In the bustling city of Rouburgh, a young man who looked around the age of twenty could be seen heading to work. He worked in the management department of a company.
'I barely had any sleep last night, I'm so tired I might pass out right now.' The man's name was Trevor, he was quite handsome with golden eyes paired with his golden blonde hair. His skin showed a dark complexion, to some he could be an incredibly famous male model.
Could be! He could be!
In this unfair world there will always be more minuses than pluses, this could be a significant comparison to our protagonist. Little did he know that his fate would change entirely.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Damn it I'm already 20 minutes late!", I shouted in frustration. I knew that if I were late once again my boss would show no mercy. I work 12 hours a day every day, the only days I am not at work are the holidays. I live in a ridiculously small apartment, but at least I have a place to lay my head.
For my loving girlfriend, I would do anything. Her name was Alice, she had jet black hair, brown eyes, d cup breast and a beautiful figure. I rushed off my bike, running as fast as I could, nearly tripping over myself. I entered the building and almost immediately eyes fell upon me with frustration and disgust.
I knew these eyes tremendously well; I had known them most of my life. If not frustration and disgust, then it would be anger and pity.
"Well look who it is, you're a few minutes early Trevor," a man looking to be in his early thirties said while laughing hysterically. This man's name was Ben Johnson and he made Trevor's already troubled life more problematic while he was at work. Of all the people he collaborated with he disliked Ben the most.
"Why does he still come to work if he's always late."
"A dog would be more suited for this job then him."
"I wish the boss would just fire him already."
They all began to mock me, and I wondered what I ever did to them to make them dislike me this much. I am a friendly easy-going guy, why do I deserve taunts and mockery? Do not get me wrong, I have made mistakes but is life only about the mistakes you have made?
As I headed to my manager's office a feeling, I am familiar with began to surface. My heart pounding heavily, my body twitching and my fingers fidgeting. We have all experienced it before; it can only be known as "fear."
I hated this feeling, but I could not get rid of this feeling if I stayed the way I was. I walked into my manager's office to see a husky forty-year-old; he had gray hair and deep brown eyes. This man's name was William, and he was someone Trevor hated.
"Trevor, you make me sick, I've given you many chances and yet you still defy me," William said drowned in annoyance.
"You're fired you worthless dog, never let me see your face again."
I could not believe those words; I had only been here for a year and yet I still loved his job. This job was what kept me afloat, but now it was lost.
"You piece of shit leave my building now, hopefully you can find a job in your next life," William said full of anger.
As I headed for the exit, I began to wonder how I would pay my rent next, that tiny apartment was all I had to my name.
"Lucks not on your side this time, you worthless trash," Ben said which made the entire room erupt with laughter.
I continued my path and exited the building, still deep in thought about a new job. And I did what I always do when I am upset, I headed to my best friends house. He would always listen to my problems any time any place and Roman was his name.
His family was loaded with money with an overall net worth of $289 million dollars.
I took out my phone and dialed his number, and he immediately picked up the call.
"Hey Trevor, what's up man how have you been," Roman asked with an upbeat tone with the sound a female talking in the background.
"Not good man, not good," I said with a hint a helplessness in my voice.
"What happened, you're not having girl problems are you," he said with a teasing tone.
"Naw man I just got fired from my job and I have to pay rent at the end of this week," my voice began to grow quieter the longer I spoke.
If I did not pay rent, I would be like the people I saw on the streets, and that is what terrified me.
"Don't worry bro come over and we can sort this out," Roman said with a tiny bit of pity.
"Alright bro I'm on my way."
As I hung up the phone the feeling of gratefulness filled my soul, I knew that I could always count on him. He would offer me lots of money on many occasions, but I would refuse because I had a job. Plus, what kind of man would except money from another man with no way of paying it back.
I come from a family wealthier than his family, The Manchester Family, it is the second wealthiest family in Rouburgh City. They have a net worth of $400 million dollars, and they make over $5 million dollars a year.
They specialized in wineries and accommodation, owning the best bar, nightclub, and hotel in the city.
The days I were apart of the family were horrible, but it only started to after my mom died. I gathered my thoughts trying not to think of the past and rode my bike towards Romans mansion.
I had arrived at his mansion where I rang the doorbell and he answered and welcomed me In. He was a tall handsome man and looked around the age of twenty with hazel eyes and blonde hair.
I am always amazed at his house, especially the lavish interior design and custom furniture. I sat down on his couch as he handed me a glass of wine, the same wine manufactured by my family.
"So how much is your rent," Roman said as he took a sip of wine marveling in its flavor.
"Its five hundred dollars, you already know this," I said in confusion.
"Oh yeah, slips my mind sometimes," he said with a hint of disgust.
This had totally caught me off guard but before I could even respond I heard a dangerously familiar voice which brought confusion to me.
"Honey, I'm out the shower, I can't wait for you to punish me."
As I looked around fear attacked once again, followed by confusion, frustration, and a hint of anger.
It was none other than my girlfriend Alice, the one I would do anything for.
"Alice what are you doing here and why are you wearing that," I said as I stared at her wearing nothing but a bra and thong.
"He came to me because he lost his job it seems he's having money problems," Roman said holding back his laughter.
"Trevor its time we broke up, I can't lie you're devilishly handsome but that's all there is." "Trevor your nothing but a broke bum and I want nothing to do with you anymore, I've already moved my things out of that trash apartment," she followed up.
I sat there completely stunned, never in a million years did I think this would happen to me. I thought this kind of situation only happens in the novels I used to read.
I turned to Roman in anger and confusion, "how could you do this to me you were like a brother to me."
"I'm sorry Trevor what I want I will have even if it means severing our relationship," he said while looking at Alice with overwhelming lust.
He looked at me and said, "besides your not fit to be my best friend anyway now get out."
"Goodbye Trevor, I hope you don't become homeless," Alice said trying so hard not to laugh.
I hopped on my bike and headed home, I unlocked my door and went inside throwing myself on my worn-out couch. I sat there thinking at what point in my life did things started to go terribly wrong, and I found the answer.
It was when my mother mysteriously died, even though my mother was the healthiest person alive, she died from a heart attack. I sat there ready to join my mother in the afterlife.
I grabbed a kitchen knife and sat on my knees looking back on all the fun moments I had during this life. Drowning in tears I placed the knife at my wrist ready to end it all.
But suddenly, I heard…
