Shikaku stepped out of the office to look for two Chūnins to deliver the message to Mura and Gilgamesh.

As he walked through the hallway, he noticed a tall figure passing by. He greeted him, and the tall figure responded with a wave of his hand until Shikaku's eyes widened with an idea.

'Why not send this person to understand the mental state of Gilgamesh?'

This person was known for torturing and understanding a person's state of mind just by having a short conversation or studying them for a short while.

"Are you back from a mission?" Shikaku turned to ask the tall shinobi wearing a black jacket.

"Yes, I was just about to head to the receptionist's office and collect my pay," the tall man turned and responded. He wore the headband like a bandana, had two diagonal scars on his face, wore dark gloves, and had a very strict face.

"Why don't I trouble you a little?" Shikaku asked.

Gilgamesh bought a katana from the weapons shop two days ago, along with a hammer and other welding equipment from the blacksmith store. He had recalled memories of mana welding and decided to put them to use immediately. He went to work for two days.

This was the second day, and hammering could be heard if you approached his training spot in the forest.

A man in a black coat held a paper in his hands, approached Gilgamesh's training area, began wiping the sweat off his forehead, and wondered what was going on. He decided to use caution and found a barebacked ten-year-old in front of a furnace that looked like it was made of earth.

'Is that Gilgamesh?' the man in black asked in thought as he strained his eyes because of the heat and the sparks flying everywhere.

'Is he really a kid? From this alone, I know that his determination and will aren't lacklustre. Why have I been hearing rumours about him being overly favoured because of connections? I thought he was some brat not worthy of mention, but here he is, in front of the furnace without a shirt! I can't even go any further because of the heat!' The man thought as he took cover behind a tree that had gotten so hot it was almost burning.

'Wait. I, who can bear almost any torture technique known in the ninja world, am afraid to get any closer. And I am supposed to check the mental state of this kid to see if he is ready for an A-rank mission?' The man thought as the heat died down, and he could finally open his eyes properly.

'Is it over already?' he thought as he took a small flask from his jacket and drank the liquid from it but spat it out.

"It's hot!" the man exclaimed loudly and covered his mouth, worried that he had blown his cover.

"I thought everyone already knew that I am a sensory-type ninja?" Gilgamesh said that he made an earth pot without turning it and then filled it with water.

The man in black came out of hiding at that point and watched the way Gilgamesh effortlessly used the nature transformations.

Gilgamesh grabbed the katana by its handle and removed the rest of it from the furnace.

"Oi! You will hurt yourself!" The man stretched his hand to stop the boy but saw Gilgamesh simply dip the blade into the earth pot. Steam rushed out of the pot for a while until it cooled properly.

'Am I actually watching a child weld a blade right before my eyes?' The man in black thought as he kept getting surprise after surprise.

"How rude of me, sit," Gilgamesh said as the man in black dodged after feeling the earth rumble under him, but he was surprised when he saw a neat barstool made out of earth erect from the soil below him.

'Such perfect control! He didn't even need to weave hand signs! Is he really a kid or one of those little people?' The man in black couldn't refuse the offer because he wanted to test if the seat was actually durable or just a contraption that could last a few seconds since he had seen something of that nature happening before.

He watched as Gilgamesh brought the sword out of the water. The blade didn't reflect the sunlight, but it was a proper dark blade, which impressed the man in black. In the shinobi world, stealth was highly valued.

Gilgamesh then closed his eyes as he passed his energies through the sword and opened his eyes.

Gilgamesh then threw the sword away in a horizontal fashion with such force that it spun madly and cut three trees above the bark before stopping.

'Amazing!' The man in black thought as Gilgamesh floated a cup of cool water to him with wind nature.

'Impeccable control with wind nature! Not even a drop of water was spilt!' The man observed as he received the cup and looked at Gilgamesh. Finding no hidden intent behind the gesture, he drank from the cup, his eyes widening again. 'How was the water not hot? It was warm enough but not hot, cool enough but not cold.'

He finished his water and was about to make a comment when Gilgamesh stretched his hand.

The man wondered why he couldn't just come to him and collect the cup but was surprised when he saw that the blade Gilgamesh had thrown earlier was returning to him quickly. He almost dropped his empty cup and pondered if all he experienced up until now was real.

Gilgamesh caught the blade at the hilt and observed the sides of the blade before putting it in its sheath.

Now the man was scared of even interrogating the boy or asking him anything at all! What else could the boy have in store if everything he had seen so far impressed him? He even judged him to be a special Jōnin who specialises in making shinobi weapons or a specialist in teaching earth and wind nature transformations.

"I believe you came here for a reason, what's the matter?" Gilgamesh said as he walked into a pool he had artificially made and released a relaxing sigh soon after.
