After Kaoma's last words the conversation between them kind of died down.
A few minutes later Kaoma snuggled closer to Maxixe and whispered softly in his ears, "Please Maxixe, add more wood to the fire, just feels like the temperature is dropping, it is so freezing."
Maxixe got up to stoke the fire and add some more logs to the fire then he fanned the embers until flames roared up the blackened chimney.
They both decided to continue to sleep together on the couch since thanks to the huge fireplace this room was the warmest in the entire cottage.
After he ensured they would have enough heat to last them through until the morning Maxixe returned to the couch and pulled Kaoma's body more tightly against him.
He felt her heat; she was burning up again, her breathing was low against his neck.
