Raymond and Ariel got to the side where the food table shone its delicious rays.
"Are you okay?" Raymond asked Ariel and she quickly smiled, nodding her head as she said,
"I'm okay. Just got the creeps for a moment there." Her convincing smile made him worry more. As great an actress Ariel was, it was almost impossible for her to hide pain and fear in her eyes.
Raymond placed his hand on her face, caressed it a bit and leaned in. Everyone had their eyes on them so seeing him suddenly lean closer, they were eager to know if he was going to kiss his partner or not. In any case, their eyes were wide open as they watched them.
Raymond leaned in but instead of kissing her on the lips, he pressed his own lips on the corner of her left eye.
"They're staring." Ariel muttered, after catching the eyes of many that were on them.
"That's good." Raymond said as he moved away and Ariel stifled a laugh. "What is it?" He cluelessly asked.
