"Yo! Your ride is here! Hand over the girl, just toss her over while I'm asking nicely." 'Uh, I really don't want to waste time here.'
"Hey, it seems you didn't come here alone, you dragged an idiot with you." Dominic said.
'Who's this idiot calling an idiot? Idiot.'
"I wasn't careful enough. Don't worry, I'll take care of it." The one Ren had been tailing said as he stepped forward walking towards Ren.
Ren could see the confidence his enemy exuded, but he could help but think how stupid it was to underestimate an enemy to that extent. Maybe it was because he thought Ren had tired himself?
Now that Ren took a closer look, his enemy didn't look particularly confident, he could only wonder what reason he had for not backing off after witnessing what happened to Marcel.
Well, Ren who was in a hurry didn't have time to play around with a small fry. Activating lighting impulse for only a second, Ren was fast enough to reach Dominic and take Yulia from right beside him and returned to where he was standing.
Ren moved faster than Dominic's eyes could follow, so before he could even react, Ren was back at where he was standing, leaving a barely noticeable trail of electricity, or in his case it would be lightning.
'…' Dominic who seemed a bit relaxed a while ago, maybe because he believed that the academy students who just enrolled wouldn't be able to compete with him, but it seemed he was wrong.
As Dominic turned to look at Ren who now had Yulia on his shoulder, he was a bit startled, seeing that the one who had made a move to attack Ren was already slit in half, and both sides on his body had fallen towards one another. In his mind, looking at Ren, he didn't see an academy student, no, what he saw was totally different.
'Who's this guy? Is he also targeting her? Is he from another organization? Not to mention…' He looked at the corpse again, 'this brutality, is not of a first year.' He concluded.
"You, who are you? Those are not the skills of an academy student who just got accepted less than a month ago."
'What is this guy? Does he think I'm going to have a conversation with him while he stalls for time?' Ren thought to himself.
Ren didn't bother with the questions and turned to leave. Taking that opportunity, Dominic was set to attack Ren from behind, but his body seemed to be stuck in place. It seemed like even his instincts were telling him that Ren was not an opponent he could content with. Nevertheless, he was the only one having such thoughts.
Out of the dark shading the rocky terrains, Dominique emerged with a dagger equipped in each hand as he rushed towards Ren, aiming to kill.
Dominic barely caught sight of when his brother went in for the kill, he had already sounded the warning in his mind for his brother to stand down, but as things would seem, a human's thoughts were always faster than their voices. In mere moments, Dominique had reached behind Ren and swung his blade that was went right for the kill, aiming to chop Ren's head clean off.
It would have been a clean decapitation, but right after cutting through Ren's neck, Dominique felt something wrong, an unfamiliar sensation, as if he had cut nothing but air, as though his target was never there…
"Scurry away, before the rescue team arrives," The brothers heard Ren's voice but couldn't catch his figure as he had disappeared. Well, his disappearance was the least of their worries…
"ARGHHH… KHUK… my.. my arm…" Dominique expressed pain while trying to control himself.
"H-Hey!" Dominic rushed over immediately as he saw blood dripping from his brother's arm, or as it was now, a stub. Dominic reacted fast by ripping off the shirt worn by the one Ren split in half, though he was a symmetrical corpse now. Without wasting time, he wrapped his brother's arm tightly to minimize the blood loss. He didn't for the wound getting infected at that time at all.
"THAT BASTARD… Come on, we have to leave, first." Dominic cursed, knowing that their situation would become even worse if they got caught and taken back for questioning.
Ren didn't just avoid an attack, he countered with a clean decapitation of his own, Dominique no longer had a left arm. The brothers no longer wasted any time there as they left in order to escape.
"FUCK THAT SON OF A BITCH!" Dominique cursed, he made sure to bring along the remaining part of his arm that had been cut off.
"If we can return early enough, maybe we can restore your arm. That bastard was too dangerous, it's my fault for not doing proper investigation." Dominic thought out loud.
Even though Dominic said so, he had done proper research on almost all the first year students who were noteworthy, even though that had the slightest of potential to be strong in the nearest future, he looked into all of them.
He had heard of Ren multiple times and even made sure to keep a close eye on him since he also stayed at block G where he had designated as his sub-hideout while in the school environment posing as a student.
To Dominic, Ren had always come off as just another handsome male student that all the girls thirsted for. He did cause a never seen before phenomena, but that only signified that his future was extremely bright, not that he would be able to split a water fall just yet. The rumors of how he defeated Linda also reached his ears, but then again, people had the tendency to over exaggerate, and since it came from girls that already placed Ren on some kind of pedestal, he couldn't take their words as he heard, it sounded too exaggerated.
'I was sorely mistaken…'
. . .
Ren who had managed to save Yulia was back at the place where the portal connected to, this was also where everybody else was waiting. The others didn't manage to catch those they were pursuing, and they were once again shocked to see Ren return with Yulia without even looking worked, it seemed like he had just gone to ask for her and she was handed to him.
'But why's he holding her like that though?'
'Why does it seem this scene resembles someone holding a bag of potatoes on their shoulders.'
The way he was holding Yulia on his shoulder was just too peculiar.
'To think she was the berserker girl… I'm speechless. I can't imagine that someone with such a barbaric class has such good etiquettes and is a bookworm.' No matter how much he thought of it, it just didn't add up at all…
Ren was happy to see that Marcel was strong enough to cheat death, so he was alive. He could already see the merits he would get later on. Since Marcel was still alive, it meant he could be tortured for information, and to Ren all that meant was extra merits.
After waiting for about fifteen minutes more, a portal appeared and the rescue team came through. The head of the academy got word of what happened and even sent a representative, someone with a good enough rank and strength who would take care of the situation no problem, and there were even some teachers from the higher classes present. In the end, they were the ones that got the shock when they learnt that none of the students had died and only suffered mild injuries. Yulia who seemed to have been drugged to make sure she didn't struggle was taken to the clinic immediately while the rest of the students were allowed to leave after giving an account of what happened.
Ren was also set to receive his merits once everything had been processed and followed due process for this case.
'It's finally over, now, when was the next kidnapping case supposed to happen?'
