Chapter 52 [Crevasse 4: Dungeon Creation]
After some time, we earnestly began constructing the dungeon. Two additional layers were added, and the newly sprouted dungeon seed was moved to the bottom layer. We facilitated its growth by occasionally supplying magic and earthly water and fertilizer. Recently, it finally grew into a small but complete dungeon core. It was truly a moving sight.
We also applied earthly water and liquid fertilizer to the floors and walls around the core, smoothly transforming them into dungeon walls.
As the upper layers were still in the early stages of dungeon formation, we dug small passages that would serve as nests for the smaller inhabitants. Win's children were incredibly active in this process. It might be time to give them names. I also placed various things like flower pots and pipes from Earth, creating dwellings and hiding spots. Water sources were constructed on each floor as requested. The structure resembled what might be described as a "porous biotope" on Earth. It received positive feedback from the Crevasse group.
Compared to our cave, Crevasse lacks vigilance and search capabilities. Therefore, I asked Haifa for assistance.
"Hey, Haifa. It's a bit awkward, but can your body undergo plant division or splitting? If possible, I'd like to transplant a duplicate to Crevasse."
"Yes, it's fine, Master. If you could transport a part of my body there, it should settle and work just like here."
"Haifa, are you really okay? You're not pushing yourself too hard, are you? I don't want to force you, so if it's tough, let me know."
"No, Master. If I increase my duplicates there, my vigilance ability will also improve."
"Huh? Can you communicate with the duplicate transplanted there?"
"Yes, I can."
With this agreement, Haifa's duplicate was transplanted to the upper layers of the Crevasse Dungeon. Lavishly providing Earth's water and more, the mycelium extended smoothly, and the external vigilance capabilities increased. I was worried about the dry external environment, but thanks to the water flowing from Crevasse's spring, greenery gradually appeared around it. Haifa could collaborate with these plants. To further enhance Haifa's vigilance ability, I slightly increased the water volume in the spring, creating water flows outside and expanding waterways everywhere. If plants grow there, Haifa's vigilance ability should improve even more. This is something that will require a long-term effort.
In this way, Crevasse's dungeon gradually took shape.
