Chereads / The Tower of Swords / Chapter 8 - Floor 6

Chapter 8 - Floor 6

- Huh, what's that? A swamp? (Leon)

- What a strange floor... Everything's very different from the floors before. (Apollo)

- I think the monsters are getting stronger and more difficult. We should start upgrading our equipment. (Alexis)

- Agreed, my best item is that Death Knight Ring(A). I really want to find a new spear. (Leon)

As they were talking and advancing to the new floor, two Lizardmen attacked them. They have a hard time defeating them, reflecting on what Alexis said before, and the first thing they do when they get to town is either search the market for better items to buy or look for quests to get better items than they already have.

- Um... can someone lend me some gold? I found a pretty interesting set, B-grade, but I don't have enough money. (Apollo)

- How much do you need? (Leon)

- Um... the set is 60 gold, but I only have 38 gold. (Apollo)

- I can't help you. I'm also looking for a sword, I want to swap my level 50(B-grade). I saw a level 65(A-grade) one the other day that was 45 gold, but I didn't have enough before. I want to see if it's still for sale. (Gilgamesh)

- I'll help you; I didn't see anything interesting to buy anyway. (Alexis)

- We can split it, 11 gold each. After all, our only tank must have good equipment. (Leon)

After buying some items, they split up to look for a mission worth doing. After about 2 hours of searching, Leon sends a message to the others about a mission:

- Hey, I found an interesting mission. It says the reward is a level 60 bracelet, B-grade. What do you think? (Leon)

- It's better than nothing. I haven't found anything else except research or resource-gathering missions, but the rewards aren't worth it. (Alexis)

They gather at the place Leon mentioned, on the outskirts of town, where an old woman is staying.

- Young warriors, I need your help. Some Lizardsmen took my necklace from my dead husband. I need you to return it to me. (NPC)

- And how are we supposed to find a necklace when the area is so large? (Dante)

- Let her finish. (Alexis)

- I have a map here that marks the location of their tribe. Please bring me back the necklace. I will reward you with a jade bracelet of my own making. (NPC)

After receiving the map from the lady, they head to the marked spot on the map to try to complete the mission. A few hours later, they arrive near the point marked on the map but are a little puzzled about what they have found.

- This is where it should be, right? (Leon)

- I don't see any monsters around here. (Dante)

- But why is there a dungeon here? Is it related to the mission? (Leon)

- Looks like the point is heading for the dungeon. Who would have thought we'd get a mission that's linked to a dungeon? (Apollo)

- Should we wait and grow a little more? (Alexis)

- I need to do two more levels to use my new sword. (Gilgamesh)

- And I still need to do half a level for the armour. (Apollo)

- It's best to try to grow close to the dungeon to make sure no one comes near it. (Gilgamesh)

- We haven't seen many players on our way anyway, so we shouldn't worry. The quest is probably a one-off too so I don't think anyone else will be doing it while we've activated it. (Alexis)

And so, they spent the next 2 days growing. After 2 days, most have reached the desired level and are preparing to enter the dungeon.

- Why am I the only one not level 60? (Dante)

- Because you have your moments when you die unnecessarily and lose experience, if not, you were at least at our level. (Alexis)

- However, the three of us have barely reached level 61, while Gilgamesh has done 65... says Leon frustrated.

- We're going to grow harder and harder. Eventually, we'll catch up to him in level. I have 80% exp. for level 62. (Alexis)

-Whatever, let's get ready and go in. (Apollo)

Apollo puts on his newly purchased armour, while Gilgamesh changes his sword for the new one, he has been waiting to buy for over a week.

~Steel Armour - level 62, B-grade ...

6 pieces bonus set - +100 Defence, +50 Stamina~

~Sword of Courage - level 65, A-grade, +383 Attack Power, +16 Strength, +22 Agility~

After preparing their equipment they enter the dungeon.

After preparing their equipment they enter the dungeon. The scenery seems to be similar to that of the swamp, but there are villages in the distance.

- I didn't know there were more tribes. (Gilgamesh)

- And we're supposed to guess which tribe is the one we're looking for? (Leon)

- Did you not see the dungeon information? We don't have a time limit, so we'll probably spend some time here. (Alexis)

- What a pain in the ass... (Dante)

- See the positive side, we can beat each tribe and get more rewards. (Gilgamesh)

They begin their attack on the tribes, attacking one after the other.

- Attack the legs first, they have no armour there and we can decrease their mobility. (Alexis)

- We can crush their heads directly. (Dante)

- What would we do without your ideas? (Gilgamesh)

- Two more coming from the left. (Apollo)

- Yay. I'll deal with them. (Leon)

After a long time and defeating monsters almost relentlessly, they decided to take a break.

- How long has it been? I'm broken. (Leon)

- 14 hours and we've barely defeated 6 tribes. (Alexis)

- At least I'm up 2 levels. (Dante)

- And I'm almost at 63. (Apollo)

- The experience it gives is great. But I wonder how many more tribes there are to beat. (Leon)

- Probably four more? (Gilgamesh)

- I'd lean more towards six. (Alexis)

- You mean we have at least that many more to fight? (Leon)

- At least we get a lot of items and experience. The items are pretty good so they'll sell for something. (Alexis)

- Is there a supreme leader around here and does he have that necklace? (Apollo)

- I completely forgot about that necklace. (Leon)

- Necklace? (Dante)

- You know, the one for the mission. (Leon)

- Forget it. You've got no one to talk to. (Gilgamesh)

- What was that? (Dante)

- If you've got the energy to waste on bickering, I say we keep attacking tribes then. (Alexis)

After a break of about 30 minutes, they continue their attack for a few more hours until they get close to a larger tribe than the others so far.

~Tribe of the Lizardman Lord Zogmit.~

- These guys have a lord? Do they even have a king? (Leon)

- Surely the necklace is with this lord then. (Gilgamesh)

- Let's put an end to this madness. (Alexis)

- Now that's a dungeon. I never thought we'd spend a whole day storming a dungeon. (Leon)

Before the attack on the final tribe begins, a notification appears on the screen.

~Congratulations. Thanks to a brave group of players, Lizardman Lord Qvimal, the Boss of the 6th Floor has been killed.

Their achievement will be recorded in the Hall of Fame.~

- Hm. Looks like we missed this Floor Boss too. (Gilgamesh)

- I'm sure we'll get some equally good rewards. (Leon)

- Let's end this charade. Then we'll head up to the 7th floor. (Alexis)

A little time passes and they finally defeat the Lord.

~Congratulations on finishing the unique dungeon. Your reward is: 3 gold coins and 150 silver coins, Exp..., x15 Orichalcum(B), random item box (C-A)~

~Congratulations on obtaining Necklace of Memories(Mission).~

- Finally. (Apollo)

- That was tougher than I thought. (Leon)

- Looks like the necklace is on him. We're finally done with this dungeon. (Alexis)

- Still, I could offer some better items... At least it gave an item box. (Leon)

- Wow, I levelled once again. (Dante)

- Yeah, me too. (Alexis)

- Let's get out of here and finish this mission. I want to go to sleep after. (Gilgamesh)

They are out of the dungeon and heading to the NPC to finish the mission. After a while...

~Jade Bracelet – Level 60, B-grade, +10 to all stats~

- At least we got something good from this mission. I'm out, bye. (Gilgamesh)

- Good night. (everyone)

- What will you do? Leon asked Alexis.

- I'm heading to the market to put the loot for sale and then I'll log out too. (Alexis)

- Then, see you tomorrow. (Leon)

- Yeah, see ya. (Alexis)
