Max Dekker, a typical 21-year-old game coder at Fujima Corp, led a mundane life filled with a 10-hour job, no friends, and minimal social interactions—an introvert immersed in the world of gaming. While Max's mind operated at a leisurely pace in reality, he transformed into a mastermind when it came to gaming. One fateful late night, as Max diligently coded alone in his office, his computer screen unexpectedly displayed the status window of a gaming character. "What is 'Karma'? I haven't added something like that to the status screen. And what is 'World Jump Time'?" Max inquired, bewildered. "The welcome screen's design is finished, I should get to the status window format now but first, I will have a hot coffee." Max spoke as he slowly stood up from his chair and started walking towards the coffee machine that was in the hallway.

"Fuck... My legs are numb from sitting there, It's like I have been sitting for so many years." Max cursed as he felt the strange numbness in his legs but he ignored it and continued to walk towards the Coffee machine.

After reaching in front of the coffee machine, Max pressed the red button and a paper cup suddenly dropped out of the coffee machine.

*Tap*

After this, Max pressed the blue button and coffee started pouring into the paper cup.

"Hmmm~ Hmmm~ Hmmm~" Max started humming slowly as he looked at the dark hallway in front of him with a neutral expression.

'I have to perform good on this project or I can loose my seat in the team. Everybody is gone from the office except me because, I don't have someone to go back to... Except a small room, inside a big building.

My team has recieved this gaming project that we have to complete until the end of this month, it's a complicated MMORPG game, that will go live next month and only the basic things are left to be done. Like, welcome graphic design and character status screen.' Max thought as he took his coffee out of the machine and took a little sip out of it.

*Sip*

"Tastes like shit, but can't do anything about it now. This is all, I have for now." Max spoke as he walked back into his cubical and sat back down in his seat.

"Hmm... Let's see, where was I ? Yes, The status screen..." Max spoke as he placed the coffee cup aside and started typing once again.

His computer, that he switched off just a minute ago, Started working again without him pressing any buttons.

Suddenly the screen in front of him turned Red.

"Hmm...? What is this ? Some kind of virus ?" Max wondered as he immediately pressed the power button of his CPU and tried to turn the computer off but it didn't seemed to work.

Suddenly something appeared over the screen...

Max looked at the screen and noticed that the screen is showing him the same Game's Status Screen, that he completed designing before shutting it down.

The screen turned off immediately and the CPU stopped working.

"I don't want to deal with this shit anymore... I have to find a better company to work for." Max spoke as he placed his head over his table and closed his eyes in order to sleep.
