"heyyy... H-hey." I heard Kaya's voice say, I felt her fingers run through my hair and then her hands cupped my face, trying to make me meet her eyes.
I didn't want to meet her eyes, I could not look at her.
"Baby…?." She started saying but she trailed off.
I shook my head telling her that I didn't feel like talking yet.
Regaining self awareness, I tried to stand up, I failed.
"They left." Candice said, I looked at her. She turned to Kaya waved her a goodbye and then she left too. Kaya sat on the floor beside me and we didn't speak.
We just stared at the thin air. I was glad she was beside me, her presence alone breathed life into me. I reached for her hand and held it, she gave mine a squeeze.
Tide appeared at the end of the hall after some minutes.
"Hey." Kaya said to him, his eyes travelled from me to Kaya.
"What happened?." He asked her.
