While Isaac, Damien and Ash fought for their lives holding back the golem monsters, Ray and the girls who had been woken from their light sleep fought a battle of their own to stay alive.
Unlike the others that were pushed by the golems into a corner to kill them off, Ray's side was swarmed from one passage that led to the opening where the cave they found was. In a way, they had already cornered themselves, so the golems didn't need to do much.
Even though the fight was hard and filled with dangerous attempts at their lives, it all began to feel different after the first level up. Leveling up served as a ray of hope for them in the fight, as it made the fight against the golems easier, but that didn't mean victory was certain, because the golems didn't even reduce in number even after killing ten of them. There was still a long way to go if they hoped to leave there alive.
Their main helper and the person they all worked to protect throughout the assault was Ashley, because she had no combat abilities at all, but her support and healing was more than enough to supplement her lack of destructive abilities as she helped them every other way.

"Well, it did say the dungeon of Noir, but to think the demons would also be black… very straight forward." Ren said to himself, much to the hearing of the others.
Following the door, they passed through, it brought them underground, into a maze-like place. Well, not exactly a maze, since it was extremely easy to make their way through it.
They also encountered their first monsters after reaching the maze. It was to such an extent that this dungeon could no longer be called just a labyrinth type, so according to Aug, it was probably a mixed type. As for exactly what Aug meant by that, Ren had no idea, nor did any of the other seniors.
Apart from the normal dungeon that gave the objective on arrival into the dungeons, which typically involved killing the dungeon boss or something similar, labyrinths would usually require the retrieval of some type of item or something of that nature, and the only time one would run into a monster would be during some kind of trial or when they get to the objective and have to deal with whatever guardian had been put in place to guard the objective.
These were not the only type of dungeons however, as there were some that could place you in a scenario and require you to play along. The possibilities were endless, but of course, these types and their counterparts were of rarer kinds.
After Solomon punched a hole through the last demon's chest, they proceeded, inching closer to the last part of the dungeon.
The demons they had been fighting and killing off were all bull looking demons that walked on two legs and could bend their hands into any shape, forming weapons and shields to use in fights. Throughout this raid, Ren had not needed to use any heavy skill from his repertoire, since his teammates were just so good that it wasn't required, not only that, but during this raid, he looked to have done the least amount of work.
'Everything's going as I thought it would. Perhaps, the only thing that's surprising is Reiner. I did expect it, but I never saw it coming when it did.' Ren thought to himself as he recalled the event from earlier, when they first encountered the demons.
Ren was the only one that stood surprised when Reiner pulled out a mace seemingly out of nowhere and bashed the head of a demon in with such force and strength that the floor below cracked.
'Man, this guy's just so good. A healer having support skills with combat abilities, that's just all the goodies in one package.'
With all that, Ren was the one having a calm raid with a smile on his face, even though only mentally.
"These monsters are definitely not our objective, so let's not dilly dally anymore and push forward."
"Well, this dungeon is looking to be easier than what it originally looked to be."
"Don't relax, Aug, stay vigilant." Reiner said before they kept moving.

"Sir, it was fruitless. We managed to catch him well enough, but then he self-destructed in a violent manner, injuring some of our people in the process." Larson explained.
Back in the academy, it had only been four hours since Solomon and his team entered the dungeon, but that short time frame was enough for trouble to rise within the academy.
Of course, the trouble stemmed from an attack from the syndicates. This time, two of them appeared instead of the normal one man army. The only other time more than one was active openly was during the kidnaping that happened earlier in the session.
"I see. I wonder what their plan s this time. They already have people inside from the students to the staffs, so calling out more security than normal during this time should suffice for now until we find out what they want." Fars said.
Even though it sounded like he was being too dull about the situation, it was mostly because they had been having the same problems for years now, perhaps since the formation of the syndicate organization. Their objectives had always been different each time, so it was hard to predict what they would do next. Apart from that, cutting the tail to scare away the body never seemed to be the case with them, they simply grew it back in pairs this time.
"See to it that everything goes according to plan. In the meantime, make sure all the students they are likely to target are safe. It's also possible that kidnapping the students is just a distraction, so be vigilant against the other "things" as well." Fars ordered.
Of course, if it wasn't kidnapping, that would mean the other students were also at risk. Anyway, the scale was high and it had always been like this, Fars was used to such pressure a long time ago. In fact, this could be considered child's play.
