Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

Benjamin's POV

"I'll be with you shortly," I said, hastily slipping my wristwatch onto my wrist. The familiar weight of it felt reassuring as I glanced at the time. I couldn't afford to keep my driver waiting for long, especially after he had called to inform me that he had arrived at my lounge.

I quickly gathered my phones and placed them on the table by the door. One for work, the other for personal use – both demanding my attention constantly. My friend, James had sent a few messages, and his name flashing on my screen made me burst into laughter. He was asking for an update about my night with Isabella. I had to remember to respond when I had a moment.

With my essentials in hand, I rushed downstairs, taking the stairs two at a time. My driver had been with me for years, and he was always punctual. I couldn't keep him waiting any longer, not when he had made the effort to notify me of his arrival.

As I stepped out into the cool evening air, I couldn't help but wonder if Isabella's enchanting presence would linger in my thoughts during my ride home or if it would fade into the background, just like the watch on my wrist, a constant reminder of time passing.

He opened the back seat door and I swiftly got into my Bentley Continental GT. He got in shortly and shut the door while igniting the engine. The car started shortly and he drove off.

"I hope Philip is back?" I queried, my eyes glued on my phone scrolling through the social media. A winery company had emerged and it seemed to have been in the public's eyes, almost taking our spot and it was slightly making me uncomfortable. It was a reminder that we need to buckle up before a new cat takes our place.

"Yes, sir. He returned to the mansion last night," he said firmly.

Raising an eyebrow, "And mother?"

"She's alright…" he said hesitantly

"Okay?" I replied, gesturing to him to go ahead as it seemed he had more to say.

"Ma'am Emily was visited earlier, she had come to see her," he said, sighing as he finally said what was on his mind.

"Tf! Emily will never know when to stop," I said, tossing my phone away to relax in the car seat.

"Hmmm," I sighed in contentment at the thought of Isabella.

The encounter I had with her left me completely captivated. It's strange how someone can creep into your thoughts and turn your world upside down in just one evening. As I sat there smiling, reminiscing about our time together, I couldn't help but wonder how it all happened and how I might have been drawn to her.

From the moment I saw Isabella on that strip dance floor, there was an aura of mystery and charm about her that drew me in. Her body moved slutly like a snake, and her eyes were charming. We talked about everything and nothing at the lounge, and every word she uttered seemed to resonate with me on a deeper level. The sex was totally amazing. She handled me professionally like no one had ever done. I found myself hanging onto her every word, her every gesture.

"Sht," I cussed, smiling sheepishly like a little boy who got a Christmas present.

Even though I was deep in thought and imagination, I could still see Gary as he gave me a side eye from the mirror. He wore an unmistakable sheepish smile as he peered at me. My emotions have been playing out on my face and I had no idea.

"Gary," I said, catching his reflection in the mirror. "Focus on the road."

Startled, Gary swiftly removed his head from the mirror's view, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment. He cleared his throat and fixed his gaze firmly on the road ahead. It was as if he had been snapped out of a daydream, realizing that he had been caught in a moment of distraction.

"Of course, Mr. Benjamin," Gary replied, his voice slightly shaky. "I apologize. I'll keep my eyes on the road."

"Isabella," I mouthed, returning to my musings.

I couldn't shake the feeling that Isabella had cast a spell on me. I was left wondering how a woman of such job status had become such an integral part of my thoughts and feelings in such a short period. How is it possible that I've fallen for her so deeply and so quickly?

"We're here, Sir," Gary said, pulling me out of my reverie about her with a gentle reminder that we had arrived back at the mansion.

"Right," I said, getting hold of myself.

I made my way into the mansion, totally forgetting the housekeepers outside who had come out to welcome me.

"Benjamin, we need to talk," my mom's voice suddenly rang out from upstairs as I walked through the living room, heading to my room. Startled, I looked up to find her watching me as she caught me off guard.

"Mom, for f*ck sake I just got home!" I exclaimed, a mix of frustration and exhaustion in my voice.

"Hey, hey, hey, manners, boy," she cautioned, her tone firm but gentle as she reminded me to be respectful.

I sighed as I made my way to her room.

"Emily was here. Benjamin, I think you should let go of whatever happened between you two,"

She sighed and continued, "Emily almost cried her eyes out here today, promising to never ruin y'all relationship again if you ever forgive her. She still loves you, she really does. Please forgive her," she concluded, her words filled with a plea for understanding and compassion.

"Mom, I really don't understand you anymore. We both decided to move on from Emily. What exactly are you trying to do?!" I questioned, a sense of confusion and frustration welling up within me.

"I'm trying to help my son!" she exclaimed, her voice evident of urgency and concern.

"Help? Mother, Emily lied to me. She never loved me; it was all about my wealth. And you want me to take her back?!" I retorted in bitterness and disappointment.

"Benjamin, you have the money. If they keep coming because of it, then let them have it!" she urged, her tone carrying a sense of resignation.

"OMG, Mom, I'm done with this conversation!" I exclaimed, my frustration reached its peak as I turned away, unable to continue discussing the topic.

She went after me, trying to hold me back but my phone rang, interrupting the scene.

Picking it up, "Yes?"

"What?! Who?! Fucck!"
