Chapter 43 - Next Plan

'I can't believe they actually did that.' Ren thought to himself.

Specially because of him, an assembly was held to congratulate him on accomplishing such a feat that was thought to be impossible, and no less, doing it all on his own. Just overnight, Ren had become a star and gained actual fans all through the school, and also, he had gained unknown haters and enemies that he had never even met before in his life.

Fars had planned to air the entire thing for the world to see, after all, it was something worth that much attention, but even after Ren pleaded for it to be kept under wraps, he couldn't stop the little ceremony from happening.

'At least they agreed not to make it into a grand event. I would have preferred not to become so famous so soon, but whatever.'

"Hye hey! Ren! The man of the year!" Ash said as soon as he spotted Ren who was just about to go down the stairs within the class areas.

Ren stopped after that and just raised his hand to greet. It was typical of ash to act in this manner, Ren just couldn't avoid it now that he had been seen by the noise maker.

"Man, I can't believe it! I mean, I did know that something big was going to happen soon and all, but for it to be like this and to one of my friends, that's just so awesome!" Ash rambled on.

'Since when did we become so close to be called friends.' It was such a term people casually throw around, well, it was like that in any world, Ren wasn't bothered.

"I was lucky, I guess."

Walking together with Ash was Ray and Isaac. Ren was a bit surprised to see Isaac walking together with the other two since he didn't exactly like Ray's group of friends and had his own clique where he was the boss and called the shots.

"You guys going somewhere?" He asked casually, though he was a bit interested in what could make these three band together.

"Not really…"

"What do you mean not really, is training something you take for light?" Isaac retorted Ash.

"We actually just ran into each other on our way there, you?" Ray spoke.

"I'm heading back to the dorm to rest."

There wasn't much of a discussion, Ash wanted to know what Ren was given as reward and if anything interesting was going on related to his new status, but without Ren's intervention, Ray cautioned him before dragging Ash away to the training room.

'Just some days ago we spoke on how much stronger he was compared to us, but it seems we were wrong, he is so much more than what we could have ever imagined.' Ray thought in his mind as he dragged Ash away. Not just him, but Isaac also couldn't stand the feeling of being left behind, and the fire in their hearts to do more was enraged and burned fiercer than it ever had. It seemed impossible, but thinking that Ren was able to achieve such strength, they believed that they too could and were mentally prepared for the hardships that came with achieving it. Well, not everyone was that hyped… say, others like Ash and Damien were not so pumped just yet…

. . .

Right after all that, Ren found himself busy, because another dungeon yet to be discovered had appeared. Ren checked last time, about a month ago, but it hadn't appeared then. This was one of the secret dungeons the MC raided to get a particular elixir that helped him later when his bloodline began awakening and he experienced some disturbances.

Of course, there was no way Re would be able to raid the dungeon now that his level was high, all those opportunities were now out of the way.

'The dungeon appeared late, so I don't know if Ray will find it himself. I need him to do so and obtain the reward from clearing the dungeon.' The major thing that worried Ren though, was not whether or not Ray would find the dungeon, it was whether he would raid it with others like he did in the original story.

'Now that things have become the way they are; I might end up motivating him to do a solo raid instead of going the old fashioned friendship route.' Ren's worries were warranted because this particular dungeon wasn't about showing strength, it required a team, and that was a must.

"Heh, I hate that I have to get involved like this…" Ren said to himself as he lay on his bed facing the ceiling, preparing to go to sleep.

Ren really did need the sleep, because starting the following day, he will have to actively get Ray to raid the dungeon first, and to do so with a team.

'Not to mention, two important things are also about to happen… maybe just one… I need to prepare towards that end too. Though, I don't think I have to do much because I won't be doing anything to stop the plans of the syndicates this time.'
