy about parting with such a large sum of money, but she didn't want to cause any trouble in their relationship. She knew that this was the price of being part of their group, and she didn't want to be left out.
"Great! Maddie, you are truly my best friend!" Ava exclaimed as she hugged Maddie's arm tightly.
Maddie forced a smile, her hand shaking as she pulled out her phone and transferred one hundred thousand to Brandon. Damn it! Her heart felt like it was bleeding as she hit the transfer button. That was her life savings! And who knew if that scoundrel Brandon would ever pay her back!
She seethed with anger but couldn't express it. She gritted her teeth and blamed Diana for everything. It was all her fault for causing trouble! Maddie vowed to find a way to get revenge on Diana and let out all her frustrations.
At this moment, the mastermind Diana followed the manager and arrived at the underground parking lot of the Diohn Club. With a curious look, Diana watched as the manager walked up to an automatic door and pressed the button on the wall. The door began to rise up, and Diana's eyes widened with anticipation. As the door lifted completely, Diana finally saw the scene inside and was left speechless with amazement. It was a dazzling array of luxury cars!
"Oh my god!" Diana exclaimed in excitement, almost spinning around in place with joy. Her little face was filled with excitement. "Are all of these cars for me?!"
"Yes, they are all yours if you like them," the manager said with a smile.
The Thompson family was no stranger to luxury, with the fancy cars of the Diana model being a common sight. However, even for her, it was a first to see dozens of limited-edition cars right in front of her, all available for her to choose from! Diana knew a thing or two about cars, and she couldn't help but notice that many of them were globally limited editions, with prices that were out of this world. Diana felt like she was floating on air. She walked around, touching and admiring the cars, unable to contain the smile on her pretty face. However, she quickly regained her composure. She was still a student, and it was unnecessary to drive such an expensive car, especially since her father would surely disapprove of her extravagance. After thinking it over, Diana's gaze fell on a few cool-looking motorcycles at the back.
Her eyes lit up as she spotted a black motorcycle. "Can I choose this one too?"
The manager was taken aback by her enthusiastic appearance but then smiled and said, "Of course you can if you like it. However, a motorcycle may not be the most suitable option for you, is it?"
Mr. Matthews had prepared so many luxury cars for her, yet she chose a motorcycle? The manager couldn't imagine this pretty and innocent girl straddling such a big bike with such a carefree attitude. Besides, could she even ride it? If there was an accident, Mr. Matthews would blame him for it! As the manager was lost in thought, he suddenly heard a loud roar. He turned around and saw Diana wearing a helmet, sitting on the motorcycle, seeming eager to try it out.
"Miss Thompson, please...come down first, let's discuss this!" The usually composed manager was now showing signs of panic. This was too reckless! Just as he was about to say something, his phone in his pocket suddenly rang. He picked it up, and it was the supervisor from the first floor. After hearing what he had to say, the manager's face broke into a satisfied smile. "Good, you handled the matter well."
After hanging up the phone, the manager turned to Diana and said, "Miss Thompson, as per your orders, the group that was with you just now has paid $400,000 in full. Among them, the one named Maddie paid $100,000."
"$100,000? That's more than I expected!" Diana's mouth curved into a satisfied smile. Over the years, Maddie had not only borrowed things from her but also used her money. This time, however, it was just paying back with interest!
"Miss Thompson, the money will be transferred to your account later, please check it carefully."
"Just transfer $100,000, the rest can go to Diohn Club." Diana fastened her helmet and started the motorcycle again.
The manager watched in horror, "Miss Thompson, you're not thinking of riding back, are you?!"
"Sure, why not?" Diana could ride a motorcycle, and she was even quite skilled at it. But the reason why she learned was quite embarrassing... it was all because of Luke. When she was pursuing Luke, she tried to be cool and do things that she thought he would like, which led her to learn how to ride a motorcycle. However, she never expected to have a natural talent for it, and not only did she develop a passion for it, but she also became quite good at it. Unfortunately, Luke disapproved of girls riding motorcycles because he thought it was too wild, so she gave it up. But now, she had nothing to do with that idiot Luke anymore! She wanted to ride, so she would ride!
The manager was flustered. Was this girl serious? Diana noticed his concern and smiled confidently, "Don't worry, I've been riding for a long time. Do you want me to show you a trick?" Without waiting for a response, Diana grabbed the handlebars of the motorcycle, revved the engine, and lifted the front wheel off the ground, performing a wheelie around the garage.
The manager was so frightened that he clutched his chest and leaned against the wall, fumbling to retrieve a quick-acting heart pill. His hands trembled as he tore open the packaging and popped the pill into his mouth. Oh my god, this Miss Thompson was too wild! If something happened to her, he would be the one to the hell without finding any remains.
Diana's motorcycle skills were impressive. She had always been able to ride well, but since she stopped riding to please Luke, she had forgotten just how much she loved it. Now, as she raced around the garage, she felt free and alive. The wind was in her hair, and the roar of the motorcycle beneath her was music to her ears.
The manager watched in awe as Diana performed more tricks, doing stunts that he had never seen before. He couldn't help but be impressed by her skill and courage.
After a few minutes, Diana slowed down and brought the motorcycle to a stop. She turned to the manager and grinned, "So, do you still think I can't ride?"
The manager shook his head, still in disbelief. "No, no, you're amazing. I just... I worry about you."
Diana laughed. "Don't worry about me. I've got this."
