Chapter 27 - ALPHA ALARIC

"Please stop coming closer to me." I warned Alaric, it was more of a plea than a warning.

He broke a very charming smile.

"Damn, you're beautiful." He said to me

"Thank you." I told him cautiously.

"What are you doing out by this time, it's late human." He said circling me.

"Stop doing that." I warned him.

"Can you just stop being paranoid?." He asked me with a laugh.

It's the middle of the night, you're a man that's coming towards me... Shouldn't I be a little bit cautious?

"Why are you still up at this time of the night?."

"It's none of your fucking business man, beat it. Leave me alone, I'm just walking, you're also out by this time so I guess you have somewhere to be..." I said to him.

He laughed again.

" I don't have anywhere to be..." He said teasingly.

"Then leave me alone." I told him.

"You haven't answered any of my questions damsel.

"Why do you think that it's okay to stop me from walking?." I asked him.

" I'm Strong, you're not." He told me.

"Don't keep your hopes up yet, I might be a shape shifter. My true form might be a goblin" I warned him.

"I like you already."

I scoffed and started walking away.

"Who said you're allowed to leave yet?." He asked me, his voice was hard.

"Yeah, you can try all you want but you don't scare me." I told him nonchalantly.

I felt a strong hand on my shoulder, it was him, Alaric, he turned me to face him and he smelt my neck.

I pushed him away and threw a slap across his cheeks. I had to hold myself from telling him I belonged to someone else, I didn't anymore.

"What kind of guy smells a girl he just met?." I asked in annoyance and my mind fell to Lycan the first day we met in that strip bar, the way he had smelt me, I loved it, it drew me like a magnet... But Alaric repelled me.

"Fiesty, I love fiesty girls." Alaric mumbled shaking me out of my thoughts.

I turned away from him one more time, I felt his hands on my shoulder again and I gritted my teeth In anger.

"Where are you coming from, where are you heading to." He asked me.

" What's your name?." He asked me.

It struck me that there was no one to save me from Alaric and he was not planning on letting me go.

"How the Fuck do I end up in situations where I need someone to rescue me from?." I asked myself In frustration.

He laughed, his laughter felt like tentacles crawling up my back.

I paid close attention to his teeth, was I loosing my sight again or were those fangs hiding behind his lips.

As I watched them they seemed to grow longer, he seemed taller and more muscular.

"... since you're not going to reply any of my questions, I would have to punish you." He said in a voice that scared me.

I looked around, it was so dark I could barely see my hands, up ahead there was a bus station, there was no body in sight.

I swallowed hard.

"What?." I asked him trying to force my voice to sound hard, he saw through my act and he laughed In pleasure.

"Okay Alaric, Alpha as you call yourself... I'm sorry for not answering any of your questions, if you just let me go we'll both be on our way."

"It's too late for any apologies." He told me closing the gap between us.

My blood felt clogged and my fingers were numb as if they had been kept in ice for hours.

There was a howl that floated through the night... Howls?.

I didn't know wolves lived in this part of the... Alaric was no where to be found.

He had just vanished.

There was crumbling of leaves... A hoot and then a growl.

My legs kicked itself into life and I started running towards the bus station.

"Where do you thinking you're going?." Alaric asked in a rough voice, he had returned, he was standing behind me.

"This is crazy." I admitted. "You're crazy, get away from me." I yelled still running, I heard his footsteps behind me and I turned to see him chasing me, in horror I screamed and then my feet caught a rock.

I fell to the ground and I felt my skin tear in many different places from the sharp edge of the rocks.

"Leave her alone!." A deep familiar voice commanded.

It was Elvis, I never knew that I would be relieved to see him.

" Silver moon pack, stay away from this, this isn't your territory, I'm not hunting in your ground... I'm just playing around with this blondie over here, we're just having fun, c'mon tell him." Alaric said kicking my leg.

Pain shot through my entire body.

" I see that you don't know what you're doing, so I'm just going to warn you." Elvis said, he looked more menacing than ever.

I thought I could see fangs glinting in the darkness from behind his lips. I must be seeing things!.

"What?." Alaric asked, for the first time I sensed fear in him, how did they know each other, how did Elvis even get here.

My head was about to explode with questions, there was something nobody was telling me.

"That Blondie over there is Lycan's lady." Elvis told Alaric.

" Tell Lycan I am sorry. I didn't mean to play with one of his sex dolls. I saw her and it's crazy for any body to be wandering around by this time. I mean no harm, I'm serious." Alaric said, I saw his hands trembling, his voice was shaky.

Elvis laughed.

" No Alaric, you've got it more twisted, when I say his lady I mean his official lady, she's his mate. From the looks of it, you've hurt her, I can smell the blood, can't you?. "

Alaric's eyes widened in shock, he turned to look at me... He ran towards me and helped me to my feet.

" I am sorry, so so sorry." He said going on his knees.

" Lycan would get really angry... No one likes it when he gets angry at them, they don't live to tell the tale... You did the most abominable thing on earth." Elvis said to Alaric.

The very strong aura he had became a fearful and anxious one.

" No body told me he had a human mate, look she's human!." Alaric said.

There was a howl again, it was louder than the first one, my knees could barely even hold me up.

Without another word Alaric ran into the woods, he turned to me and shot me a look that I couldn't comprehend.

I turned to Elvis... He was gone.
