Chapter 16 - Primos

Elys stood amongst a large tree as a large number of roots restrained a large Western dragon.

It was she fallen god Tenshin Ryujin.

Above them, Sun Wukong hovered lightly on his enchanted staff, Ruyi Jingu Bang, the magical weapon gleaming with celestial power. His golden eyes narrowed as he studied the bound dragon, and his mischievous grin was tempered with a rare seriousness.

"Well, well, Tenshin Ryujin," Wukong said, spinning his staff effortlessly in one hand. "For a being who once claimed dominion over storms, you're looking awfully… rooted in place."

The dragon growled, smoke curling from its jaws. "Spare me your wit, Monkey King," it hissed, voice reverberating with power. "Do you intend to mock me, or do you bring judgment?"

"Man I can't put you back in your seal after you just broke out sooo" The monkey King grinned before he continued. "You'll be useful in our grand plans against the pantheons, so I have a deal for you, Join the secret Pantheon and let's overthrow the main gods"

Tenshin Ryujin's golden eyes, like molten sunfire, narrowed as they fixed on Sun Wukong. The dragon's serpentine neck flexed against the roots binding him, but Elys's magic held firm. His voice, though restrained, still carried the weight of a tempest.

"A deal? You speak of rebellion against the heavens as if it were a child's game, Wukong. Do you believe the other gods will sit idly by as you plot their downfall?"

Wukong twirled Ruyi Jingu Bang before slamming one end of it into the air, creating a ripple of golden light. His grin widened, sharp and full of roguish charm. "Oh, they'll notice, all right. That's half the fun! But the truth is…" His voice dipped into something colder, sharper, like steel hidden beneath silk. "The heavens have been stagnant for too long. Their thrones are built on arrogance and fear, and it's time someone flipped the chessboard."

"HAH, do you think I would-."

"the other dimensions are being unleashed, a war which could destroy the universe would happen, while the Stars will watch in amusement and destruction will laugh in glee and happiness, as they both watch all destroy themselves, the savior will not come, the end will not happen and the beginning will not change, the stars will ignore all when in need, destruction will gladly rain down as it eliminates all. Do you know the true meaning of this prophecy" The air around them seemed to still, heavy with the weight of ancient words and foreboding omens. Even the restless roots binding Tenshin Ryujin seemed to quiver, as if the prophecy carried a gravity that reached beyond mere mortals or gods. Elys's eyes glimmered faintly, his lips pressed tightly together as he maintained the spell holding the dragon.

Tenshin Ryujin's molten gaze flickered toward Elys briefly before settling back on Sun Wukong. "That prophecy… those words are older than even the oldest stars. They speak not of mere rebellion, but of cosmic inevitability. Do you understand what you're meddling with, Wukong?"

Sun Wukong's grin faded, his staff resting lightly on his shoulder now. His golden eyes locked with the dragon's. "Of course I do, scaly one. But unlike the others, I don't plan to sit around and let fate play its game. If the stars will watch and destruction will laugh, then I say we give them a show worth watching." His voice crackled with unshakable resolve. "No savior will come? Fine. We'll save ourselves. The end won't happen? Then we'll write our own ending."

"I see, very well I will not pledge to you but I will fight alongside you" As he said that, Elys broke the roots restraining him, Tenshin Ryujin then looked at the two.

Suddenly a light covered him and his form slowly became smaller until what was left was a human figure. A man with long flowing purple hair and gold eyes stood where the dragon floated, he wore a long blue tone and on his arm was a slightly long fan.

Well, well," Sun Wukong chuckled, his voice light but his gaze unwavering. "You clean up well, Ryujin. But don't think this changes anything. You're still part of the plan now."

Tenshin Ryujin surveyed the two of them, his expression unreadable. The fan he carried flicked open with a smooth, deliberate motion, and the air around him shifted as though charged with static, the winds beginning to stir.

"I still owe no allegiance to you, Wukong," Tenshin Ryujin said, his voice now a deep, resonant hum, imbued with the power of a god who had seen epochs pass by. "But I will not allow the heavens to remain as they are. There is truth in your words, Monkey King. The order they maintain is fragile, and the time has come for it to crumble."

"Hmm sure, Hey Elys you wouldn't mind if we freed Anubis from his seal right?, I am pretty sure if we do the Egyptian Pantheon may join our side, haven't heard from them ever since Gaia and Nyx turned their entire world into that of a jungle and eternal Night" Wukong asked making Elys shudder as he thinker about his mother.

He really did not like Gaia... "I hate the entire Greek Pantheon so sure but I'll have to leave a clone on Xenox so some beings don't try to take my world away... though there is a fledgling god there"

Wukong blinked. "Okay"

....

Mark was currently in the Primogen Market, he was at a nearby store and had already bought everything he needed.

That is when he bumped into Cindy. "Oh hello mark, long time no see"

"...."

"...Why are you silent?" She asked with a hint of confusion.

Mark wasn't silent because of her, it was the small person beside her, Mary, she was rather calm when they hanged out yesterday but for some reason she seemed angry today.

And mark still had trauma from two days ago even though he is currently in a friendly relationship with her he still didn't want to meet an angry Mary.

"Oh, is it because of Mary's ugly expression, don't worry about her I just forced her to go shopping with me, that's why she is mad" Cindy explained with a smile on her face.

Mary jerked her head towards Cindy. "I wanted to take a nap?!"

"In the Afternoon? Not in our shared apartment" Cindy retorted, the smile was still on her face and it seemed she was slowly getting irritated.

"... I'm going to bite all your pillows until I tear them when we get back" As she completed her words, she felt a large hand grab onto her head and squeezed it hardly.

Cindy with a smile that reeked of immense doom and despair started talking. "Listen here you little midget, those pillows are rare and it took me ages to complete my collection, if you even date as to touch them I would make sure to throw you out of the apartment for six hours every day, do you understand me young lady"

Mark stood frozen, clutching his bag of supplies as he watched the chaotic exchange between Cindy and Mary unfold. It wasn't every day you witnessed a pillow-based death threat delivered with such motherly authority. He cleared his throat, trying to defuse the escalating tension.

"Uh… ladies? Maybe we can all just… relax a little?" Mark said, raising his hands cautiously.

Mary, still trapped in Cindy's iron grip, turned her narrowed eyes toward Mark. "You. Stay out of this."

Cindy let out an exasperated sigh and finally released Mary, who stumbled backward while rubbing her head. "Honestly, Mark," Cindy said, flipping her hair with dramatic flair, "you need to learn to handle bratty little gremlins like her."

Mary growled lowly, her crimson eyes glinting with barely restrained annoyance. "I am not a gremlin, Cindy."

Mark scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Why do I keep finding myself in these situations? he wondered silently. "Okay, look, why don't we all just… get something to eat? My treat. Peace offering?"

Cindy's smile returned in full force, as if the previous confrontation had never happened. "Now that is an idea I can get behind. I'm thinking something sweet. Oh! There's that dessert stand over by the central plaza."

Mary crossed her arms and huffed but didn't protest, which Mark took as a win.

As they walked, Cindy spoke. "Hey since we are walking, let's talk about the levels in god craft"

"Yeah what about it" Mark asked.

Mary sighed. "She's talking about the how you would have to evolve every time you reach level ten levels"

"You mean Ascend" Mark corrected.

"Depends, if you chose a humanoid race it is Ascending if not it's Evolving, My race is called High-Human and my class is Immortal" Cindy explained, walking ahead with a relaxed pace. "So, every time you hit level ten, your body and power evolve into something beyond what you were before. But for those who don't have a humanoid race, it's more of a natural evolution, like the way the world forces their bodies to adapt."

"So you're a tank since your class is Immortal" Mark exclaimed.

"Not quite," Cindy replied with a playful smirk. "Immortal doesn't mean invincible, but it does mean I can regenerate, endure, and outlast most things. I'm more of a heavy support—think of me as the type who stands in the frontlines while the others do the flashy stuff."

Mark nodded, trying to absorb the complexity of the godcraft system. "So, you hit level ten, and you evolve or ascend. But what happens when you hit higher levels? Like, if you get to level 100, for example?"

"I do not know, Primogen really did not reveal much information on the game" Cindy told him with a deep sigh.

"Tsk, maybe you would enter Stage one True god or something" Mary muttered as she looked up at the ceiling.
