Chapter 3 - Delilah? lady death? who are you?!!

Walking back through the expansive castle, Phobos gazed at the horizon, where two suns were nearly dipping below his sight.

However, this wasn't a cause for concern because Phobos knew that night didn't exist in the Sky plane.

From afar, the castle stood majestically, seemingly suspended, its foundation rooted to the clouds.

Large sparkling waterfalls flowed endlessly from a statue depicting the might of the All Father, Zeus.

Phobos stopped by a large door, adjusting his garment and smoothing out any rough edges with his palms.

"Would be wise if I go first before Deimos returns. It's not foreign knowledge that we are twins, but he acts like he is centuries older than me. Perhaps this time, I shall come first," Phobos grinned as he pushed open the large brown door.

He uncovered an open area with grasses and flowers spread out, like a field.

"I know you are here, Shiva. I went to your chambers, and you weren't there. Come out, now," Phobos said sternly, looking around.

A frown appeared when he spotted something odd—numerous black-colored moths hovering about.

"This is rather strange, black-colored moths? Is there a dead animal?" Phobos thought out loud, moving carefully through the grasses, eyes peeled.

He didn't have to look for too long; his foot hit something, and his eyes reached the ground, realizing what he was staring at.

"Oh, Shiva, how naive and stupid can you be? What have you done?!" Phobos reached out for Shiva, lying on the ground in a pool of her own blood with a short knife in her hand.

"Death is more of a leisure to me than sticking around, living with you and your brother!" Shiva uttered with spite, even as the color in her skin visibly faded, and Phobos could tell she was passing on.

"Do you love Eros so much that you'd take your own life?!" Phobos, unable to comprehend Shiva's rash decision, asked.

"I see no point in living. Death will at least be faithful to me," she stuttered, her strength waning.

Just then, Deimos walked in to see his brother, Phobos, kneeling with Shiva in his hands.

"What have you done, brother?! How could you let your temper slip to the point you killed her?!" Deimos asked, fury brewing in his eyes as he pushed aside his brother to have a closer view of Shiva.

"I didn't do anything. She did this to herself!" Phobos denied immediately, pointing at the blade he found on the scene.

"Oh, fair Shiva, I should have been here on time," Deimos said, shaking his head and staring into her almost lifeless eyes.

"You made it in time. Now set me back to the ground," Shiva demanded, and Phobos respectfully did as he was told, setting her to the ground.

"My journey begins now. I'm coming, my love," Shiva said, and at that moment, four black hands tore through the ground and grabbed her, pulling her completely into the ground with them.

Deimos got up, adjusting his garment before turning to Phobos who stumbled back, his eyes wide with shock and horror. He stared down at Shiva's lifeless body, his hands shaking uncontrollably._

"Now what?" Deimos asked Phobos.

In a vast, shadowy realm, echoes of abandoned souls murmured like distant ripples in an eternal sea. Amidst this desolation, Eros lay motionless.

A mysterious figure approached, initially resembling tattered remnants in the void. Cloaked in darkness, with malevolent red eyes and a lone horn, a female figure perched on it, gazed at Eros.

A subtle smirk crossed her face as she said, "The form of a god lying so still and weak. How ironic?" The voice echoed through the void.

The lady with a single horn walked towards Eros and placed a finger on his forehead which lit up mildly before receding.

The moment she did this, Eros's body jolted. He opened his eyes only to meet nothing but darkness.

Confusion formed a frown on his face as he looked around him, and the first thing that came from him was..."The underworld...smells like death," he said.

Shaking at the elbow region, struggling to get up, Eros looked up, eyes open to see the lady with the lone horn on her head staring at him.

"Get up and follow me," she said in a commanding tone.

"To where? How dare you talk to me in such a tone?!!" Eros irritatedly asked at once, now up on his feet and looking around him to somewhat make sense of his surroundings.

"You must really think highly of yourself. If that's so, then why are you the one dead?" The lady asked, spicing the disrespect with even more taunt as she had her back facing Eros.

"You still haven't answered my question. Where am I to follow you, and what you did to me, how did you set me free from that state I was in?" He asked.

"Allow me to introduce myself," the lady turned to face Eros.

She spread her arms out, and the wavy shadowy form began to loosen from her. In a second or two, she was now standing completely naked in front of Eros.

"I am known by many names. The Undoing, Delilah, goddess of the void but most famously amongst arrogant fickle beings like yourself who are stuck in the past, pretending to be living, they call me LADY DEATH!!" she proclaimed with eyes glowing more red.

As Lady Death spoke, the shadows around them seemed to dance in response, creating an otherworldly atmosphere

"Oh...okay," Eros responded.
