"Is this how they want it?" Ōnoki asked, reading a letter from the Third Hokage.
"If it were not for that old man leading Konoha right now, I would have flown there and picked the brat up myself!" Ōnoki complained, tossing the paper aside.
"But that would only make the Leaf Village look good in the end."
"You're calling someone else an old man, what would that make you, jiichan? A relic of his time?" Kurotsuchi joked.
"Oi, show some respect, Kurotsuchi. You even failed to restrain one person last time!" Akatsuchi reprimanded.
"Don't count that shinobi trainer as an opponent alongside that kunoichi who uses snake jutsu! My opponent was strong enough to leave his ice kekkei genkai as a last resort. And he called that person his master!" Kurotsuchi argued.
"It doesn't matter. Gilgamesh is an enemy of the village now. Relay orders to kill on sight!" Ōnoki said, swiping his hand sideways.
"Really, Jiichan? That brat is strong. I don't think any shinobi can just take him on. He's probably going to be selected to be Hokage in his time. He's very bold and daring, and that doesn't sit right with me in the future when I take over."
"Ha. You have a point, Kurotsuchi. Should I update the bingo book?" Ōnoki asked.
"If you do that, it means you have publicly declared Gilgamesh an enemy of the state, and the other villages would like to know why. Would they buy the story from the Hidden Grass Village?" Akatsuchi pitched in, offering his reasoning.
"Tch. It seems I might have to deal with that nasty Akatsuki group to handle this," Ōnoki said as the office got dark.

Gilgamesh was strolling through the village when he came across Lord Hiashi walking into his estate.
"Lord Hiashi. Beautiful morning, isn't it?" Gilgamesh greeted.
Lord Hiashi had to crane his neck upwards to trace the owner of the voice, and when he found him, he frowned.
"I see you still haven't been humbled even after your suspension lately!" Lord Hiashi commented and walked into his estate.
Gilgamesh got down to follow suit and was stopped by two Hyuga guards.
"What is your business in my clan, Gilgamesh?" Lord Hiashi asked without turning back.
"I am interested in that boy training up ahead," Gilgamesh replied, unfazed by the guards stopping him.
"Where? I don't see any boy training here… oh. I remember now. You are a sensory ninja. You are almost as good as someone with the Byakugan," Lord Hiashi commented, turning to face Gilgamesh, who was still at the entrance.
"Yes. I would like to see if he could be a good fit for Team Zero," Gilgamesh said.
"Hahahahahahaha. Surely you jest! Your team that was newly created for you got suspended indefinitely after its first mission, and yet you dare say you want to check if the boy would be a good fit for your ZERO squad. I think not!" Lord Hiashi said, turning to leave.
"May I remind you that the fence sitter and his aides attacked me but still couldn't scratch me or stop my squad from escorting Ebisu and Anko back to the village safely? Lord Hiashi, do you think you stand a chance against that old man?" Gilgamesh chose his words with care, making sure each sentence caused a pause and a spike in Lord Hiashi's heart rate.
"Baseless rumours! For all I know, you all could have begged for your lives in the most unsightly way," Lord Hiashi shot back.
"Ho. Would you like to put that to the test?" Gilgamesh said as he let his chakra forcefully leak out of him in a controlled manner, causing an ethereal pressure otherwise known as chakra pressure in the Hyuga estate.
"You dare cause trouble in my clan?!" Lord Hiashi cried out, attempting to fight Gilgamesh.

Meanwhile, in the Hyuga clan,
"I am Gilgamesh, and I am interested in you, a bird in a cage," Gilgamesh said, relaxing on the fence near where a boy trained.
A boy with long black hair and white eyes, who wore a beige shirt and dark brown shorts, paused after hearing "bird in a cage" and eventually spoke, "How did the guards not notice you already?"
"I invaded your home, boy. What are you going to do about it?" Gilgamesh asked as he jumped down from the fence.
Gilgamesh wore a black embroidered half-kimono with gold highlights, black pants, and black ninja sandals. His attire looked expensive and at the same time built for stealth.
"Normally, I would ignore you, but you are disturbing my personal training time. Leave now," the boy demanded.
"Why don't you train with me? If you can hit me once, I won't bother you," Gilgamesh said with a smile while folding the rest of his fingers back on his right hand except for the index, indicating one.
"Ha. Amusing. It's not every day I get to see something like this. Sure," the boy said as he lowered his stance, preparing for a spar.
"But if I win, you will do as I say," Gilgamesh said as his red eyes glinted in the sun's rays.
"Hmph. Assuming that's possible. I am already bound to slave away to the main family. Everyone is cursed or blessed at birth. Your limitations are already set in stone! And I don't mind beating that into you! Here I come! Ha!" the boy announced and then dashed at Gilgamesh.
"Hey. Don't go throwing me your life story when I asked for something simple, brat," Gilgamesh said as he moved his head sideways to dodge the first strike from the boy.
"Which clan are you from? I don't recognise any of them with hair colour like yours," the boy said as he continued jabbing at Gilgamesh's chakra points but only jabbed at the air.
"You are definitely not a normal person to be this trained at my age!" the boy continued as he jabbed at Gilgamesh again.
"And you talk too much," Gilgamesh said, swiping his hand and manipulating the wind gale palm jutsu to push the boy away.
"Wind release? Fine. I will take you seriously then," the boy said as veins popped around his eyes.
"Byakugan!"
